This MUST be fixed in CMx2
Bartokomus replied to c3k's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
I agree; a simple solution that would make a big difference. the only reason it's usable now is because we're used to it, and most people start to know the rarity factor of their vehicles... -
Quick Battles and "House Rule" for Rarity
Bartokomus replied to kenfedoroff's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
me like; the only question i would have is what is the rarity on Mr. Tiger in July? Other than that, i like the ruleset. simple and easy -
Get CMBB; right out of the box it's a more mature game, with the patching sequence done. ANd the variety and breadth of units is astounding. CMAK is great and I am loving it, but their is an intensity to CMBB that i haven't gotten out of the desert yet... either way you will be totally pleased, i am confident.

Operation Störfang (v2) In Development
Bartokomus replied to eichenbaum's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Snip: However, Druk ist auf dem Kessel. We're giving all we can to get this done as soon as possible. I'm aware that there're a lot of CM players are waiting and the pressure hasn't decreased since the release of CMAK. ------------ It's better to have something well done at the right time, than something horrendous and half-baked. i think all of us are waitintg happily for your Campaign system. Do it right and we'll wait! Murray -

Tigers vs. Bears...who/what/when???
Bartokomus replied to HarryInk's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
i started out as part of the Bears vs Tigers group; what started out as a mini-meta campaign within the Blitzkrieg wargaming club morphed into the Bears vs Tigers. There were two fellas behind it who worked very hard, and obviously did very thorough and thougtful work. the problem was the sheer size of the responsibilities; every night you were looking at an hour of paperwork or so. and it was confusing paperwork too. hopefully they can bring it back to life a bit trimmer... edit: didn't answer the question. Bears vs Tigers is a team based campaign which uses CMBB to resolve battles on each individual tile. forces are assigned initial position on a map and then maneuvered around; artillery, air interdiction, resupply, etc. are modeled, so that when forces meet they may be depleted in terms of supplies or casualties. Bartokomus replied to Maastrictian's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
not quite on-topic (but close): i just read a fantastic article of a PTR infantryman who knocked out a Stug or Jagdpanzer/IV by hitting it broadside on it's external ammo storage. give it a read Russian Battlefield -
--== Operation Störfang ==--
Bartokomus replied to eichenbaum's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
i'm 20 turns into the second Op (B1) and things are a tad grim. The Russian Armor did a good mauling of two of my AFV's, and the freaki' Romainians are bogged down from the get go. this is a very well done and enjoyable idea. thank you Murray
