  1. Your welcome.. Actually I was not sure I had Vehicle pack toys involved.. I changed some of them because due to balancing. However I think that anyone can enjoy adding in their own to spice it up. Could perhaps change it to a night/evening scenario and add flame units. I wanted to make the map with lots of replay value, so that players in time could add their own units or perameters to enhance the scenario even further. Thanks again for your comments and enjoy.
  2. Just a fictional meeting engagement Scenario I whipped up. Detailed map with some unique features for H2H play. This H2H Scenario was designed to give both opponets many options and replay ability. Both sides consist of overstrengthed Infantry Companies, some Light Recon units and Armor. The briefing covers when and what the reinforcements consist of briefly and when abouts they will arrive. Both sides have primarily equal forces in skill and numbers with one exception that the German player has about 3 less tanks. This was playtested to somewhat equal out the firepower. The object of course is to do the most damage by the end of the Scenario time while minimizing your own losses. The Map is Large and is a H2H battlefield consisting of Bocage, large fields, forested areas, Urban areas, and many roads, paths to manuever from, giving both players room for manuever, ambush, and plotting out strategy from where to defend, or attack from to wreak havoc on the other player. Version is 3.11 and you will need the Market Garden Module and Vehicle pack. You can find it here. http://www.thefewgoodmen.com/tsd3/cm-battles-for-normandy/mortville-and-nuertville/ @ the Scenario Depot III.
  3. Thanks for the info.. will start uploading my scenarios there.
  4. Hello GaJ, I was just about to upload a new H2H mission, and saw that your site was not accepting any new Uploads, as your moving everything. You said something about possibly uploading it before your site was ready. Anyways glad to see new things coming abroad, and always working hard. I have the scenario ready, I will wait for further notice on when and where to upload it. thanks so much GaJ for the work you do. Semper fi. J.
  5. Indeed I have read much, and in short the KT was used in the most illogical ways as in the bulge battle for example. I have read Jentz books, and others and in capable hands and well maintained.. and operating in tank country the KT I am sure would have faired well. But such is war, and some things do not happen as you would think they should. I honestly think by 1944 the creme of the crop of German experienced in mass as far as tank training and skill were few and far between.. not to mention, if you dont control the skies.. you probably will not control the battlefield. This can be said for even modern armies today, if training, logistics waiver, and you do not control the air, you will be at a disadvantage, not to mention trying to win on multiple fronts.. just multiplies problems. JasonC... not to get any blood boiling here.. but I would think the US would outscore the Germans on the western front, as most of the tanks were fighting the Canadians and UK. Anyways if you have more reading material for me that would be great, always looking for more source material.
  6. You misunderstand me. I am talking about Tanks.. I don't need an attitude check.. thanks for your comment. but I think you Assumed I was talking about total numbers of war.. which I was not.. (Although if I was I would have stated it... ) Just talking tanks here Pal. But I wont comment anymore about it on this Post as its getting off topic now.
  7. Well regardless of the article.. and not one to get into which tank is best and all that as well. as clearly people here have their own ideas of what is good and what is not. I think everyone can agree that Germany enjoyed a pretty good Kill ratio though, I mean for the size of the country that it was and not even reaching war time production until 1943. In my Opinion influenced by books from Jentz, the Panther and the King Tiger showed all three aspects of what a tank needed to have to survive. Not saying Russian tanks were bad, they just had enough to keep pushing on. Manpower, definitely a plus, but I think any nation facing two Industrial Super weights and the entirety of the UK and commonwealth will have issues.
  8. Ok great thanks JasonC.. I will let my friend know.
  9. Jason C what would be your opinion on this source. Since the subject is about T-34/76 and 85's. A friend of mine led me to this web page. Although I have a lot of books from Thomas L. Jentz. http://chris-intel-corner.blogspot.com/2012/07/wwii-myths-t-34-best-tank-of-war.html Production and Loss ratio: http://chris-intel-corner.blogspot.gr/2013/01/tank-strength-and-losses-eastern-front.html If anyone can chime in on how accurate this source is would be cool.
  10. Thanks Combatintman... I checked the X86 nothing there.. but when I logged into Shock Force as Administrator, I now can save and delete the games. small little glitch but no harm.
  11. Hello I have version 1.32 if Shock Force with all the additional modules. I recently loaded it up and was playing and wanted to delete some of my saved games. I could not find any saved games in the Shock force saved game file folder.. and then proceeded to look everywhere for them on my system. Cant find them. So how can I delete them? The games are there when I load CMSF, but there are no saved games at all in any folder on my computer or drive.... Twilight zone scenario. thanks for any info and advice if anyone ran into a similar issue. J.
