  1. I just finished playing this scenario last night. Very enjoyable. I played Americans. My Shermans took out almost all the axis armor. As someone said in this thread, one must avoid the temptation to go offensive in this one. I made the mistake, however, of trying to grab the orchard/plateau objective with my Shermans, I thought I had taken out all the enemy tanks but a Pzkw Mk IV sat quietly in the trees. As my lead Sherman approached the crest line, BOOM! , drilled in the turret by a 75mm shell. That caused me to jump out of my chair. it startled me. I like that about this game, it sometimes does that to me. Some people are critical of the games A.I. but I thought that was clever how that tank decided to ambush me like that. I stayed on defensive the rest of the game and got a narrow victory. I have to take better care of my infantry too, I always lose too many.
  2. But didn't someone say to think "weeks not months" ??
  3. So will CMFB be be more like a Crepe Suzette or a Funnel cake?
  4. But Wait! Didn't they say that the "battle pack" would be released slightly before CMFB? I don't see this "stealth release" in a negative way at all. BF is giving us something to gnaw on before the big event, when CMFB goes silver to master.
  5. Me either. CM excels most as a tactical game, with relatively smaller scenarios imo.
  6. Yes! That is kind of what I was hinting at in my soliloquy! Anyway, how many spotting rounds before we get to place an FFE counter ?
  7. Yes I agree with you 100 percent. But when I thought of that Pelosi remark it made me smile and try to use it in a CMFB context. This being an election year with so much at stake, esp after the passing of SCOTUS justice Scalia, the temptation to talk politics is great. I better quit before I get in trouble though.
  8. To borrow from Nancy Pelosi : "They have to release it so we can find out what's in it" Umm that was an "Affordable Care Act" reference meant as kind of an analogy to release of CMFB. I can assure everyone that the latter was far better researched and read than the former.
  9. Ok now is the time for a soliloquy. Who for? Well for me, that’s why it’s a soliloquy. Me: It is now past mid February. By this time in 1945 the Battle of the Bulge was over and allies were Preparing to cross the Rhine, Myself: So?? What’s your point? Me: Well I was kinda hoping to get CMFB in December or early January to coincide with the historical time of year the battle was fought. Myself: Well get over it. Can’t you just pretend it’s that time of year? Why does it have to coincide with the time of year anyway? Me: I don’t know. It kind of helps with the immersion somehow. Myself: Why don’t you immerse your head in some water or something? Me: Meet me outside. We will settle this. Be ready for a knuckle sandwich. Myself: Ooooh I am so scared. Me: Just get on out here and we’ll see who’s scared. And don’t bring your friends. Oh that’s right , you don’t have any friends.
  10. Aw ! disappointing news but as someone once said, the longer the wait, the sweeter the wine
  11. A very impressive list of vehicles. I noticed the Maultier rocket launcher seeems to be absent but its probably more appropriate to offboard representation. I am glad to see M7 Priest, Hummel and Wespe though
  12. Thanks very much for that reply. I am going to have some pre-CMFB snow fun in Italy.
  13. Is there a snow scenario in the CMFI - Gustav Line? If so I would like to try one without loading all of them to see. But it looks like such condition presently only can exist using the QB maker
  14. He was probably using some kind of proxy software. It lets you pretend to be from another place, temporarily. But people like that have certain patterns that give them away.
  15. He "Wiggum15" started that "new features thread" and got it locked and then came to the Christmas bones thread and he was obviously trying to get it locked to. I personally dislike the label "troll" but in his case he clearly met the criteria to earn that distasteful name. The forum will be a lot more fun to read and share ideas without that persons strife stirring. Cmx2 is a REALLY good game and the bones shared make me more excited about the new title CMFB. Thank you Battlefront for always giving us something to look forward to.
  16. I for one am looking forward to: a. snow that looks like powdered sugar. AND 2. Snow that looks like talcum powder. As a model builder and diorama maker I appreciate these things. AND with people like WIggum to take the heat off me, I can raise my post count by going slightly off topic.
  17. Just real good. So whats wrong with Tang? It was good enough for the astronauts. And whats wrong with Kool aid? Nothing but the fact people are too spoiled drinking their Cokes and Pepsi these days they turn their nose up at Kool aid. When I was a kid, we were lucky if we got one pepsi a week and that was on Saturday night which was "chili night". Now people drink soda pop every day even in europe. Its making everyone SOFT and FAT and.... TENDER...yumm
  18. Some people like Glock . Some people like Sig Sauer . Some people like Hi-Point. Whatever is best to you is the one that is best. Lets hope this thread don't get locked . Would be a shame to lock Christmas bones. Battlefront is in a holy pause right now.
  19. Merry Christmas. Its going to be a cracker
  20. Wow and I was thinking of saying Wiggum picked a fight with the polezei and got a billy club in the ribs. I guess I spared myself a fusillade of scorn.
  21. When Red Thunder came out it was a good two weeks earlier than I predicted. So I am re-calibrating my estimations and this time I will say CMFB will go gold the second week of January. Official release: January 17 !!! woo hoo I can;t wait!
  22. If the campaigns are well done and there is say ,twenty very good scenarios, thats almost worth the money right there. Ever tried making really good scenarios? Its a lot of work.
