  1. If you start a scenario and notice your troops are all crack and you'd prefer something else, just open the scenario in the editor, go to unit purchase for the side you'll be playing, highlight the parent formation and click Typical (or whatever you'd like) for quality and voila, you're all set.
  2. All radio operaduhs is trained to tawk dat way cuz no enemies what ain't from Joisey can unnastand em.
  3. The size of the scenarios you've been putting out recently is just right, imho. Enjoying them.
  4. You can't even begin to compare the AI for a few aircraft in a flight sim (by the way, the IL2 AI cheated) to what it takes to control ground forces over uneven terrain and in totally uncertain circumstances. The AI needs to be improved is a statement that will probably be true throughout all of our lifetimes. Scenario triggers are now giving designers a way to make some very credible AI attacks, but it certainly defends better. I know there will always be several orders of magnitude more single player gamers than those that want the challenge of human competition, but playing other people is where CM really shines.
  5. The reason you remove the mod folder is that if there is a conflict, the first time you start the game, you have to deal with that and you'll know the patch process went fine.
  6. One of the best things about wargames is that they give people who never experienced/don't know about/etc the chance to see that war is really hell and people are maimed and/or die. We have wars because every generation or two the population of people that don't realize the horror of it go to war and relearn the eternal lesson. What you have to do as a gamer is respect those that have been there and perhaps sacrificed but separate that from the game experience and give yourself permission to enjoy simulating war and trying your best to be victorious against your opponent. Football (and some other sports) are like war. They represent the battle to push the opponent back and take ground, but we don't think of it in those terms because we've given ourselves the okay to just enjoy it.
  7. Always take out your mod folder and your hotkeys.txt right there with it. Patch, fire it up, close it, put them back (Yes to copying over the new hotkeys that the patch put it in) and you're right back to normal.
  8. Gentlemen, I must say I am looking forward to this one!
  9. I like Option 4 best Chappy: The SS Battalion is marching down the road nicely bunched up at several hundred yards range. The boys open up with main gun and mg's, kill a crapload, then haul ass while the rest wonder why they moved in a tidy formation down a road with an enemy tank's pointy end facing them.
  10. By the way, I used the editor and opened up the first file that you uploaded (the one that could be opened and put into the scenario folder) and there are no units for either side in it.
  11. Okay, Frank, here's the deal. First one you posted could be downloaded and unzipped and put into scenario folder but didn't show up in game. Second one could be downloaded, but not opened, file is damaged. This one is the same as the second, can be downloaded but not opened. If you have a .btt file that you can actually play, you might want to post it at CMMODS.
  12. All you need to do is look at the file type: .btt is a scenario .cam is a campaign
  13. You could d/l the original file from the repository, but it didn't show up as a scenario. I assumed that you had made it under 3.01 and it wouldn't show up until we patched, but I patched and it still doesn't show up. This new one cannot be opened, it says damaged for me as well.
  14. The special forces teams with the exoskeletons are especially lethal against vehicles in ambush, and at night.
