OK now that's just downright cruel. For the life of me I can't get it to work. I have a few more questions though. Do the circles drawn on the square map represent the white or black circles needed? Where's my gun? Is it loaded? Do I really care about my monitor? Where's my baseball bat? Where's my gold clubs? How much would a new monitor cost? EDIT: Ok nevermind I figured it out. But now I have a fourth key, what do I do with that?

Well I don't get it, I got 7 balls, 2 keys, 2 keycards, and the square/ball map. I combine the 2 keycards to reveal the number but still can't get the right squares/balls combo. I tried placing the balls as if the map was upside down and all other layouts but still no go. Any clues? P.S. I hate these games and the people who post about them! :mad::eek:

Damn Bannon, the more I see/read about what this game was gonna bring us, the more bummed out I feel. If possible, even though it's kinda painful, I'd like to see others come forward and maybe show their work. Thanks for posting Bannon.

This really does suck to hear. I really wanted it bad. Has anybody dled it and try it out yet? Is it playable at all? I think in the long run, something will become of it being released open source now.

Sad news indeed, I was one of many that were still holding out for this gem. One things for sure, if anything ever becomes of the open source files, I'd say your name will be at the top of the credits/dedication list. Yeah I know Vista 32-bit will only recognize the 4GB minus the graphics card memory. So I'll get to use 3.5GB of my 4GB installed. From what I read though, for gaming anyway, 3GB or more is whats really needed and 2GB is the minimum. So I'm not gonna sweat that 512MB of wasted memory. The battery in my UPS has been dead for quite awhile. Just lost power the other week and had only about 5 mins of power. Where can I get a new battery? Looked in the manual for it and it says to contact your local dealer. Do they sell new batteries at Best Buy?

I'm still using my UPS Powerware 3110 from my Alienware I bought back in early 2003(6 yrs old now). Is there anything I should be concerned about with this old UPS? Anything about voltages or burnouts I should be aware of? Can a UPS that dies harm my PC, is this possible?

Correct me if I'm wrong but you certainly don't need broadband for Steam. Sure you'll dl a helluva lot faster with it but Steam tracks the dls so you don't have to restart the dl because of a dropped connection. Also the patches probably won't be that big. As long you buy the DVD you can quickly install the bulk of the game with that. More importantly, I'm pretty sure once you login successfully and launch the game it won't matter if you lose your connection. It doesn't disturb your play session.

Happy with the motherboard too, when I do give SLI a try it won't dowgrade the speed to 8x, both cards will run in 16x mode.

It's Total War series, it's meant to be arcadish, just like the rest of the Total War games. Did you guys really expect them to change? It's pretty much what I expected, new era, new units, and better graphics with the same cheesy arcade feel. Oh and yeah the new ship-to-ship combat stuff. Not that I like the arcade feel of the series. But as usual, the slew of modders will scrub off the arcadish feel to this one as well. Now we'll have to wait for that. :confused:

Whats the point amount? Although with rarity off, a toon of KTs is still a big chunk of change. So since his infantry force should be on the lightside, I'd overwhelm him with an all infantry force. Don't bother with ATRs, snipers do a better job of killing the TCs and keeping him buttoned up. IIRC the Russian 76.2mm ZiS gun can punch through the KTs sides at a decent range. Maybe get a few 20mm for distraction and then open up on the KTs side turrets. Since this is late war, load up on tank hunter teams and hope most of them get the RPGs. And smoke will surely help with infantry tank assaults.

I think the Masters Tourney is helping and trying to bring more interaction between clubs. I joined WaW recently mainly because of this. I still think there should be a sticky thread in the CMAK/CMBB forums dedicated to tourneys and CM clubs. It sure wouldn't hurt. I've also noticed some club sites support CMSF and I'm sure a lot of the CMSF holdouts will jump in with the Normandy release. So even having a sticky thread in the CMSF forum isn't out of the question. IMHO, any CMx1 and CMx2 MP gaming should be front and center from the battlefront site.
