FWIW I was in the process of picking up a PS3 game from GoGamer as a gift for my nephew and I noticed that they are having another 48h madness sale (White Friday deal) and this one includes Combat Mission Beyond Overlord for $3USD. I picked up a copy of CMBO as a stocking stuffer!

Well, I have the PS3 version and though so far it is an engrossing game the combat model is a bit weak. It took me 6 shots to head (??!!) with my 10mm pistol and a 3-5 shots to the torso to bring down that guy in Moriarty's bar that asked me to detonate the bomb in the middle of the town of Megaton!! And I highly doubt there will ever be any mods for release to make the F3 combat on the PS3 more realistic!

I doubt this will be for the PS3 and Xbox360 versions! I guess they will be releasing DLC for sale on the console games but no fanmods.

OK, you guys sold me on Fallout3! I'm buying it this week! My only concern is I've heard a few problems about combat being a bit wonky. Unfortunately, I have to buy Fallout3 for the PS3 since my comp is so old and there will never be any combat mods for this version. Oh well, I'm sure it is still a great game! keep posting user comments!

Interesting notes! Do you mean that even if no one witnesses your killing of the fellow in the bar that the town automatically attacks you? I'm planning on buying Fallout1, Fallout2, and Fallout Tactics from gog.com for a total of $18USD tonight or this weekend! Not too bad of a price! F1 and F2 are rated at 5/5 after 2000 fan votes (FT comes in at 4/5). Fallout3 looks interesting and I may give it a go!

The GOG site has become open beta on Oct23! I got into computer gaming when many of these games were out of print. The games that I heard are worth getting include the Freespace series, Fallout series, and the Jagged Alliance2. I do not recognize ~50% of the available titles. If anyone has any recommendations please let us know!
