  1. Macisle, man, that's one good looking map!
  2. Absolutely agree. And this is indeed a very informative book.
  3. Imagine what kind of impact the JS-III would have had when the war would have dragged on.
  4. It is number 28. Very nice atmosphere. Well done. Thanks for sharing them.
  5. Thanks, I will check that one out. Always a delight to discover new maps.
  6. I love the map as shown on the screenshot, Freyberg. Looks like it's coming straight out the movie Gladiator. Can you tell me which one that is?
  7. Another impressive and not entirely unsuccessful vehicle, but not worth the money and resources. German tank development and production during ww2 was quite disastrous and chaotic, same as the aircraft development and production. Way too many ludicrous projects. They should have concentrated on Pz III/IV until 1943 and after that on Pz IV/V. And as many StuGs and Marders as they could build. No Jurassic Park projects like the Tiger II, Jagdtiger or Elefant. After 1944 the Jagdpanther would have been the best answer on the JS-tank.
  8. I agree. The same goes for the Panther tank. It would have been wise to at least wait for another half year before sending it to the front. But I also think the Tiger II, which in fact was a super Panther, was far from successful. I once read that for every Tiger II two Panthers could have been produced. Far better value for the money. I also don't like the Jagdtiger. Waste of money and resources.
  9. I also remember that this tragedy was quite a blow to the morale of the unit involved. I will find it, but I have way too many books, that's the problem. Can't sometimes even find a book, let alone certain information in it. A very strange case of friendly fire, but war is chaos. Always was and always will be.
  10. Not making this up, if that's what you're suggesting. I'm sure other forum members know about this incident. Might have been Panthers though. Checking one of my books by Axel Urbanke now.
  11. I once read how a Tiger II finished off an immobile Tiger II that had to be left behind on the battlefield, hitting it caused the gun of the immobile tank to fire, it hit the Tiger II and killed the whole crew. Now that's what I call bad luck.
  12. Very handy. Was looking for this today actually. Thanks, Phil!
  13. Yeah, looking at it right now. Looks like a good movie. Thanks!
  14. Strange, still for free in the Netherlands with Amazon prime.
  15. I will consider your suggestion carefully, my friend. But modding is beyond my skills, I fear.
  16. Beloved members of this great forum! Can someone tell me in which BRZ-file I can find the uniforms and helmets of the Waffen-SS, so I can explode them?
  17. It sure does. Very happy with those nice maps by Bornginger.
  18. Imagine fighting battles with a mix of British and Dutch units, or German and Dutch, or Belgian and Dutch, or German and British, or German and US... Brothers in arms at last.
