  1. Have you tried experimenting with setting a few Industrial centers? These act similar to capitals in that they are always in full supply even if cutoff from the capital and can be used to build units even if completely cutoff from the capital. These can be set via the Country Data Dialog and by simply listing the cities you prefer under the Industrial Centers list for each country. For example, we have used this for the USSR to add cities like Sverdlovsk and Grozny etc to help prolong the fight on the Eastern Front should Moscow fall early and so on.
  2. Sounds great SeaMonkey, I'm now very curious to see how this one will turn out
  3. Glad you are enjoying it Geozero and don't hesitate to spread the word
  4. xwormwood, glad you like it and as Bill mentioned, Matthew put a lot of creative work into that one and we were glad to include it. Btw, I have just been reported a small error in the campaign with respect to the Alexander HQ, he is incorrectly set with a negative MPP cost value so I have adjusted this and have the campaign ready for download here until the next patch. http://www.furysoftware.com/download/1946_Case_Neptune.zip
  5. No problem Geozero, the Global release is likely to be still a while off (as there are other planned additions and time needed for proper testing etc., i.e. it has already been a year since we first mentioned it unofficially after the WaW release) and of course it's focus for the Pacific won't exactly be on par with the Pacific Theater release so each iteration definitely has something unique to offer. Essentially if you are only after the Global experience then it is more than justified to hang on, otherwise if you've enjoyed the European Theater releases of Strategic Command then chances are you are going to really like what the the PTO release is going to offer
  6. Unfortunately not, the Editor for the Pacific release is also limited to only 23 minors... but if you can hang in there, a Global release is still planned that will include all the present features and will actually up the number of minors to 58 countries.
  7. Geozero, no worries and I am glad to help 1. This is the max size that the Engine can handle for most AI vs AI games. Any larger and things really slow down too much to make the game almost unplayable. 2. Not at the moment 3. Correct, and I would suggest you take a look at the following product pages, it has a list of the included campaigns, as well as the Demo found below: http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=157&Itemid=215 http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=177&Itemid=229 4. No elevations and you are essentially limited to what you have now in terms of overall terrain types. Although you can always swap out one of the existing terrain types for another one that you might have in mind. In that case all you need to do is edit the properties for the terrain type as well as the graphics etc. 4. PDE is not stand-alone but rather still an expansion of the original SC2 Blitzkrieg (i.e. unlike the Pacific Theater release which is stand-alone.) Hope this helps, Hubert
  8. Correct, as the idea was to simulate events like the evacuation of French troops to England at Dunkirk etc. Hubert
  9. For clarification, the used map size is going to be 198x82 but a full map size of 256x128 is still available via the Editor. Pacific Theater is reduced to 23 minor slots though as that was all we needed for this particular release. More info is available on the Features page for the Pacific Theater release: http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=207&Itemid=301
  10. Free Unit scripts will only apply to units that are moved to the #TRANSFER_ID country and as long as the % check is satisfied. For example, France will get free units when it surrenders if the #TRANSFER_ID is set to the UK and they are presently located on UK soil when France surrenders. Hubert
  11. Good question but off hand I don't think it will work... easy to run a quick test though to confirm. Hubert
  12. geozero, In your WaW installation there should be a folder called Docs. In there you will find a PDF file that discusses the migration of SC2 maps to SC2-WaW. Hope this helps, Hubert
  13. I see you have reviewed the post in the other thread so to confirm there are still 6 major powers available (for customizations) despite only 5 being used for the Pacific Theater release.
  14. Ok, looks like PowerGmbH beat me to posting the idea but essentially he outlines the solution a bit better
  15. That's a good question... I thought about it some and I don't think it can be done unfortunately. Perhaps a few times such as having the first decision ask the question, then have the second decision be based on whether the first question was rejected and so on... but I don't think it can be done exactly as you have in mind.
  16. A graphical user interface for scripting, as well as a graphing program for planning and decision events etc., is something I have planned for some time, but as you guessed it, it would take quite a bit of time to implement and as other development needs take priority it is always left, unfortunately, by the wayside. Either way, I'm glad to hear you guys are enjoying the tools and functionality as it stands now
  17. Forgot to add, PDE also has land loops
  18. It should work as we have done foreign language translations in the past.
  19. Thanks and the release is still unofficial but some time in the Fall is a good bet
  20. Victory Conditions are still being finalized but I think the general consensus is to essentially ensure that all parts of the map are in play. For example, the Japanese will at least have to focus efforts in two directions in order to win the game... so that could mean a west/south victory such as China and Australia or a west/east Victory such as India and Honolulu. These are just a few examples but the idea is to make sure that both sides have to think theater wide when it comes to Victory ensuring the Japanese cannot win by just going one direction over another and the Allies cannot win by just blocking a single area of the map.
  21. Hi Przy, Thanks for the questions and at the moment all I can say is that it is not likely. The Pacific Theater release breaks a lot of internal code from previous versions that make it a bit difficult to make older games backwards compatible. It's one of those things where the only way to move forward is to let some of the older code go, it's unfortunate but that is how it has to be some times. Hubert
  22. Hi JP, good catch and yes unfortunately the game does not recognize custom load music but I will add this to my list of things to add for any future patches.
  23. Good news is that we have a framework in place for the planned Global Conflict release that I believe will resolve most of these issues... and I should mention that you can thank PowerGmbH for this as well
  24. It is a great idea and something I have always had in the back of my mind but it would be a bit tricky implementation wise especially for E-Mail and Network turns. Things to consider would be the turn order for countries on a particular side, replays for Email games, as well how to set this for custom campaigns and so on. Naturally with the amount of work that goes into each game having it as two sides only makes things easier and one of the reasons it has yet to be implemented. We'll see how things progress on the next set of projects and if it is feasible I would be happy to include something like this.
