  4. Do you mean that 1/3 of the shells, fire missions(if thats a unit) or pounds of shell? If its 1/3 for the shells fired wouldent that mean that heavy arty spent almost all of the HE stuff?

I think to give orders more than once every minute is unrealistically micro managing. If the setting was modern than you could have a huge amount of casualties in one minute, but i think that is just something you would have to plan for and try to avoid. I dont think that in the turn your abram comes across a convoy of stuff you should tell it what to shoot as he does it. He should just bast away at whatever the very smart tacAI decides. Thats my 2 cents

I need someone to explain this or my head will explode from it driving me too crazy.
  11. oh sorry, didnt mean to leave it unclear. yes, it was firing down from the second story of the building onto a PZIV that was right up against it.
  12. when doing a test in response to questions about top penetrations i had a russian ATR firing straight down at a PZIV. I let it fire until it ran out of ammo. Some how it didnt get any kills. any explinations? I dont see how 75 penetrations wouldent kill someone in a tank.
  13. I thought the two story buildings were actually more like 3 or 4 in engine? Don't know if i read this or made it up.
  14. I just tested it out in cmbb with an anti tank rifle, the 12. something mm heavy machine gun and the maxim all shooting at a Panzer IVG. Both the machine guns targeted the tank via the next target button, meaning they thought it was a good target, but they didnt get any kills withh all there ammo. The anti tank rifle worked strangely. It got the top penetration with almost every shot, but some how in 75 rounds it killed only one guy. To make matters weirder it didnt get the credit at the end of the game for the kill. Can anyone explain?

OK i guess it was a silly request, but figured id be able to see what the proper advance looked like just as well from the test as the game you played earlyer but didn't save untill after advancing was over. With your second description i think i have a good enough Idea what it should look like.

  18. Are the good mods just generally better than the way it ships or is it just if you want a change?
  19. How much more, less responsive, arty do you think we should be able to buy? I am no historian but have always felt it was way to scarce/expensive.
  20. thanks. In respect to buying i have been mostly doing what you recommend, but usual forget to buy unexperienced spotters for map fire. Is there any difference in preformence between green and conscript when doing preplanned? Do you ever use the target wide command for preplanned bombardments and with what guns is it useful?
  21. JasonC, I think i rembember reading a thread where you recomended nothing less than 170mm arty for attacking and 150 for defense. I was woundering if you recomend that even with the extra you pay because of rarity on QBs? Thanks for all of the great posts you do.
