T90s and BMP3s in future module?
Sequoia replied to kipanderson's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
Here's a good thread for those interested. It talks about the "Fictional subsection", that could give us goodies the Syrians don't have. Thread -
Isn't the backstory about a series of dirty bombs exploding across Europe that are traced to the new radical Syrian government? I know it's far-fetched but Sept-11-01 was far fetched too before it happened.

Predictions for Modules: USMC 100% Chance British 75% Chance Germans/Canadians/Dutch (Battlefront said these could be thrown together due to similar equipment) 50% IDF 10% It will really depend on how well sales hold up. -

Alizee is not an unreasonable request. We all want her. -
I bet you'll be the first one to preorder the USMC module.

Is it me or is there no water in CMSF
Sequoia replied to Jaws's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
Hmm, will depict an amphibious assault? I certainly can't claim to have researched all of Steve's posts, but has there ever been anything more definite than: </font> -
Right, how did it happen to you in the game? Was it a flank shot?

Man, I would KILL to have these in game...
Sequoia replied to BlAin's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
Just remember, if you ever plan to make a Cold War game then Finland had StuG III's in inventory longer than any other nation! </font> -

TBlaster. Those are reasonable requests and you may get some of them in future modules. This is an unreasonable request thread! -

I want a working drawbridge across the Euphrartes that if a humvee has enough speed it can make the jump if the bridge is not fully open. I also want patrol boats and scuba divers in the water. Oh and I want the IDF. -
Since you mentioned WW2 i have a guestion. If i have both CMx2: Shock Force and CMx2: East Front installed, is it possible to mix content from those games. I need some uber-tigers to deal with those Abrams! Ability to play WW2 with Syrian maps would also be nice. Also, I am already looking forward to some hard figths beetween space lobsters and US marines. </font>

sorry if this has been beatto death but?
Sequoia replied to Freeboy's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
I'm sure no one, even at Battlefront, knows yet, but that's not a bad guess. Steiner, I'm sure we'll get the Waffen SS but maybe not in the initial release, but as Kwazy Dog said, it's still too early to say. Hopefully Paradox will not want them called the Waffengrenadier again. If so, I'm sure a mod can change that Sirocco, I think that's a little too detailed. The game is supposed to cover the entire Normandy campaign I understand. I think that will include everything through Falise at least, which as I'm sure you know included many other divisions, and let's not forget the Airborne! -

Sequoia replied to Freeboy's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
That the Waffen SS will not be included in the initial WWII release is a supposition on my part and not confirmed by Battlefront, but I think it is a reasonable supposition based on the analogy of what we'll be getting in CMSF. Along with the USMC module, the plan is we'll be getting some additional Syrian units such as airborne. I do think, however, if we don't get the Waffen SS right away, they'll be included along with the Commonwealth. Most likely they haven't finalised plans for the releases themselves yet. Battlefront has indicated they will no longer take a "Kitchen Sink" approach to their releases as they did with CMBB. -

Sequoia replied to Freeboy's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
WWII will be a seperate stand alone game series. In fact WWII will be broken down into various campaigns each of which will be stand alone, the only one of which that has been confirmed so far is France summer '44 with the basic game starting with US Army vs the Wehrmacht and an additional module introducing the Commenwealth forces. -
There once was planned an "ahistoric subsection" for the Red forces that would include vehicles not in the Syrian inventory. I wonder if this is still in the works?
-
I want peddler's booths! Maybe we'll get more stuff in the modules.

Sequoia replied to Madmatt's topic in Modern Naval Battles - WWII At Sea
Since Dan Verssen is now officialy working on Hornet Leader has MNB been sunk or only in dry dock? -
A camouflage thread is bound to attract Steve’s attention. I'd expect an answer soon.

We need to get Andrew TF back for Uniform mods. I think they'll give us some some Modding tools in the not too distant future.

Isn't it a full moon Friday night? You're waiting till the moon is directly overhead as the most auspicious moment to release the game. Your name gives it all away!

Ouch. Tom Chick holds forth on CM:SF

Why do you say he is reviewing an early build? The build he and I played is the same as the gold master version sent to Paradox. </font> -
