What phase of the battle is most vexing?
_UXcva replied to MikeyD's topic in Combat Mission: Afrika Korps
A large to huge map with winding road(s) in combo with mushy ground and loads of trees and numerous trucks and vehicles. No doubt very realistic but moving all the vehicles (esp. with various experience levels) and mega-way points can be quite tedious. The worst horror is a reinforcement that places new units on yet to be moved but already plotted units. -
Anyone here from the "south" of Sweden?

What on earth are you using for your datum line? According to my maps, the figures you give put you in the middle of Lake Michigan, in the USA.   Michael </font> -

ETO Tank Battalion Histories Available
_UXcva replied to Harry Yeide's topic in Combat Mission: Afrika Korps
Harry, I'm a novice at HTML and a Mac guy also but may I suggest an easy fix for your blue on green background problem. Open up your Word doc and scroll about half way down to this area: body bgcolor="#506f19" lang=EN-US link=blue vlink=blue style='tab-interval: .5in' Change #506f19" to "#D3CAAC" Your homepage will now have the same background color as most of your other pages. I couldn't figure out how to keep the green background and make the links black. I would also suggest changing the "title" (via the HTML coding) of your homepage, currently called "Homepage", to Harry Yeide's Homepage or something to that effect. Makes it easier to bookmark etc. [ June 10, 2005, 10:31 AM: Message edited by: _UXcva ] -
You mean operations eh? campaigns don't exist (yet). Try The Proving Grounds and search for operations or The Scenario Depot

Somethings wrong with Philippe's (Padivine) German Unit Portraits for CMBB version 3.0. When unstuffing the .zip file it locks up. The 501102.bmp esp. seems the culprit. Anyone else having this problem?

Nice work! .... a DAK version of the 251/9 would be appreciated also.

can't download files from Depot (w/Mac)

It would seem to be related to the "Internet Preferences" file found in System Folder>Preferences. I moved my internet prefs file (which effects other prefs like IE also) to the desktop so the system would create a new one. It resulted in the same problem Spitfire is having. Replacing the new one with the prefs file I had moved to the desktop returned things to normal. -

When I save a battle/op the way I described earlier its saved automatically as a SimpleText file. If a battle is saved as a IE text file they don't work in-game I've found. Its something to do the IE prefs or file exchange prefs I believe. If I discover anything further related to this I'll let you know. {I'm using IE:Mac 5.1.7, OS 9.2.2 btw} [ May 17, 2005, 01:00 AM: Message edited by: _UXcva ] -

You mention "the battle folder". Battles and operations go into the Scenarios folder. That might be the problem(?). I would suggest keeping the maps in the Quick Battle Maps folder. [ May 16, 2005, 11:35 AM: Message edited by: _UXcva ] -

I know this is a bit out of date.. but I have a Mac and can't open the .exe(s) for mission 1 and 2 [though I was able to play #3 because it was a common file so to speak], but if someone could send me mission 1 and/or 2 it would most appreciated. I'm just looking for the .cmf files, I don't need the OSF interface stuff.
