  1. Since I am a sailor and a maggot, I request an HQ position in a Soviet naval platoon.
  2. Good lord!!! ... I've found my most favorite thread on pg.2  maggots. I'm looking for a battle or two by the way.. please send a set-up. I promise to return turns nightly unless I'm crippled by a mold infestion. I will gladly exchange insults in the near future. GRRrrr
  3. Same here... info lists it as v1.01 but it plays as v1.02 [as it says in the main game menu]. I have brought it to the attention of BFC but haven't heard back from them. I'm on a Mac of course. UX [ February 20, 2003, 05:56 AM: Message edited by: UXcva ]
  4. You were exactly right panzermartin! I used Photoshop to adjust the pink like you stated and it worked. Luckly it was just the side profile/wheel area that needed fixing [4 .bmps all told for 4 Pzs]. Thanks! UX
  5. Hello, I had a mysterious problem develop when I applied Saturnin's PzIII models (four of them) to the existing stock images. This applies only to his PzIII models, the MarderII looks alright. In all cases the culprit seems to be the .bmp that shows the side profile of the AFV as can be seen in the pic: To verify this I returned just the original side profile image to one of the tanks and the pink problem went away. I have successfully replaced numerous images/.bmps so far without a problem but this one baffles me. I am using CMBB v1.02 now but the problem exists in v1.01 as well. I've tried reinstalling the orginals then applying his images but the problem still exists. I have tried to contact the author about this, but he hasn't responded yet. Using a Mac G4/GeForce3/9.2.2 They are very beautiful looking mods, but the pinkness prob. is quite distressing. Perhaps I have an errant or mis-numbered file somewhere in the BMP folder that causes this(?) Can anyone help on this one? UX [ March 15, 2007, 10:13 PM: Message edited by: _UXcva ]
  6. Sadly, when I try to use icExcel (I have the current version, 1.2 for Mac) I am warned: "This Excel file format is too old. icExcel can open files created by Excel 95 or newer only." Any other mac folk having this prob? I've tried the version for 9 and X. Could someone possibily convert these to .pdf or know of an app that might open these properly? I've tried converting the files to Appleworks via Maclinkplus but that doesn't work either. Grrrrrrrrr tia UX
  7. It would help to know what platform and OS you are using.

  9. Do you still have the old card?,,, try exchanging vid cards [stating the obvious I know... ] You might also want to look at the fans inside your box... the one for CPU and the one on the vid card itself.... can't hurt.
  10. The problem might be memory or file related.... have you tried rebuilding the desktop lately? Its recommended that you do this once a month. TechTool lite (free) does a better job of doing this (rebuilding) then the usual command-option technique. I also use Speed Disk (via Norton Utilities) to defrag the HD and this I find to do wonders as far as restoring "speed". My machine will start to bog down too if I’ve been playing CMBB for quite awhile in combination with having had other apps (esp. memory hungry ones) open previously etc., but a restart and the periodic maintenance listed above usu. clears up any problems. Forgive me if I've mentioned something you already know. [edit: specs of my machine if your'e wondering; G4 800DP 640MB RAM, GeForce3] UX [ December 14, 2002, 11:01 PM: Message edited by: UXcva ]
  11. 11001.bmp and 11002.bmp are the splash screens. [Located of course in the Data/BMP folder]. Look at that folder, you might stll have a SP splash screen in there that shows up if/ or when your monitor resolution changes.

  13. I would first of all upgrade the OS to 9.x. Next, prior to installing CMBB, I would throw out all your current files/folders/prefs of CMBB and try again though this time use the "CMBB Installer - ENGLISH" {or French or German} on the CD. I think trying to "install" the Data2H, C, etc. is just going to give you problems.
  14. Have you tried the Apple site for the right/current drivers?... go here: click here and do a search for Nvidia. They have the 3.0 drivers there. {I just looked}. I assume you have run software update no? I am sorry you are having problems. I've got a dualie G4800 w/GeForce3 and no problems. One thing that might help is to disable all ATI extensions if you have a Nvidia card. [edit: well, it does look like the drivers don't apply to the iMac after all. Sorry ... if I find anything of use, I'll post it] [ December 07, 2002, 03:05 AM: Message edited by: UXcva ]
  15. Just to clarify, most of the sounds on the Mac are indeed .wav but 9 of them are .aiff including the opening music [ 00005010.aiff]
  16. Give it a boatload of memory,, that will help to a certain degree though it is a "crashy" app in general on a Mac. As per version #, the most current version is 5.1.6 for Mac (OS 9).
  17. What platform and machine do you use? I love my apple studio display (flat screen LCD),, very nice on the eyes [for those countless hrs. spent playing CMBB] and the visuals/graphics look very good as well. Doesn't take up much desk space and is relatively portable too.
  18. Comrade Nedvigin: [translation] Ah... I see the new ampulomet design has finally arrived to our poor corner of the earth... Comrade Nedvigin: [translation] ...yes, the camouflage that is white will be most effective in concealing our brothers position.. Comrade Kiriyenko: [translation] .... ack! {but?} when will the birds stop their ceaseless chatter!?....
  19. Could you elaborate/clarify what you mean by "settings"? I don't quite follow... [if you mean the mod, its MikeT's 'Russian sunflower field mod' and a beauty it is]
  20. Ok, here are some other shots. I checked every camera position and angle and didn't find any off map problems:
  21. In case anyone was wondering what that looked like: Note: just fired up v1.0 of the game and the same condition inflicts the Turan II there as well. Its only really noticable at the camera 1 position. [ November 22, 2002, 08:24 PM: Message edited by: UXcva ]
  22. I was spared that problem apparently. Pic of edge-'o-map-fog on my machine [G4 mac w/Geforce3, CMBB v1.01]:
