  1. Them CSDT guys know what their doing. That's pretty much all i play is their scenarios and ops. You guys really don't get the recognition you deserve either. Thanks so much for all the kick ass CM battles. I for one, and my buddies love your work. Rock on fellas.
  2. Ok here's my method. First off, you should make a backup of your default bmp folder, just simply copy and paste it somewhere. CMMOS can do the mod swapping out back and forth for you. But i prefer doing it manually myself. Here's an example, make a folder like say a "Tiger I" folder with more folders in it containing different Tiger I mods and the default Tiger I bmps. Then when you want to swap out mods just simply highlight all(ctrl-a) of the bmps from which folder/mod you want to use. Then right-click on any of them and then use "send to" to drop them into your CMBB BMP folder. Note: You'll need to add your "CMBB BMP" folder to your "send to" menu. It makes it alot easier. In my "send to" menu i have cmbb/cmak bmp and scenario shortcuts. So i just right click on some bmps or a scenario and send it right to the proper folder. Oh yeah, all cm games will automatically use any of your winterized bmps when your in a winter landscape.
  3. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. Seriously though, who cares, these AI routine decisions were made for CM back in what, like 98. When BFC was making CMBO. Threads like this just make me look forward even more to CMx2.
  4. Yeah but come on, don't we all. Although i do commend you on exposing this joy of wargaming life to your grandson at such an early age. He's got so many wargaming years ahead of him and he'll be good because of you, hopefully. Oh yeah, im gonna go check out your scenario.
  5. Ok, that fixed it, thanks. The last file was only like 700kbs or something, but this one is much larger at 3.5mbs. Very nice site you got here Zim, i like it. Thanks so much for giving us a temp spot to get mods until our Mod Heaven gets back up and running.
  6. Wow, fascinating stuff, thanks alot for the linkage. And yeah, I'm in love with her too.
  7. Damn, those mods are great, dling now. Thanks Gurra, you rock. Edit: Something is wrong with the 251-2 download. Only 2 unreadable/corrupted bmp's are downloaded. [ April 19, 2005, 08:05 AM: Message edited by: MeatEtr ]
  8. Hehe, looking foward to the orgy of mod releases when CMMODS is back.
  9. This really should have been posted in the Tech Support forum. An admin will probably move this over there shortly. As for you problem though, i really can't help you. But i will say this though. Upgrading you pc just for the CM games really isn't all that neccessary. Unless of course you have an ancient pc.(less than 1Ghz, 256mb RAM or less, Etc.) I remember about 3 yrs ago i bought a monster Area-51 pc from Alienware for the HL2's, the Doom3's, and the Farcry's. Which was great and still is. But how big of a performance boost did i get from the CM games? Very little, if any at all. Another thing that greatly impacts performance are those high-rez mods that most of us use. If you do like those gigantic battles then i'd say stick with low-rez mods or just stick with the stock graphics. Also you might want to tone down or just turn off your anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering in your graphics card options. Anyway's, hope you get your problem sorted.
  10. Wow, i had no idea this site was on it's way out. Or is it just a big update? Since it does say this: But i haven't been to the site in a couple of months, so i didn't even know about it. This site is well known around these parts, that's for sure. It would be an awfull shame to see this site fade away. Since it's one of the best resources on the net for the Russian side of WWII.
  11. LOL, its just a tank in the photo, not part of the mod. </font>
  12. Wow, very impressive street mod. Will there be a option to not have that tank there? Im assuming there will be so there can be a CMBB version. Nonetheless, i'll be dling it when our beloved CMMODS gets up and running again.
  13. I kinda agree with you, but not really. The bogging down happens usually when it should happen. So there's nothing wrong there, IMO. I would like to see maybe a little bit less immobilizations and maybe more bog time. Rather then having the AFV become stuck or just bogged in for the usual 1-4 turn time frame. But rather just being bogged for several turns, like a 4-8 turn time frame. But im really not complaining.
  14. Long live OFP, although i haven't played it in years myself. I consider OFP probably one of the most underrated games of all time. The first game to ever feature iron sights. Notice how nowadays iron sights are in most shooters. If this mod ever sees the light of day, then i'll be sure to install the game again. Oh yeah, and whats the deal with OFP2?
  15. If you have read Berlin the Downfall (Berlin 1945) by Anthony Beevor you might find this movie very much historical. I personally liked it and its look on things with the war as a horrifying backdrop of an end of an era. Few battlescenes but still very very intense movie. -LT </font>
  16. Thanks for the info David. I'll start looking around for it. Btw, while i was snooping around, i came across this site, which can help people find it in their area. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be playing close to my area as of yet. [ March 29, 2005, 04:37 PM: Message edited by: MeatEtr ]
  17. Ah ok, thanks for the link Mike. That's great news.
  18. Just wondering whats going on. Usually it's back in a day or so, but it's been down for several days now. Anybody know whats going on? Is there cause for alarm?
  19. Sounds like a April Fools day joke. I've heard great things about this movie for awhile now. Anybody have any idea when and if it will be in US theatres?
