Schrullenhaft you are correct a .vxd is a Virtual Device Driver, used by applications, video cards, sound cards, basicly anything that needs to emulate a device of some kind.. - In Windows-- Without virtual device drivers, applications could cause problems when they want to use a system resource that is already used by another application. VxDs manage the use of those resources (mainly hardware devices). For instance your display driver is a piece of software that is necessary for your operating system to communicate with your display adapter. If applications want to use the display, they don't make calls directly on your display driver, but are controlled by Windows' virtualization driver for your display.

also IIRC the swastika (used by many difrent cultures) is traditionaly flat while the Ehrhardt Brigade sported the swastika both in its destroverse (clockwise) and sinistroverse (counterclockwise) forms, while the Nazi one, following Hitler's specific instructions, appeared only in the sinistroverse form. ------------------ Berlin calling, Berlin calling, when Berlin calls it pays to listen..... ----------------------------------------- http://ponyshow.com some screenshots [This message has been edited by Dogface (edited 03-08-2001).] -

I'm just a dogface soldier with a rifle on my shoulder. And I eat raw meat for breakfast everyday So feed me ammunition; keep me in the Division- Your dogface soldier boy's Okay. ------------------ Berlin calling, Berlin calling, when Berlin calls it pays to listen..... ----------------------------------------- http://ponyshow.com some screenshots [This message has been edited by Dogface (edited 02-15-2001).]

Okay, Another Military Song Question...
Dogface replied to Skott Karlsson's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
"The Caisson Song" by Brig. Gen. E.L. Gruber this song was adapted by H.W. Arberg into the army song "The Army Goes Rolling Along" March along, sing our song with the Army of the free Count the brave, count the true, who have fought to victory. We're the Army and proud of our name; We're the Army and proudly proclaim: First to fight for the right, and to build the Nation's might, And the Army Goes Rolling Along Proud of all we have done, Fighting till the battle's won, And the Army Goes Rolling Along CHORUS: Then it's hi, hi, hey! The Army's on its way Count off the cadence loud and strong (two, three) For wher-e'er we go, You will always know that the Army Goes Rolling Along Valley Forge, Custer's ranks, San Juan hill and Patton's tanks, And the Army went rolling along. Minute men from the start, Always fighting from the heart, And the Army keeps rolling along. CHORUS Men in rags, men who froze, still that Army met its foes, And the Army went rolling along. Faith in God, then we're right, And we'sll fight with all our might, As the Army keeps rolling along. CHORUS (the third chorus should be sung slower) + (Keep it rolling) And The Army Goes Rolling Along. ------------------ Berlin calling, Berlin calling, when Berlin calls it pays to listen..... ----------------------------------------- http://ponyshow.com some screenshots [This message has been edited by Dogface (edited 02-11-2001).] -
