  1. Want some cavalry? You could console yourself with these I'm offering http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1752620386&r=0&t=0&showTutorial=0&ed=0&indexURL=0&rd=1
  2. I would like to be able to withdraw crews off map without any negative global morale effects. It seems unrealistic leaving them all at the back map edge.
  3. Imperial war museum info: http://www.iwm.org.uk/ The Duxford air show is well worth a visit. http://www.iwm.org.uk/ "Sat-Sun 13th/14th July 2002 - Flying Legends Air Show Established as the warbird show in Europe, Flying Legends brings together an unparalleled selection of classic American and European fighting aircraft including Spitfires and Mustangs. Both days culminate with a mass flypast." [ May 22, 2002, 09:26 AM: Message edited by: Lah ]
  4. Clash of steel took the idea from Third Reich, who cares anyway as long as they are all still fun.
  5. Please include an *option* for the game to be played past 1945, possibly unlimited time. I think it could be very interesting to play a PBEM game with someone to the death, ie: victory conditions could be the destruction of Britain and the USSR regardless of time restrictions. I know this is unrealistic but the war could have taken longer.
  6. I had more luck with the subs trying a different strategy. After capturing France and sending them out in a pack of 5 the British started losing 20'ish MPP's per turn. Also Allied Naval units trying to deal with the subs took heavy losses. I'm starting to like the naval side some more now I think the game offers quite a variety of options on how to play out the game.
  7. Great fun to play, now I want the full version! But I did find the cost of subs compared to their effectiveness didn't seem worth the purchase. The other naval forces also seem costly for what they can do. Else everthing is fine and balanced, looking forward to the full PBEM games.
  8. Much thanks for the new rules and your effort guys. I usually use Fionn's rules for ladder games, short 75 mainly, not to restrict the naughty boys but because I just enjoy that type of game! Cheers LAH
  9. So how long does it take to plot a turn, roughly? I'm just wondering how many PBEM games I'll be able to handle alongside the forthcoming CMBB.
  10. I won't be hard to find trustworthy opponents, look how many of us already play CM scenarios 'blind'. The only drawback is it may limit ladder play or tournies, but I'm sure it will still be a cracking game without all that
  11. I'm sure it has been mentioned this will not be the case.
  12. Does that mean a player can repeat his turn till he gets a favourable outcome, then mail it to the opponent? Hope not!
  13. ooo bugger wrong forum I posted on here thought it was another one, too many Grolsch beers, ol well HI MOM!

  15. maybe that is a good idea that A Cooper has done, if other people use his topics to continue questions rather than keep making new ones.
  16. Can cutoff forces be supplied by air? Will paratroop drops be implimented? With the naval forces, can they be controlled or will they work in the background reducing enemy production points? I see some infantry icons have only one soldier figure, why is that? Is it possible to build fortifications? Can HQ's be allocated different supply level's to simulate offensive/defensive situations? Are the units tough in that they will deteriate through combat or do they just dissapear when beaten in a combat, and do they recoil?

  18. This looks a great game, I been waiting for something like this since Third Reich and War in Russia, it kind of looks like the best of both in one and better.
  19. I think the manual was exellent compared to other games but there are ommissions that could only be found on this forum. All technical data could be included on the CD or released later as there would be too much to put in a manual. It would be nice to have a 'tips' section with misc info like placing AFV's in tree cover hides them better from air spotting (?).
  20. The Rugged defence ladder is a good place to play. http://www.rugged-defense.nl/cm/cm.htm
  21. I agree, even something very simple would open up a lot more interesting possibilities for CM games.
  22. Sudden strike bridges the gap between the grogs and non-grogs, they DO state that they have made the game as a balance between fun and realism. I'm sure many Sudden strike players will crossover to CM. Lets face it if CM wasn't here most of us would be playing Sudden strike with the combat mods and enjoying it.
  23. I once bought them in a night battle Else they are a must have to support armour.
  24. Pity you can't load them onto trucks or other carriers.
  25. I use the withdraw command all the time. Hmmmm don't sound too good that
