  1. You should stick by the principal of your sig line.
  2. Its best that you do not meddle in things that are beyond understanding. Just rest assured when you pop back in three years hence Peng will still be here.
  3. You know quite well I am referring to teams that play for pay. I thumb my nose at these local High Scool teams that you mention.
  4. Don't be flip....there are two teams from the lovely state of Ohio, now what's their names again?
  5. Go Big Blue!!!!! C'mon Joe you know you do. Oh wait, is your team out of it?
  6. do we respond to this Chatterbox thing, or do we ignore it as we do Joe?
  7. Just send me a private message for my email address. Is that OK
  8. Leave it to Joe to remind us of the rules. Despite his many other shortcomings, seeing to the maintainance of consistent behavior in the MBT isnt one of them. Has Gaylord reached manhood as of yet?
  9. I've got one....sent you a private message if you're interested.
  10. I was referring to Combat Mission when I talked about construction, I probably should have been more specific. You are right however, any type of structure can be renovated into a strong point regardless of its construction materials, given adequate time and materials.
  11. We are talking defensive positions in buildings in these last few posts, correct? If your unit is advancing through buildings in order to take an objective much farther along, a soldiers use of the building for cover and concealment will be quite different, and one may expose themselves to fire from adjacent buildings or rooms in the same building that might have been avoided by using the methods described by JasonC. Building construction is probably the biggest factor in survivability, i.e. stone vs. wood.
  12. AT guns are sitting ducks for artillery and mortars once they are spotted. You have to site them in the best places you can find on the map to keep them safe for as long as possible. Sandbagged trenches dont off much protection from Arty IMO, and dragging around 75mm pieces from place to place is not really an option. Forget moving 88s. If you manage to get a few infantry kills and maybe a tank with a gun before its blasted, consider yourself very fortunate.
  13. In America fans identify rabidly with their sports teams, therefore using "we" is wholly appropriate. You saw fan participation at a baseball game yourself, remember? You have obviously been in the desert sun for too long you Aussie git.
  14. Good thing Newman didnt start singing a song about Dresden, knowing his style, and knowing the German's stereotypical lack of a sense of humor.
  15. Not a lot of activity here, good thing I'M BACK. cavscout is ceretainly a hero in my book. Glad to know that he is OK. Happy Veteran's Day to all Vets, belated Birthday wishes to all Jarheads among us.
  16. Does everyone realize that it is going TO SNOW HERE in a few hours!! I suppose Al Gore will say that La Nina and El Nino and the Jet Stream are all in harmony.
  17. Ah damn...ya ruined it. Glider infantry didn't wear parachutes. We have to start all over
  18. GaJ I wouldn't call my post referring to your post as necessarily "ad hominem". I was genuinely curious as to how you know how all the pyschology of forums and the like works. Actually I failed 101, I was never a good debater. Secondly, my interest in this particular thread was based on my ignorance as to how the software people deal with supposed bugs in the programs of the game. Especially those that are reported by the users, and not anyone internal to the creator of the game. I think because posts that were speaking negatively about motives and lifestyles of posters seemed to have caused the folks who were addressing my questions to run for the hills. I could be wrong about that but I have no way to be sure. I really have no opinion one way or the other as to why people behave the way they do in forums. I suppose human nature and self-interest play large roles. I do tend to believe that the BFC folks and those working directly with them do tend to take things personal at times and in that sense may be drawn more to threads with ranting titles. So I guess I do agree with you. The problem now is that I never got an answert to my last question. That is where my self interest comes into play because I have experienced this problem a lot, and so have others, and it is difficult to duplicate and trap.
