Andrew TF mods anyone?
David I replied to phil stanbridge's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Phil, At CMMODS go to CMBB Search. Search for 251/9. Scroll down the list until you get to PAT251SUPPORTGP by Pat. He renumbered Andrew's SPW 251/9 and 16 for CMBB. DavidI -

David I replied to David I's topic in Combat Mission: Afrika Korps
Philippe, I agree with your uniform statement. Unfortunately you can't do overcoats within the hard coded figures. I really like, and use AndrewTF's (who else?) US infantry winter mod. The "jumpers" your friend describes could well be the German reversable winter jacket white to splinter/water tan/SS pattern depending on issue. White has a tendency toward getting dirty very quick and turning a smugy grey, brown or even yellow if you are living in foxholes/trenches or bunkers with fires for heat. I also think that most of those went to the Eastern Front. I can only hope that in CMX2 that when they do the Winter of '44/45, at least in the West, that they will do overcoats for all the non-AFV crew type infantry, knowing however that that might be a bitch to make them look right. John, I did a first blush at trying to put the snow covered Shermans over MikeyD's state of the art Shermans, but they looked like ****. However, doing the German snow covered stuff has given me some ideas. But white sheets...I don't think so. DavidI -

Painfbat, That is TomCMHQ's Bulge mod and is available at his website, it also comes with my CMETO ubermod. DavidI -
Something Patboy wrote when I put out my Bulge tanks rang true. During the Battle of the Bulge the German vehicles had yet to be winter cammoflaged. So... Here are the most likely Panthers and Panzer IV's you'll run into done with snow over my favorite modder's tanks, etc. Here's the Panther G: And the Panzer IV J: Most are done with Gordon Molek's snow textures modded to fit Gurra's or MikeyD's mods. Most come with some alternates (shields, tracks on turrents, etc.). Stugs and Assault Guns are done and will be up shortly. Oh yeah, Happy Easter to you all. Enjoy, DavidI

"Nazi Fan Boy" Scenarios
David I replied to Billy Prior's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
JasonC, While I usually agree with your historical analysis, what about the Cherokee? They assimulated, learned to speak English, wore western clothes, accepted Christianity, published their own newspapers, sent lobbiest to Congress and..... got ****ed for their efforts the moment white people wanted their land. As usual it's not all black and white in History-Land. DavidI "Theres a line of Indians leaving Rancho Malario, Making Room for YOU! Here's the beautiful "Trail of Tears Golf Course!"* *Firesign Theater -
Cool, a tree debate! Next thing you know there will be a "Pine Tree Fan Boy" charge launched. Really, I thought the main difference was that you could see futher into or through pines than into or through woods. DavidI

"Nazi Fan Boy" Scenarios
David I replied to Billy Prior's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Gee, and I thought that their uniforms just looked keen. DavidI -
I would be content with December, January, Febuary with snowy trees. But again, I know they will not do it. DavidI
-
Dey & Patboy, Seriously, I have watched Dey's mods become better and better with each effort, if he could turn out Panther A's and G's that look as good as his recent Pz IV H's etc. I would be in mod-slut heaven. I've tried and mine look like ****. David

"Nazi Fan Boy" Scenarios
David I replied to Billy Prior's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
I will at least play, at least once, any scenario with any army, German, Italian, Romanian, Hungarian, Finnish (love their tank busting toothpicks), Russian, Polish or Partisan. Does this make me a "fan boy" of every country? Wait a minute - I think it does. I would love to travel to any one, or all of them. DavidI PS. I want to see a horror movie, with lots of killing. But no chainsaws! I would like some guidence and I anticipate your reponses. DI -
Even scenarios set in January with light snow on ground, but no falling snow, have green trees. I know there is nothing that will be done about this, but I thought I would bitch anyway. DavidI
-
Dey, Keep them coming! About those Panthers.... DavidI
-
Light snow ground cover, light snow coming down, yet no snow in the trees? What's up with that? DavidI

Painfbat, That's AndrewTF's (The Great & Powerful) Heer winter mod (CMMOD's on the CMBB side as I recall). Mod includes white, splinter and water pattern camo. I wonder whatever happened to that splinter 4 pocket he was talking about doing. David
