  1. I've noticed this too (see my post on your other thread), rather than having a force stand/crouch order though (imagine if you forgot to take it off when you moved them out into the open!) perhaps when troops are in terrain that blocks their LOS when prone the tac AI could force them to crouch/stand, only going prone when they need to take cover.
  2. I'm not sure about the first example, but I believe in the second example the fact that the units are prone could have something to do with it. Quite often I'll plot a move to behind a wall, or in a field or the like, check the LOS there and once the units get there and go prone they lose that LOS as the LOS is now calculated from the prone position but when you check it on the waypoint it is calculating it (presumably) from the stood position. Having said that it does look like those guys could clearly see that ground you are pointing too so that may be a little bug.
  3. RE the gill, I've not noticed any landing short, but I have noticed they tend to land about 1 action spot behind the target quite often, no idea if this is accurate or not though.
  4. I was thinking about this last night actually, and that point you make there sort of counteracts the rest of your arguments, especially with regards to the KO'd vehicles. CM is all about gameplay (IMO), now would lots of different, accurate models for KO'd vehicles be good? Of course, but would they improve gameplay? Not really, once a vehicle is KO'd it's effect on the battlefield is pretty much the same no matter what state of damage it is in. With regards to textures, I've sort of come to the opinion that while a lot of the base textures are awesome by themselves, there is no point BF putting in hours and hours of work on them to get them looking as good as they can when it's likely that they will just get modded anyway
  5. + 1 I mean we already have American trucks in CMSF that you can load troops into and get ammo from
  6. I'd realised that, I just lost my base game installer file lol : )
  7. Still looks iffy to me. I don't know where the firing ports on a BMP are but i'm presuming they are where my white circle is? currently the fire is coming from the black circle PS, Not complaining, I would rather see other things before this : )
  8. Two British infantry companies go up against a militia force with mechanised reinforcements. 2 hours long, lots of blue support, big map. Blue Vs AI and mebbe H2H Any volounteers to playtest this bad boy? Briefing:
  9. Thanks : ) There's no real rush, my opp is waiting for the 1.30 patch anyway as he's not going to get NATO
  10. Oh right. Not sure I've noticed that behaviour. What range are they at? I know in CMx1 target arcs would make troops more likely to shoot at further away targets etc, no idea if this behaviour made it into CMx2 or not though
  11. Just finished the 2nd mission. 5 KIA and 5 WIA and 2 fenneks lost (+2 mobility kills), not bad I thought but still enough to fail the friendly casualties param, I did force a surrender with 20 minutes left on the clock though so got a total victory. Im really glad the AI did surrender, there must have been 100 troops left in the town. Now I'm on the third mission and my arty is empty, I was sure it said in the campaign briefing that ammo conservation wouldn't be a priority as resupply would happen between missions.
  12. I believe one of the 1.30 patch features for CMSF is that units are less likely to fire outside of their target arc, perhaps this is a feature that was just put in the standard CMA
  13. I've seen that happen many times in CMSF too. As to whether it would cause the HE round to detonate or not I have no idea, the human body is a relatively soft thing (compared to a wall or the ground) so it doesn't seem implausible to me that the round could go through without detonating. The human body on the other hand would very likely explode, literally, that would be very cool to see but I don't expect to see it for at least another 3 titles if we ever see it
  14. Yup, if you request arty/air support in the initial orders phase it arrives within the first minute.
  15. Hmm so It should be working, anyone any ideas why mine isn't? could it be that because I got somebody else to save it in 1.21 it could be a licence issue?
  16. Sorry, wasn't trying to imply that anyone was completely unaware, hence the disclaimer at the end lol
  17. I suppose you could make the argument that they are also less informed/educated, but then again I don't know anyone over there so who am I to judge : )
  18. Care to enlighten me on how to do it? : )
  19. Hmm looks like ive gotta buy a fresh copy of CMSF then, damn you BF punishing me for my over eagerness to get NATO lol
  20. Ok so I bough NATO and am now on 1.30. Started a game in 1.21 now I'm struggling to resume it. Somebody mentioned that I needed to open the PBEM file in 1.21 then save it as a save game file then load it up in 1.30. I got somebody on here to do that for me (thankyou whoever it was, forgotten now lol) but that file still didn't work. Tried it in my incoming email and saved game folder and in both ones it just crashes to desktop after about 75% loading. Am i doing something wrong or is it just not possible to continue a PBEM game started in an earlier version?
  21. Oh and regarding the IEDs on the bridge. The warriors have IED jammers, just put one at each end of the bridge and the trucks can go past it safely : ) PS: Of course after sweeping 100m either side of it with inf to watch out for any wire IED trigger men : )
  22. It's quite obvious what your problem is. You are calling warriors bradleys, the crews won't like that ; ) In all seriousness I only got through this one with minimal casualties with a lot of saving and reloading
  23. Also I brewed up a BMP with KETF rounds so that suggests to me they're not working properly
  24. I believe it is that the PPHE doesn't show up unless the GMG is dismounted. I tested it once and the PPHE can be fired first when dismounted
