  1. Hello Gentlemen. Swords or pistols? If pistols you will need to walk 20 paces then wait till my signal to turn and fire.
  2. My cat got all excited too. . . . Messing with my keyboard isn't the same fun as chewing up my favorite +2 leader. She did manage to chew up most of the keys on my old laptop. The cardboard though was nice and soft.
  3. Classic "be careful what you wish for." For coop what might be more interesting is to only be able to see what any of your units could see, but for order issuing you have to have a birds eye view. As wobble very clearly described, without the high level view you are simply incapable of issuing any useful commands. Try watching just the replay locked on to a unit at level 1. Total confusion. Fun to try, but unplayable for sure.
  4. I think you take that slogan "an army of one" just a tad too far. Cue someone to post the pic of that enormous guy with that on his t-shirt.
  5. Well that sucks. I thought you knew. BF has decided to do away with elite level and just implement iron, you should be seeing that in the next beta....
  6. That guy reminds me of some of my leaders in CM. He's examining the snow and branches 3 feet in front of him through those binoculars isn't he? Probably asking his compatriot - who's snow mod is this?
  7. Plan, what plan? There was supposed to be a plan?!! Oh s**t
  8. Maybe you guys are not getting the point of Iron, or maybe you simply still do not like it. What Iron does, and no other level is provide you very clear information on what your unit is aware of relative to your own units. Click on a unit, are the rest of it's platoon showing a "?". yeah you might have a C2 issue. I play exclusively on iron now just for that bit of info. And Temple to Mars is just huge.... I think it has a full US regiment on the map.... in a blizzard. Iron mode probably wasn't real helpful as no one could see s**t and there are a LOT of units
  9. The perils of tank riding. At least no one had to worry about getting an exit row seat. 75 mm ATG says hi!
  10. Hmm this goes a long way towards explaining this damn pissbucket....
  11. As US forces continue to frustrate enemy attempts to close, the militia begins setting up in the high rises with heavy weapons US forces move to the rooftops to clear out militia members and prepare for arrival of the QRF The QRF mounting up The first QRF vehicle approaching Next up Escalation
  12. Unfortunately that doesn't stop the area fire from militia RPGs even if retaliation is swift and usually fatal Another US soldier is downed and two more hit by shattered concrete
  13. Militia units pouring into the compound adjacent to the US positions. But the lack of information regarding US positions and lack of night vision capability not to mention training continues to take a toll
  14. Over a dozen RPGs have been fired on the position so far.
  15. The onslaught increases as additional militia units approach
  16. The RPG storm continues now from two directions despite the danger
  17. Militia technicals arrive providing some heavy long range firepower Unfortunately the Stryker provides superior firepower
  18. The first of the RPGs, an ominous sign of things to come The lifespan of an RPG gunner can be measured in seconds from launch However it does account for the first US casualties, one medevac case and two lightly injured by shrapnel
  19. The US nightvision advantage makes movement by the militia hazardous at best The decision to expand the perimeter pays off as militia units are unsure of the exact location of US positions
  20. Lt Romaniecki orders 1st platoon to dismount and seek cover. Once out of their Strykers he orders the platoon to expand the perimeter by blowing a wall into the compound across the street and occupying positions in two additional buildings. 1st and 3rd squads move out. Meanwhile the clock is ticking, militia units are racing to the sound of the guns
  21. yeah a lot of missions, some likely seeing action, some not. http://www.tsk.tr/ing/4_international_relations/4_1_contribution_of_turkish_armed_forces_to_peace_support_operations/contribution_of_turkish_armed_forces_to_peace_support_operations.htm
  22. actually any, lighting conditions alone could have an impact, hence why you should play in IRON mode!! Yes folks step right up, tired of not being sure about your units C2 state, want to know at a glance who they can see, IRON mode is your answer!!
  23. I know this much -----> . Okay half that, what I do know is the current situation is less than satisfactory. Whether Unity is the answer I have no idea nor do I know what BF is contemplating.