  12. Here is a interesting article on the T-34 that one of my friends shared with me. http://chris-intel-corner.blogspot.gr/2013/01/tank-strength-and-losses-eastern-front.html The Myth of the T-34 all types. http://chris-intel-corner.blogspot.com/2012/07/wwii-myths-t-34-best-tank-of-war.html
  13. Those are badass looking AjarmanG Amazing!, I wish I had the patience to edit my pictures. Ausgezeichnet,!
  14. Thanks Umlaut these mods are great.. Awesome job.
  15. Well I understand what Umlaut was saying. and like many others stated of usually designing things for yourself. I created "Clash of Titans Redux2" because I wanted to pit the Tiger II, vs the JSII. The map got out of hand and just got bigger... details got bigger.. and when I got done and now correctly tested, thought others may want to see many tanks explode... in a challenging way. "Brandenburger Surprise" was my next Scenario, after marathoning the Dirty Dozen, Kelly's Hero's and Force 10 from Navarone... I thought about a couple previous books I had read about the German Special Forces... Brandenburger's. Also in reading the forums I saw many wanting small unit actions. I really do enjoy making Scenarios, even though for the most part they are Hypothetical.. still very fun and will continue to do them. I have two in the works as of now.. one is being play tested for Head to Head only, Feedback is important for me only on how I can do a scenario better, or if it was challenging and fun for the player or players. If I get feed back that's great, if not, oh well, I will still make them because I like doing it.
  16. Yes I apologize for taking a bit of time to redo. I knew the Head to Head play would not change but I wanted to perfect the 2-4 AI advances in their initial attack. I have to admit, once you know how far you can stretch the AI, it makes life much easier. I hope you enjoy the scenario even more, your feedback is always welcome. J.
  17. Ok so I revamped the Scenario Clash of Titans. It now works 100% and has about 3 different AI plans for the Russian Attack. I appreciate everyones patience with the Single player aspect, it was my first large scale massive AI work. Anyways practice makes perfect. Thanks to my friend Jeff, for additional play testing, everything now functions as expected. Its wonderful knowing how far you can stretch the AI. Anyways you can find the revamped version here http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods I hope you enjoy the final version, I think it compliments both JS-2 and King Tiger in their long range lethality capabilites. J.
  18. Freaking awesome stuff Umlaut. I cant wait to start re-playing the Normandy and Market Garden scenarios again.
  19. Sounds interesting, I know for sure they operated in the area in the early stages during Barbarossa and continued until about mid-late 1942. Maikop, Grozny. Adrian von Fölkersam I believe led a lot of the Black sea area missions. He is very renown. The Küstenjäger-Abteilung (Coastal Raiders also conducted a lot of raids along the Black Sea coast) Say KevinKin did you play my scenario, what did you think? Let me know when yours is available, would like to test it out.
  20. Nice, I did find the site from "Spielburger (in Spielburger & Feist “Armor on the Eastern Front”) very useful. It appears that Schürzen indeed does work as intended for the most part. It did mention that the Schürzen was apparently effective from the above source vs Russian 76mm HE rounds as well. Difficult to conduct tests (unlike the old CMBB as you can choose your tanks load out) unless you unleash on bunch of tanks until all you have left is HE rounds. I do have Jentz book on Panthers, I will have to read that again. Great test SLIM, and thanks. Good to know that the Battlefront team thinks of everything pretty much. Semper Fi.
  21. Great thanks Slim. I had been curious for some time if they actually had provided any benefits.
  22. I had a question regarding the spaced armor that "appears" with some German Vehicles. The Pz III, some of the Pz IV's, and some of the StuG's etc. The vehicles look like they have Schürzen armor, but do they actually have any effect in game? I know the armor is effective against HE rounds, supposedly HEAT rounds from Bazookas and AT rifles especially on the East. Spielburger (in Spielburger & Feist “Armor on the Eastern Front”) The Panther had very small side plates which were probably Schürzen. They specifically cover the small gap between the top of the road wheels and the start of the upper hull. Some people have speculated these are glorified mud-guards, etc… However since the lower side hull of the Panther was ONLY 40mm at 0º (vs. the Pz.IV’s 30mm and the Tiger I’s 60mm) the only logical conclusion is that these small side plates were schürzen for the same anti-ATR purpose as the larger plates on the Pz.III & IV. Furthermore the Germans changed the Schürzen used on the Western Front late in the war to wire mesh and similar which suggest a change of purpose, i.e. to protect against light hollow charge weapons. Basically here is the site where I looked at some of this info. http://balagan.info/why-were-schurzen-introduced-in-ww2 Thanks for any comments. I had always wondered if it was just fluff, or they actually provide some kind of defense. J
  23. Yes indeed those things are nasty... its one reason to stay away from infantry if you have no infantry support yourself.
  24. Hello everyone, I have just uploaded a small unit action you may be interested in. Take command of a reinforced Brandenburger Company on a rescue and assault mission. you can find it here http://cmmods.greenasjade.net/mods/user_index?author_id=542 The scenario is designed for infantry combat and objectives include: Rescue POW's Ambush a Vehicle convoy Destroy a Signals building Destroy Warehouses, and a NKVD HQ. (touch objectives) German vs AI only. I hope you enjoy. I know people had been asking for more small unit battles, and devised this for a little infiltration fun. Should give the player some experience in conducting assaults, ambush, and conducting good overwatch. Practice makes perfect right. Let me know if you like it, and I can make some more hypothetical scenarios. Semper Fi J.
