  1. Yeah that would be something amazing to see if it ever actually occurred. What usually results however is something akin to spam from a Nigerian prince Quiet everyone, the slightest noise and the walnut sized brain is apt to lose it's concentration and another proud moment for his parents will sputter out to the bubbling spittle that usually issues forth.
  2. It says much of House Rune that yon serf has a signature denigrating the CessPool If you can't even get that right it doesn't leave much hope that you could manage to not trip over your own feet as you race barking after ng cavscout in his rusting hulk of a West Virginian redneck's idea of a lawn ornament.
  3. So google-fu for you is web surfing while drunk?
  4. Even on a thoroughbred it is still a horse's a**. A rose by any other name etc etc. except that it isn't a rose. It is that neighborhood blight otherwise referred to as House Rune.
  5. see this is kind of the thing- if you have to work to convince someone this is worth it, it probably isn't for them. This is the kind of game that odds are you are gonna know if it is for you in the first 2 minutes. It's not like saying, hey this FPS is way better then the other umpteen FPS games, or better than the other dozen rts games. There really isn't anything like it and odds are if the whole idea doesn't grab em by the special bits right away, it never will. you can't be all things to all people and there are plenty of gamers out there who are gonna look at CM and go, meh. It just isn't their schtick and that is fine. Pricing is probably not the issue. If BF lowered the price, they might buy it, but odds are they won't play it all that long.
  6. when did he say that? When they created CMSF and CMBS, there were no wars there yet and they are not premised around current conflicts. Besides we all know Steve really wants his Space Lobsters.
  7. See that is why I didn't go get my sandwich made in the East Bay.
  8. Lucky bastard. In downtown SF there are locations where they are literally every half block. I have no idea how that is sustainable. I used to pass 3 of them to walk to the Peet's coffee that was a block from my office
  9. The question as asked by someone earlier jokingly is I think actually true. Maybe the base game itself is under priced. BF is well aware of the amount of labor things take and they price accordingly to make their money back. I don't think they necessarily are 100% on about maximizing their profit. So yes the vehicle pack at $20 might just cover their costs based on expected volume of sale. On the other hand I think they probably could get away with charging another 10-15 for the base game and maybe 5 for their modules so from my view, I got a great deal on the base games and modules and a fair price on the pack. Just a slightly different perspective on what the price differential between packs, modules and base games might mean.
  10. I think we just discovered a CM cluster.
  11. Yep last word was we are still owed a module to go to end of war.
  12. Today in History- The SF Giants win their 3rd World Series in 5 years with one of the most amazing pitching demonstrations... ever!!! Woot!! We now return you to your regular history moments
  13. I hesitate to jump into this because frankly I don't have much experience under my belt to speak from. However I have gotten a lot of guidance from others that do. Uniformly they start with, don't go overboard. My first scenario was a platoon + engagement. I eventually graduated to a company and for MG volunteered for a larger combined arms scenario which frankly terrified me. What I have learned is you first need to get a handle on how the TAC AI works with the AI plan. There are a lot of little things about timing, facing and pathing that you have to understand are going to work totally differently for the AI than they will for a player. You only have a limited number of AI groups and steps. The larger the scenario, the broader a brush you have to paint with. My first scenario, each unit was it's own AI group. I could be very precise in my commands and timing. For any aspiring designer, I think it is a good place to start. Learn how to coordinate your units and how they will move before you start moving to larger groups that are going to increase your variables.
  14. You do understand that walls around the drain sort of defeats the purpose right? Oh wait I guess not considering you had them installed. I was hoping you would not completely shame the position of Bearer of the Exalted Pissbucket or at least respect the shoes you now wear. In that case may I ask the height of the wall? As Squire of the Shavian House I need to know whether waders will suffice or should we order complete scuba outfits. We prefer not to wallow in our own excrement...apparently unlike denizens of House Rune.
  15. Digital download, digital download- start playing today!!!
  16. Oh quite. I absolutely concur with your inestimable vision and profound clarity. I was simply under the impression that the members of House Rune were misspelling the name with their limited vocabulary. I was under the impression they were following the example of, Stuka, who's moniker very clearly characterizes the annoying high pitched whine and terror that he may actually be approaching. I stand corrected... on the name not the fact of their limited vocabulary. How they are ever able to communicate their intent through a series of grunts, whistles and sounds emitted through various bodily orifices is beyond me, though one thinks perhaps they are able to more clearly communicate with Yeknodathon as they seem to share similar mediums.
  17. Let me get this straight, you have 459 games on steam, but the pack variety isn't appealing cause you don't think you will use them??????? *Scratching head*
