  1. Marine tanks awaiting withdrawal orders from Koto-Ri Chosin Reservoir Korea Is there a star option for the right side turret bmp?
  2. Overcast so it is a little dark, Andrew's Soviet whites with USA straps and belts. Korea [ January 03, 2005, 09:13 PM: Message edited by: junk2drive ]
  3. JMHO just as the German greens and greys faded and sometimes turned brown as the war went on, the GI greens got faded and stained. Andrew's BO unis are just what I prefer. The AK green ones look just out of boot camp. Another thought is how many historical CMAK or NW Europe battles were in deep snow? Most of the Dec 44 scenarios at TSD are wet, mud or light snow.
  4. Looking in my Korea files, I had starting making a set from Andrew's Soviet white reds smocks with USA necks and straps. I couldn't find enough photos of troops in white to justify the project.
  5. Tooz, Andrew's CMBO set that I renumbered for AK looks good to me, down and dirty. The winter set has nice gloves and neck scarves. One of my first mod atempts is Dave Molinario's, IIRC, USA whites at cmmods but I never renumbered them to winter. I made a set of whites from MikeT's winter Finns but they aren't good enough to share. At my website is my start screen with a pic of GIs riding a tank in whites. Andrew's anorak coats are nice but are they warm enough for the Ardennes? For winter greens look at my Korea set made from Andrew's USA set 3.
  6. We are glad that people like you spend your time doing what I don't have the talent for. I hope you enjoy it as a hobby.

  8. The trick now is finding a scenario that uses them in the snow. SPOILER * * * * * * * * Try CSDT ST Vith for the Wespe.

  10. Alexoscar you need David's winter crew mods before their hands freeze. Looking good.
  11. For those familiar with renumbering bmps The Last Defense website has some old CMBO mods. The page link is Ed Kinney's (Tanks A Lot) large high res winter buildings. I figured out which ones are tall light and tall heavy, and numbered them for AK. There are not enough for all the AK sets so I did the same with a similar PZ building from CMHQ. With the winter church and Ed's latest Normandy smalls, it makes a very nice setting in the snow. No damaged versions, so first I copied all my CMBB buildings into my AK bmp folder, then overwrite with what I have.
  12. To the right of your name is a picture of a pencil and paper.
  13. It works now, thanks for the mod. Are you resizing the bmps from BO? Most BO AFVs are composed of different size or views than AK. I noticed the letters on the rear panel are strange. I hope you do more, but test them well before uploading.
  14. You have it numbered for summer. 16xxx should be 66xxx for winter.
  15. The games come with winter terrain but do not come with any winter mods for uniforms or AFVs. You can unzip directly to the bmp folder. I advise you to get and learn McMMM mod manager. Generally speaking mods do not interchange between BO BB and AK. Sometimes they do. If you unzip into your AK bmp folder a white washed AFV and later find a snow covered tri color camo, you will have to overwrite the 1st with the 2nd or use the mod manager to swap back and forth. Andrew Fox is the only one doing uniform mods these days. His CMBB Winter Heer should work in AK. It has the options of whites and splinter camo. McMMM will seperate the options for you. You then select the one to install. You should check and uninstall one before the other. Whites are nice but if it is cold and light snow the trees will be bare and the pines green. I wouldn't want to be standing in front of green pine trees or in a city fight in a white smock. to me it depends on the battle and the surroundings. Same with whitewash.
  16. I agree with Tooz Thanks for the mods Alexoscar.
  17. That worked for me, thanks Marcus and Wicky. With this and Ed's new buildings I now will try CSDT St Vith V4.
  18. A good job on the snowy Wespe and does the Grille as well. Problem is, I had a ww mod installed, probably Andrew Fox for CMBB? BO? and my turret and shield are white. I could delete the ww bmps and the game will use the default bmps. Alexoscar, any chance you would snow on these pieces?
  19. As Allies, second battle setup, I get foxholes. But it is an Allied attack.
  20. I have a PC with a Radeon 7000 64mb DDR agp card. Viewing the battlefield, scrolling across, can be jerky and slow on big maps with a lot of craters, or rain/snow. Calculation time for the green and blue bars is your CPU. Ram and video card memory only help to a point.
  21. A new battle at TSD AIW Rafah Gaza Strip 1956 A new year mod at CMMODS AIW Brit for USA tan uniforms. Wargaming ideas from Steven Thomas' website
  22. Zimorodok did a ww carrier for Romania in CMBB. Whitewashed Malaxa Carrier Renumber for Brit IIRC. Wicky did a snowy Daimler and Humber for CMBO.
