  1. Yes - only flicker if one selected. Yes - I got some strange aeroplane sounds when attempting to continue my PBEM game of Huzzar in 1.10. I assumed that this was a conflict of versions so I just installed a 1.01 copy too.
  2. Probably just a Mac issue and it's very minor. Allied floating icons flicker during replays (even when screen reaches 'done') when one of the icons is selected. 100% repeatable.
  3. Now that's what I call service! Well done guys.
  4. Make sure it's 170x170 24bit Windows Format Bitmap, 72dpi.
  5. As a tribute to the UK's new Eurovision entrant, here is Engelbert singing from the point of view of the CW module: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCZO9xeYA8g "Please release me... let me go.."
  6. Ah - good point. Slightly unintuitive as other radios are in equipment panel but yes indeed - spot on.
  7. Seems to me that the Changelog should be published at the time of the module release. Although I realise that the 4-6 weeks timetable for CW was merely a guideline I am still somewhat surprised that BFC haven't been more forthcoming with information as to the date of release. I don't really know how these things usually work (but considering BFC has taken pre-orders) I imagine it would be good form to keep customers notified as to any delays. Yet, maybe I've missed the point and it's all about building expectation??
  8. I've just experience what I suspect is a radio failure within a halftrack. The communications icon (for the passengers) showing radio contact suddenly disappeared for no apparent reason. I assume that this is a radio failure. Very nice to see this kind of detail included. But... I'm not sure why vehicles don't show a 'radio' icon in their equipment section of the UI? It would make it far easier to know which vehicles are equipped with radios. If they did then the icon could be replaced by a 'broken radio' icon when a radio fails. Perhaps certain radios could also be 'acquired'?
  9. "Hay - how dare you suggest we Mac users are elitist you plebeian fool! Now pass me my golden iPhone and be quick about it or I'll have you flogged!" But really... that is a spurious bit of reasoning. And for that I hope they release the Mac version first!
  10. Thanks. Interesting responses. The smoke particles seen in the image are from the missed 'zook' shots so the target wasn't initially obscured by smoke. Despite being 95m away I believed that it was too risky to move my zook teams into the open ground in front of the boccage in order to take the shot. If I add this result to the statistics from my previous 2 PBEM games as the US, I find that my 'zook' hit% (hit%, not kill%) now sits at about 1 in 30.
  11. 1. Yes they are. Especially at units within buildings, and they can be very effective against infantry. That said, I have found this to be an issue on occasions. I believe they are more likely to fire their 'schreck' rounds at infantry if they are well supplied with AT rockets. 2. This doesn't seem right. Usually the Panzerfaust will be taken by the AT team. If there are several fausts available then they will be more spread out between the teams. 3. Tanks can go through hedges but not boccage. It was probably just a hedge. 4. I tend to agree with you, and I'm not sure how they are currently programmed to behave.
  12. Just for fun - What are my chances of hitting this immobile Panther with a zook? 1. Very Poor 2. Poor 3. Fair 4. Good 5. Excellent (Target is just under 100m away and the zook team is within C2 and of average quality) Actual result: Rounds Fired: 6 On Target: 0
  13. I have only a passing knowledge of WWII history, and I was wondering what on earth would be included in the 'Market Garden' module that isn't already in CMBN once the CW module is released? As far as I can recall Market Garden forces included: Polish paratroopers (CW module?), British paratroopers (CW), XXX Corps (Base + CW), US infantry & engineers (Base), Waffen SS (CW), Hitler Youth (??), Regular German units (CW), Artillery assets for both sides (Base +CW) Am I missing something? Perhaps someone with a better understanding of the operation could enlighten me? Or perhaps the next module will just include new missions and campaigns?
  14. Indeed - plus I can't get the print version to show up.
  15. I wonder if BFC would consider (and if Amazon would allow) a Kindle version of the manuals?
  16. Even when using the magnifying glass icon that appears when you mouse-over the text?
  17. You might find my list of installed mods useful. They are all available at BFC repository.
  18. BFC clearly stated that the CW module would be released between 4 and 6 weeks from the 18th January. I'm sure they will let all their customers (mainly those people who handed over their money for pre-orders) know if there was going any change in this schedule.
  19. He has mentioned that the Macbook Air struggles to play CMBN so I think he is planning on purchasing a PC version of the game once the CW module is released. An expensive but effective solution. A lot cheaper than buying a new Mac though!
  20. Personally, I always use a two-button mouse with my Mac. I agree with Phil - absolutely vital for anything more than casual use of a Mac. But my friend says that his Macbook Air doesn't have USB ports (something I find hard to believe) so he is stuck with the mouse he has for the time being.
  21. That's a nice elegant solution. But, I'm a little surprised that the logic for Cover Arcs in CMx1 isn't transferable to CMx2.
  22. Sigh... please see original post in this thread. Also - for other Mac one-button mouse users the solution is: CMD -CLICK (not CTRL-CLICK, as this moves you around the map)
  23. I know that this would be changing the game mechanics somewhat but perhaps each unit could have a 'Rules of Engagement Setting'? Perhaps a drop-down menu on the UI: Something like this: 1. Fire at will [default] 2. Target armour only 3. Favour armour targets 4. Target infantry only 5. Favour Infantry targets 6. Hold Fire 7. Return Fire only These could work in combination with a standard cover arc.
