CMBO, CMBB, and CMAK Unit Database Charts
junk2drive replied to Wolfe's topic in Combat Mission - Tips and Tricks
I found an error at the CMAKdb that may interest you. The db shows French truck is Brit until Nov 42 and USA from Dec 42. The French in CMAK get the Brit truck through NA until May 43. The do not reappear in CMAK until Dec 43 and then they get the USA truck. The Brit truck has a speed of 35mph The USA truck is 45mph That is the easiest way to tell which truck is used while in the purchase screen. On another subject, I cannot find any Axis Crete charts. Not important, but was there any made? -

The Steepe Grass mod contains: Mod File : STEPPEGRASS.ZIP 226.12 KBytes BMP Files Attached: OSF_2250.BMP OSF_2251.BMP I extracted the bmps, removed the OSF_ and added them into the zip. McMMM ignores the extras. -
Retail Store release of CMAK?
junk2drive replied to frtylicks's topic in Combat Mission: Afrika Korps
That means that the download version will not require a CD in the drive. Any hope for the rest of us that bought the CD(s)? -

I had to load a CMBB battle to see all the mods. Great. Water and rocks especially nice. Any reason for not doing all the marsh tiles? -
What's wrong with this picture?

You got a Brit portrait and a Brit tanker. That's a good thing. -
There is new hope. I just found this freeware Paint.Net http://www.eecs.wsu.edu/paint.net/ "Paint.NET is image and photo manipulation software designed to be used on computers that run Windows XP or 2000. Paint.NET is jointly developed at Washington State University with additional help from Microsoft, and is meant to be a free replacement for the MS Paint software that comes with all Windows operating systems. The programming language used to create Paint.NET is C#, with GDI+ extensions. Paint.NET has many of the powerful features that expensive commercial applications have, including the ability to use layers. This is the second semester that Paint.NET has been a project at Washington State University, and we have the goal of adding as much functionality as expensive commercial applications provide, but of course, for free! In the spirit of all this freedom, we welcome any suggestions, as well as provide the source code free of charge for anyone who wishes to tinker with it. Please explore this website, download the software and try out many of the things you would do on those expensive commercial applications. " I tried it with a gun shield and a camo bmp, adding a layer. I did it. That is something I could not do with PSP.

Minefields of the Eastern Front WIP
junk2drive replied to Philippe's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Nice variation. I am using your wooden English version for all my CMAKs. For 1940 I am playing Axis and was looking at Andrew's. These are similar, but I like that worn look. -
I still have that CMAK cpu test battle if you need a copy. Search for cpu test should pull up that thread. Let's benchmark CPUs thread

"1GB of Kingston PC3200 HyperX RAM." Just curious, is that 2 x 512? If so, is it dual channel?

Splashscreen mod
junk2drive replied to Strontium Dog's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Gautrek has 3 at cmmods for CMAK and IIRC there are more by other people. Splash screens are very easy to make from photos on the internet. The buttons and text require programs and skills. -

"Maybe the abbey / castle textures are nice to build Monte Cassino with? Probably there are already mods for it. Nevermind " No factory in CMAK, but the bmp might work on the flat top buildings in Afrika. I have been wanting a light colour dirt road for Korea. I may rework the "paved" road for that purpose. I use the OSF rock for Korea. -
I think you are making Trivial Pursuit - Grog Edition

I loaded into my CMAK AIW the OSF pavement, roads, wall and rubble. The CMAK desert uses mostly yellow rock theme. Comments for CMAK ONLY Roads paved, too yellow, edges are for OSF. Roads dirt, good colour, found some pinks on one curved section. Wall, oops, needs renumbered for desert in CMAK. Looks a lot like stock CMAK wall. Rubble, GREAT, looks like desert rock and roadblock is very good. Pavement, great job, colour match is difficult, I tried it with OSF roads and Juju's cobblestone. I won't give up on this one. Overall mod Might work well in CMAK Crete for Greece. -
Spanish Civil War (SCW) update

There is at cmmods in CMBB a mod by Jakor for Spanish volunteers in the German Army. It includes, I believe, Spanish flags for Axis. -

Are the older mods dated today any different than the ones uploaded before? What is meant by the compressed graphics? -

I got them all. Thanks for sharing. I will let you know how they work on CMAK. -
From the Fading Hopes mod for CMBO Other info and screenies at wargamer.com cmworld. Looks like I will have to try and morph these into CMAK.

Axis History Forum under What Ifs I found interesting. Thanks for the offer Murphus.

Based on this side shot of a Souma S-35 I modded Gordon Molek's Crusader II that Hans' uses for Souma's in his scenarios. I need someone (Patboy?) to camo this in brown and green. Maybe change the color to ochre or mustard.
