  1. I'm not from Battlefront so you'll have to trust me with my answers, all of which, however, are as I remember them coming from a Battlefront source. 1, Yes. 2, No the manual you get when you order directly from Battlefront is bigger. 3, I Don't know. 4, After the USMC, were likely to see the British Army. After that possibly a NATO module with the Germans, Canadians and possibly the Dutch. They haven't decided on the cost of the modules yet but it will be less than the stand alone initial game. 5, No Skin Mods yet from any one. There are some new scenarios available at CMMODS and any new skin mods will be appearing there when available. Modders are waiting on some tools from Battlefront.
  2. Hey with the WWII game Hitler could do his Astrology forecast!
  3. I don't have the game yet. What time of year is the invasion taking place?
  4. Nope, in CMBB some of the Soviet troops with high collars use different bmps for faces but that's it, everyone else shares faces.
  5. At least you're not saying it's not a Bradley because it has the wrong number of trackpads as one fellow did regarding a tank in Theatre of War.
  6. Since the British Module and the WWII game are planned to be coming out within a couple months of each other (hopefully about a year from now), perhaps they'll have the mortar as the coding will have to be done for the WWII game anyway.
  7. Just to show I didn't make it up, one can read Steve's comments regarding Special Forces in this thread.
  8. My Great Uncle, who served on the Eastern Front called them Panzer 4's, but he was just a cook. He called T-34's T-34's too. Yes I'm serious.
  9. Both sides use the same faces, so both sides would be camouflaged. That's why no one has ever done a "race" mod for C.M.
  10. Nothing too elaborate; we already see some of this in the ability of Syrian spies and unconventionals to evade sighting, for instance. I can imagine western SpecOps units that receive similar stealth characteristics--not because they blend into the neighborhood, but because of, well, stealth. This would add some spice to the usual run of missions. It's not nearly as important as adding to the broader base of vehicles and national armies, however. </font>
  11. Be careful how you ask for it. In a fit of spite at all the negative comments, I could see BF create some crashed aircraft on map and tell you -- "There, there is your Red air power" while you look at a smoking hulk of a SU-25 in the middle of the desert. Regards, Feltan </font>
  12. Well, you learn something every day. I thought since most Moslems despise dogs they'd be rare. Hey maybe Kwazydog can add them as a flavor object!
  13. I think it would be hard to refuse such an earnest request. Besides, I doubt they'd be doing it with a company of Strykers rolling into town. By the way, aren't dogs rare in Moslem countries?
  14. If it were the first game by Battlefront they'd never have signed a deal with Paradox forcing them to release it prematurely.
  15. That price seems fair. It certainly shouldn't be as much as a new stand alone game.
  16. I wonder if you could expand on this? (Hey, SOMEONE'S gonna ask(!)) This is what I'm still curious about; the Module comes out - it is an "add-on" for the Title of Shock-Force, yes - meaning that it does just that - complements Shock Force by adding more kit. So that it would be possible to create a scenario or campaign with US Army, USMC, Syrian Army, Syrian Uncon, Syrian SF, and Syrian Airborne forces all represented in any combination? You don't have to pick one force set or another? </font>
  17. I'm guessing players will find quite a few differences between the USMC TO&E and Stryker or Bradley infantry. For example aren't Marine squads bigger? How do support troops differ, e.g what's the difference in sniper teams? I don't know and would appreciate someone knowledgeable to elaborate.
  18. We should get the USMC To&E with M-1's and Humvees again and, as Rollstoy noted, the AAV-7 and at least the LAV-25. Not sure exactly what else. Steve once mentioned we'll have an assortment of trucks before the series is over. For the Syrian side we might get Syrian airborne troops (they're not in the game yet right) as well as some "non-historic" vehicles such as the T-80. Don't expect water or amphibious operations or on map helicopters. We might get new building types too.
  19. Yes France and Britain should have stood up to Germany earlier in both World Wars like the U.S. did!
  20. The only way I see this happening is if Curt Schilling's Advanced Squad Leader interests have crossed over to Combat Mission and he decides to fund it. It would take a sugar daddy with his kind of bucks to finance it cause Battlefront won't do it on their own.
  21. it is right. if there werea conflict , counters the stability of the world , the France would be to bring its assisance. is CMSF a play thus why not to put France inside , for a political reason ? </font>
  22. Throw in Alizee too. She's a board favorite. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBIm_vrVAfQ
  23. I think to a large degree the modules are being determined by sales potential. The U.S. is obviously Battlefronts biggest customer. The U.K. customers are the next we were once told. The potential Dutch/German/Canadian module covers alot of ground and sales using a lot of the same equipment. The French would entail a whole new set of vehicles and the work to go with it and I don't think French sales were ever strong. My only surprise is that there won't be a Finnish Module.
  24. It's old but you can read Steve's comment in this thread. Special Forces.
  25. So what do you all expect the additional vehicles the USMC will have besides the AAV-7 and LAV-25?
