  1. I had the impression there are lots of females in fantasy role-playing, which has a lot of combat of sorts in that genre. It's the realistic wargame genre that doesn't appeal to females.
  2. The first post mentioned movement. I wonder if a too short movement distance command is being given. In that situation, the unit will often ignore the new orders at the 2nd waypoint and keep operating per the first set of orders.
  3. We see documentaries of inf cowering behind tanks. Was that the exception then?
  4. Now we have 15 sec TARGET increments, it's possible to fire at one target, reverse, move forward and then fire at another target. Actually I used to do that b4 the increments update.
  5. Glad you were able to get onto the Repository. Great to have new CMA scenarios... Thanks.
  6. GAJ: CMMODS and your CMSF area was invaluable and there are still many mods there that never appeared in the Repository here. Am pretty sure I have every CMSF mod that was ever on CMMODS. What "support" would you need to bet CMSF area active again - esp since one day we'll have CMSF2, and BLack Sea is close?
  7. Love your mods Oddball. But, I downloaded your mods from CMNMODS yesterday (Sunday), and now not sure if I need to do it all over again. (Actually I just did again as the files are small.) It would be helpful if you labeled the latest version differently so we could be sure of getting the latest files.
  8. That would be an interesting command to have - similar to a "follow me" convoy command.. But, currently you have to do the best you can with the separate commands.
  9. The real challenge for all games in the CM2 series is getting (good) campaigns. The work load/time required for a designer making a really well thought out campaign must be enormous. BF Campaign Packs developed for all the CM2 titles made by good designers is something I would pay for (in addition to the mod packs).
  10. Re linear smoke. I use that a lot and don't recall a problem re the rounds landing in one area.
  11. "The A/C isn't for the crew. It's for the electrical systems" So, even in the M1 the crew is about as miserably hot as they were in older tanks?!
  12. "...taking "best in world" as an objective statement?" If it's in a govt-sponsored video, it must be true, right? All I know is that I was getting out my CC as I watched the show.
  13. It's only an entertainment movie made for US audiences, not a mil history documentary. Same as those pieces of nonsense called "Stalingrad" for example.
  14. Yes, but does it have good AC for the crew like the M1?? Seriously tho', a very impressive video. Although someone should have told the producers how to spell "machine". With a claimed range of 4Km-5Km depending on conditions and the emphasis on crew survivability and 10 rounds/minute accurate fire, the new T90 should make the west's armaments family very happy as it looks like they'll have to make a lot of upgrades to the M1/Challenger/Leopard etc to compete. It's often more fun to play Red vs Blue, so looking forward to finally being able to mess with Blue in the way we've been doing to Red for a change. (Although I would imagine that air superiority will be the main issue.)
  15. I am amazed that I find myself enjoying CMSF more and more despite all the amazing mods etc being done for CMRT and the other games. CMSF has some amazing campaigns. I also want to play more CMA. However, there were very few really good scenarios (let alone campaigns) for CMA.
  16. Well CMSF was pretty flat so am "trained" for that.
  17. "the Nazis were just misunderstood" New research shows that all they were trying to was better market the nutritional advantages of pork sausages to Europe and it got out of hand when dealing with the non-pork enthusiasts and damned vegetarians and vegans like the French (crepe-lovers), gays (too into health) commies, gypsies, Jews, Slavs etc. The real reason that Britain wasn't invaded was that the Germans realized that pork sausages were were (and are - altho not nearly as good these days) a Brit staple.
  18. Once again, it may be an issue of the relatively small maps the vast majority of CM2 scenarios feature.
  19. Agreed. Everything is a lot of work. Nonetheless, there is a demand for NA in the same way as a demand for Bulge. I believe Bulge is planned (and I look forward to it). However, I don't see too many requests for it. The issue with the current crop of CM2 WW2 series is that so much of it looks kinda the same with different uniforms, weapons and vehicles. It doesn't make a lot of difference (to me) which of the current CM2 WW2 titles I am playing. Bulge would be kinda like CMBN/CMFI in dense woods - the main difference is that it would be in winter. NA would be as different as playing CMSF and it would be a huge change (and therefore refreshing).
