Good to see the Halloween spirit alive and kicking. Nice deviled egg costume SgtM. And hoolaman, that pumpkin is genuinely creepy, good job on it. That haunted garage looks great, thanks for posting it. Looks like you and your buddies take an extra step than most. I usually only put out a few decorations. Nice animatronic video too. But don't turn off the scarier stuff for the small kids, it's always fun watching the little rascals piss the pants. (joking of course)

Yeah that was the first thing I did when getting bad performance. I didn't notice any difference after the update though. So I just assume it's the games fault. Good luck with that GJK, sounds interesting.

Ok sorry about that Moon. Thanks for the light spanking with the warning and not an infraction. I'm still bummed you guys passed on publishing SF. It would of been a great match and a much better fit than the LH site. If I had to guess I would say it had something to do with the language barrier. I know you can't talk about it though.

I figured RO players would certainly be interested in these sims. Yeah the release of TvT sorta stumbled out. But it sounds like their gonna fix/patch it up based on this [deleted] They also got a new moderator to help ease the communication channel from the devs to the community. There is a language barrier, [deleted] I haven't heard of any of the other games LH offers besides that Overclocked game, tried the demo. They're probably not use to this kind of influx of user feedback, good or bad.

I know there's some treadheads around here. Especially Panzer Elite fans from way back in the day. In case you don't know, the TvT game is based primarily on multiplayer while SF is single player only. Apparently the TvT release(Oct.25) has been a bit sketchy, haven't got my import yet from GoGamer.com. Also haven't gotten a new PC yet, this one is badly showing it's age. People are having a hard time getting connected to play online. But word is that they are working hard on a patch. There's not much of a SP side to this game either, only a dozen missions for solo players. Here's a review by tanksim.com. Btw, there's no english demo available. Has anybody on the BF boards tried this game yet? The SF game won't be released until Nov. 7th or the 15th if your getting it imported. I'm definitely looking more forward to this one. Apparently there's a mod already in the works called Steel Panzer. It seems their adding more playable AFVs. Here's a armed with the doorknocker(37mm). There is a demo avaiable for SF if your interested, FileFront has it. Gotta warn you though, the manual is a bad translation from russian. I guess a real PE successor has finally arrived, in the form of two separate games.

I decided to try out some older tweaked drivers for my 6800GT. So I got XtremeG tweaked nVidia drivers 91.47 released by ASUS. It seems my CMBB/AK games run a little better now. Also testes a newer game like CoD 4 but performance seems to be unchanged. I also got my digital vibrance back too. I think I'll stick with these for awhile.

I've never had a problem using the normal uninstall, it's always worked for me. Not saying driver cleanup utilities are useless, just that their not necessary. I checked the new beta drivers, but noticed my old card(6800GT) isn't listed under "supported cards".

Ok I just dled the driver and installed it with no problems. But I noticed there was a few differences from previous Nvidia driver installations. First I uninstalled my old driver. The new driver does install to ../nvidia/win2k folder, but I checked before I installed and noticed that previous drivers also had put stuff in this folder. But I'm pretty sure it never installed directly to this folder before. Anyways I didn't change anything and let it do its own thing. It seemed to install fine and I restarted my PC. I'm guessing this is probably where you goofed. Because it took much longer to reboot than any other nvidia driver I've installed to date. It took upto 10 minutes to reboot. It was a black screen the whole time so I thought maybe it froze and almost did a manual reboot. Glad I didn't as it eventually booted normally. One small gripe I got now, the digital vibrance doesn't work, my desktop looks much duller.
