  1. I took it to mean he was thinking all the games and the modules in one install considering CMBN is already fully bundled.
  2. Aghast at the sudden volley and horrifying death of his driver, our young forumite rolls out the passenger side careful to keep the vehicle between himself and the crazed bar gunner. Thinking quickly he realizes he needs a distraction. "hey you guys, is the V3 upgrade worth $10?...". As the argument escalates he slowly slinks away.
  3. rotflamo - that is so gruesome hearing that guy screaming at a burning tank
  4. un f**kingbelievable Amazing work, kudos to all involved.
  5. Oh my god, no not this again! Driver reverse , reverse get us out of here!!! What? I don't care what the speed limit says, floor it!!!
  6. you mean like this? https://games.yahoo.com/blogs/plugged-in/russian-news-mistakes-video-game-posters-for-u-s--propaganda-165251917.html
  7. Speak for yourself hippy! Gimme a moment while I put my teeth back in and I'll bite ya!
  8. Was testing a scenario last night. It has a battalion force on my side advancing through woods. So in the midst of moving this pile of troops (as opposed to troops with piles, lots more grumbling there) I take a few rounds from an unknown source. Eventually my guys ID an enemy team and Lo and behold they have a radio. Not wanting to get stonked I immediately start hunting them. Took about 4 turns. I had a marksman team parallel them on the ridge line above and a couple teams to lay down suppressive fire across the intervening stream and another team to act as "beaters". Worked like a charm, the radio guy eventually broke cover to retreat and the marksman took him out. It just blows me away how many things BF has to get right for that to work and between the pixeltruppen movement, tac AI response and the very nicely done map to all come together in something so immersive that moving the battalion was a distraction, I wanted to watch this little side unit action.
  9. Juju's 'The railyard at Pitrovsk' and Panzermike's "Fester Platz Polozk" I rest my case.
  10. yeah, but a good bit of the stuff on the repo is done by the same folks.....and will be designed for 3.0 and yet will not work for you. Your choice, if you don't feel it is worth it, don't buy it. However there will be content specifically designed for it no different than if CMBN had been released at 3.0. Odds are those will be out before CMBS.
  11. well the first scenario that comes out with triggers you'll probably be changing your mind.
  12. A quick wiki look yields some interesting stuff On 8 September 1944 the Red Army began an attack on the Dukla Pass on the Slovak–Polish border. Two months later, the Soviets won the battle and entered Slovakia. The toll was high: 20,000 Red Army soldiers died, plus several thousand Germans, Slovaks and Czechs. Under the pressure of the Soviet Baltic Offensive, the German Army Group North were withdrawn to fight in the sieges of Saaremaa, Courland and Memel. And then of course there is the Balkan offensive. Lots and lots of module material and all still in 1944. oops correction there
  13. Actually Kieme's are the only mod I have in CMSF currently. I haven't gone through since relaoding to add them back in. What you are seeing is more likely the effect of fraps/editing in Picassa/loading to photobucket. Mind loading up a shot of how you see them? Curious just to see if I am getting everything out of my video card that I should.
  14. I think you answered your own question as good as any of us can. How many modules depends on how broad BF wants to get. I would expect if we are to get into axis minors, partisans etc we are headed to at least 2 modules.
  15. There is a valid point there in that engine changes can and have altered some scenarios significantly. There are two issues though. 1- When do you update them? Version 2.0? Version 3.0? Every version update? 2- Who would do that? The same designers that would do the updates are the same designers everyone is expecting more material from. There are already complaints on this board about lack of new campaigns for CMRT, suggestions to pay some mystical group of professional designers etc. The pool of designers that contribute to the BF releases is finite and you can only tap those people so much. Honestly I don't think there is any good answer. Granted not every change is going to necessarily alter the outcome of a scenario, but things like Artillery and MG changes, AT weapons firing from indoors etc can. Some scenarios may get harder, some may get easier.
  16. Always. I haven't gotten CM:STD yet. Or should that be CTD combat transmitted disease?
  17. Yeah the only thing I am not using is the highway option, it looks really bad with the way LLF used highway tiles for MSR Michigan. Everything else looks really really good.
  18. And yet still you don't answer which leads one to believe you are making a mountain of an issue that you aren't facing at all. I have had multiple pbem partners and not had this issue yet. I also don't see anyone raising as much fuss on this as you.
  19. Nope not ignoring them but you didn't answer my question- do you even have one pbem going? That might be relevant to deciding how much difficulty you face in figuring out what content issues you might have.
  20. Actually that sounds more like a design issue. The carriers and the troops they are transporting can be separate AI groups.
  21. your are looking at the install directory of the game, not your my docs folder.
