  1. Armuss, I may have introduced a bug with some of the naval AI speed enhancements. I will send you an updated EXE to see if it corrects the situation for you as I narrowed down a potential issue that I will correct for the next patch. Hubert
  2. william, I can't seem to be able to repeat it but I will keep my out for it... FYI, this might be related to the issue Armuss noticed on his end with Fleets as well. Thanks, Hubert
  3. Bill, raises a good point in that if you play without the hard limits then this type of situation will of course be possible. Perhaps another game with hard limits might give you more favourable results with the AI?
  4. william, Can you tell me for which campaign this was for? Also, for issue 1 you might want to double check to see if the National Colors option is selected as it was likely reset with the latest patch as we had to include a new SC2.ini file which has that as the default setting. For the Destroyers I am a little confused by your post, i.e. did they strike from 2 tiles away or move in from 2 tiles away and attack from an adjacent tile. Hubert
  5. The other option is to navigate to your installation directory and then click on 'Compatibility Files' in the tool bar of your Windows Explorer which will take you directly to this Virtual Store folder. You can then access the SC2.ini file and add the line as needed. Hubert
  6. Retributar, SeaMonkey, I tracked this one down and it is a Vista compatibility file issue. Seems as though Vista is storing the old sc2.ini file and reading it from the 'Virtual Store' directory. Please navigate to the following directory replacing 'Drive' with your current drive, likely 'C' and replacing User_Name with your current user name on your system: Drive:\Users\User_Name\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Battlefront\Strategic Command 2 Weapons and Warfare Expansion\ Then open the SC2.ini file and add the following line: #VIDEO_ACCELERATION= 0 It should work for you at this point without having to adjust UAC. Hubert
  7. haplo, forgot to ask, which demo are you trying to run?
  8. Can you check and see if the file 'dx7vb.dll' is located in your installation directory? If it is can you try and manually register the file via Start->Run and typing in the following command: regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Battlefront\Weapons and Warfare Demo\dx7vb.dll" Make sure you keep the quotes, i.e. "", and change the path to the file if it is located in another directory. Hubert
  9. If you are going to disable it go through Control Panel for sure, there is a pretty straightforward way to disable it under User Accounts.
  10. SeaMonkey Vista adds another layer of protection to your system with UAC which long story short will ask you to verify every copy/paste, installation etc., as well as a few other restrictions on your system to make sure it is very secure. Some may appreciate this extra layer of security but after a week of simply finding myself agreeing to each operation I was attempting to run I ended up disabling it. As Matt mentions, disabling it really can be argued as a way to avoid some extra headaches but in the end it is entirely up to you and whatever you feel comfortable with. Either way I would still do some research just to make sure what you will be doing when disabling UAC, or as an alternative you can try disabling it for the installation of Weapons and Warfare and then re-enable it when you are done. Hubert
  11. SeaMonkey, Thanks for the report and the only thing I can think of is that Vista seems to have some issues with execution paths and game files. For example there was an issue with saved game files that required users to change a few settings on their computers to get things working correctly. Here is the link with known Vista issues (listed at the bottom): http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=22;t=000625 As mentioned I've tested the installation as well as the patch on Vista and can't seem to reproduce this error with or without UAC enabled but I still wonder if for some reason the game is not looking for the files in the right spot due to Vista's User Access Control system. Retributar, SeaMonkey, can you try doing a fresh install using either of the two listed workarounds on Vista to see if that helps?
  12. Miech, control of tiles also changes at the end of a turn so what might appear as a situation where a unit did not have the proper supply it may of in fact had the supply on the AI turn. For example, tiles around occupied cities can go back and forth in terms of control depending on who controls the cities as well as if an adjacent port is controlled by the AI or an adjacent city etc. This may or may not apply but something to look for as well in assessing the supply situation on the map. Hope this helps, Hubert
  13. Armuss, No this is the full version as shown by the EXE version number in game, i.e. v1.04. Looks like I simply forgot to edit out the 'Beta' text in the Version Notes. Hubert
  14. Can you try running the DEMO as an Administrator? Right click on the DEMO shortcut and select "Run As Administrator" and it should resolve the issue for you. Hubert
  15. SeaMonkey, If you uninstall simply do not unlicense when prompted to do so and it should keep your license on the computer without you having to relicense. For the uninstallation, all you need to uninstall is WaW and not SC2 Blitzkrieg. My guess in all of this is that the WaW patch simply did not install correctly. If it installed correctly it should have the new SC2-WaW.EXE in the same installation directory as the new SC2.ini file that has the entry #VIDEO_ACCELERATION= 0. Can you confirm this?
  16. Retributar, I've tried to install on Vista as well and can't seem to reproduce this error. Can you try a full uninstall of the game and then re-install followed by the v1.04 patch to see if that helps? Hubert
  17. It would if both scripts are satisfied, i.e. I would double check how many units each script is calling for and if there are enough Axis units available to execute the script. One way to check and see if it has been called is to hit the '~' key and see which plans are in effect at the end of an AI turn.
  18. Retributar, SeaMonkey, Can you tell me how you attempt to launch the game? Is it from the Desktop shortcut or from double clicking the game EXE itself? I only ask as I wonder if the Desktop shortcut is not pointing to the proper location etc. If you try double clicking the game EXE from the installation folder, does it launch ok? Hubert
  19. Retributar, Open the sc2.ini file and add the following line to see if it helps: #VIDEO_ACCELERATION= 0 Hubert
  20. Sounds like perhaps your patch installer did not install correctly. I would also suggest another mirror or a fresh install followed by the patch to see if that helps. Hubert
  21. Simply those that are scripted in the event.
  22. Honch, There is an Amphibious Minor script that is set to handle Denmark, i.e. the same way it is handled in Fall Weiss, but perhaps some conditions were not satisfied for the event to occur. Do you happen to have a saved turn handy that I could take a look to see what might have happened?
  23. Yes if you surround him then his max reinforcement will only be 5
  24. This would be unusual as the AI does use the same set of rules as a human player. Unfortunately the only way I could confirm that there was in fact no other supply source I would need a saved turn to see it happen and then make the necessary corrections.
