  1. I'm only 4 hours away. I think this might be doable. Gonna have to be an amphibious trip if the rains don't back off some. I bet you thought that puddle in town wasn't really a lake. Oh, we would have it on 6th St., right?
  2. You only get 1 precision round/tube per battle, so only the 1st round out of each tube was precision, if that was what you targeted 1st. 50% accuracy isn't too bad for mortars.
  3. At a guess, since your main gun is not out of ammo, and the tank is not suffering suppression, perhaps the TC has a spot but maybe the gunner cannot get one through the bushes immediately in front of said tank.
  4. Zebbe' HUGE difference between playing real time and turn based. Your original post did not differentiate, but it sounds like you might be playing real time. That alone can be a deal breaker in big battles. Too much info to process on the fly.
  5. The downloadable demo shows to be v1.02. At least that's what the download link says.
  6. The online manual that came with the download is v3.01, although I admit I have not checked for differences between it and what I got with Red Thunder.
  7. I did not order when it went live, so that makes sense that my domestic shipped later.
  8. I'm in Texas and I got my shipment notification about an hour ago.
  9. I cannot access the link you posted, but I can certainly stand corrected if I an wrong. Ok, I do stand corrected. I neglected to look in the editor, in either family. Both can have it. That feature would be useful in QB's.
  10. I believe you are correct. It wasn't in the CMx1 family either.
  11. I looked at 1 CMBN battle that featured the SS. CW My Honor is Loyalty. There were more PF's than I could count almost, but there was a a total of 1 PF available in 1 251/1 Ausf D. Every other one was carried by the infantry component when they are mounted.
  12. I show a count of 12 available for the start of the campaign, none of which are in the SPW's. I don't have a count pre-patch and I don't know what comes along as reinforcements. Haven't fought this one. 1 squad had 3, most have none or 1.
  13. Yes they are there. Win 7 (x 64) i7-3930 3.20 16 gb ram Nvidia GTX 690 CMBS 1.01
  14. The Besarabian nights series has a nice variety of non standard setups.
  15. I looked at probably 15 random maps in the editor Doug, and the vast majority had an red set up of 6 AS deep across the bottom of the map. Blue was huge. There are some in there that aren't, but a good bit seem to be. I'm not on a Mac.
  16. Not a Mac guy but does your install have a desktop shortcut? Can you figure out what the default directory and executable are from there? That is one thing that woks well in windoze, at least for me.
  17. First off, are you up to date on the 3.0 game engine? That is the first thing you need to have in place. You would not be able to use any of the British vehicles. There are quite a few. As far as the German and French, I'm not so sure. Maybe on the Germans but probably no to the French. Until someone posts a more definitive answer, Have you looked at http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=333&Itemid=575 to see what it comes with?
  18. You will see a marked improvement in your game play experience. Plus once you become proficient at wego and you have an idea of what the overall way that the game units interface in game terms, you may find it is not as difficult to play real time. And the absolute most important thing that really befuddled me at first was visibility. I couldn't tell jack diddly squat about what was happening. Then I figured out that toggling the full tree foliage off at certain times helped immeasurably. Often times, it's the simple things that make the biggest difference. Don't be too disappointed if you do not succeed right away. The learning curve is fairly steep on this game. When I started Gaj told me it took him double digit games to start getting a feel for the mechanics and all of the little tricks that will make the difference between winning and just surviving. And I find it very true. And most of us had less than stellar outings the first up against an opponent who thinks back. Once you go H2H though, it's just not the same playing against the AI.
  19. I'm not Bil, but to me, it sounds like you are fighting the games in Real Time. If you are, and I believe it is the out-of-the-box default setting, try playing the game in wego mode instead. Turn based makes it a lot easier to get your head around all of the things that are happening at once.
  20. Yes, when the uav gets whacked, it crashes and usually at the map edge. It might always be at the map edge. If you get chased by a SAM at night, pan upwards with the camera and you get a nice view of the contrail/exhaust plume and a bottle rocket boom at the apex.
  21. 7 hours, double digit download attempts through multiple browsers and I finally got it to work with Chrome. Got maybe 1.5 mb/s towards the end.
  22. I don't think you will see holes as big as some of the stuff from WW2. Even those you have to look for closely sometimes.
  23. Like I said, just guessing. I would think BF probably would make more profit if all they did was digital but it's their business to run, however they want. I can also understand that people who live where prohibitive postal costs and import fees are imposed are at a disadvantage. I am happy that I have the option to do either.
