  1. Just not enough pork in this barrel to get congressional backing eh?
  2. LOL "Wax them", we need that as a CM audio mod.
  3. Mord uses it all the time.... section 8.
  4. I expect his recovery time will be inversely proportional to how attractive his nurse is. Kohlenklau can you arrange a nurse that looks like Tommy Chong? Maybe we can get him a get well doody cap too.
  5. LOL that is definitely the bland end of weird. When you tell me you have to wear a helmet and play in your military skivvies with socks I wii start to wonder. Game aids to help track things, nah.
  6. I'll be back on the ground tomorrow and would love to take it for a spin. Thanks for the note on the airport map, I didn't know that existed.
  7. A shout out for Studienka! Outstanding scenario. The so called "micro" managing trying to sneak my AT teams through the backyards and gullies is what made that so darn good. Micro managing is not a bad thing, it is a reflection of detail. You don't like it, then maybe cmx2 isn't for you. There are other, lesser games out there.
  8. Lol yeah this is one you have to understand before tackling. You absolutely can not go toe to toe. The point of this scenario was to teach folks how to use the various units, UAVs, precision strikes etc. you can get a total victory, but you have to play it smart and you have to keep your assists involved. Your first goal is to kill the Tunguskas. Get your grey eagle up and hunting first. There are a couple javelin positions in the slopes to your left and right of entry point. They can be difficult to locate initially as it isn't till the Russians are moving that you'll really find the best locations. Your vehicles for the most part are gonna park. Grab all the at weapons you can and disperse them, I have had Hummv drivers grabbing AT 4s. The more the merrier. If the Russians attempt to drive you off with a tank sweep you will want to hammer them with volume. The Bradley's and tow armed Strykers can get some kills but it can be tough getting a good shooting location. If they get spotted by a tank they are dead. I usually tried to position them on the slope to the right to hit the. Russian armor as it left the valley toward the construction site. You get some rear angle shots there. I have even gotten a kill with the tow hummvee when the Russians pulled their sweep. Your main killers though are your arty and air assets. Pay attention to your FOs and how long it takes them to call for fire. You don't want to be waiting 15 minutes for a precision strike. Once you get those Tunguskas get your apaches up and your other air assets.
  9. No flak, but I woulld humbly disagree. That is far too broad a statement. I have seen the tac AI do some pretty incredible stuff (anybody recall a post I did on one HerrProbst?). http://community.battlefront.com/topic/95381-cmbn-screenshot-thread/?p=1296285 And that was in the first version of CMBN. And has seen much refinement. That being said I have also seen it do some dumba** stuff, kinda just like real life.
  10. You really can't. The worst that will happen is they won't work and you'll have to remove them.
  11. The logic is impossible to argue with. I am sure the Cheshire Cat would agree.
  12. Am reading "we were one" now and they do talk about the use of UAVs in the assault on Fallujah, but not in detail. Some of the muj countermeasures like hiding mortars in bunkers can be simulated just by the use of off board arty.
  13. See reply to your other post. You apparently have something wrong in your install, contact the helpdesk.
  14. Yes that is much too serious for the French. He'd prefer to dress as a mime. Maybe a mime with a doody hat?
  15. Honestly the AI is really dependent on the designer. It is not a magic bullet to replacing playing a human, but in the right hands it can do pretty well. On it's it's own it is really dependent on circumstance as there are many things it can't do. It can still be fun, but playing against another human is where you will get a real competitive game. Kind of all depends on what you are looking for. AI on the attack is honestly not going to be that much different. There are a few more options for a designer, but fundamentally it is still just an AI.
  16. Perhaps not, but I am IN Kauai with a bottle of champagne and an assortment of poke in front of me after having spent the morning off the Napali coast. I'll settle for that. Note to self, take off doody cap before snorkeling. It scares the fish.
  17. The OP simply forgot to include IMHO. For some people he is absolutely right. For others he is absolutely wrong. The really cool thing is we have both. CMRT was never going to be a cmx2 upgrade of CMBB. I would agree with the overall direction of JasonC's comments, maybe not all the particulars but enough. The question to the op is well, what is your point? Just to express an opinion? As to CMRT and CMBB and comparisons to the competition, imho there was no real competition to either product so it is kind of a moot point. Personally I really liked/ loved CMBB. But I do far prefer CMRT and have deleted all my cmx1 games. I just can't go back.
  18. Steve. Russia never ever lies. Ever. Did I mention Russia never lies? Ignore those Spetznatz guys, all a Ukrainian psyops campaign.
  19. Thinking anyone NEEDED to hear your rambling was your first mistake, but I do understand House Rune is fascinated by muppets.
