Sorry to be the slowest guy of the bunch. Usually i'm the fastest one, but currently work, new flat and some other things than CM really takes my time away. I probably won't be able to finish my games before late July, but as far as i recall, there were no deadlines set.

Those city pics are great, i almost feel like i'm in Moscow... Petrovka street in Moscow is pretty famous one – Soviet Criminal Police was located there (is it still there?).

I tried to pronounce it that way when i first saw the ad (i speak Russian) – BAJABAJAOSSA TO BEJALIN Sounds like Arabish or somfink.

I read a review on insidemacgames.com about some new wargame and downloaded a demo. First battle was Last Defense as Americans against AI. Loaded up scenario, the first view was Battalion HQ sitting in the top floor. Some five minutes were spent to figure out how to move around. I think i lost it, but not terribly. Tiger got into town and Battalion HQ unit started to throw grenades from top floor, i thought it soooo cool.

YES, much better now! Thank you! The thread page (this page) is ok. However i second CMplayer's opinion that there is something funky in the thread-list page. Maybe it's because yellow links goes on greenish background, might be better if you switched the column colors – the link would be on the "dark-yellow" background.

Oh, think this is too soft, and romantic interludes doesn't really set the tone for the heavy fighting. I cannot find the mp3 for the "Vstavaj strana..." but i think it has some misterious power to it. Something undescribable... Is there some site with soviet songs of that time in mp3? Something from Soviet propoganda songs of that time. "Vstavai strana ogromnaja" for example.

My download worked just fine, and movies played perfecto. Having read this, i'm shocked by amount of knowledge of real world military doctrines this guy (Fionn obviosly) has, and how he applies it to the CM tactics. Pitty that I'll never reach such a heights, simply because i do not have such knowledge (and really, i'm not very keen to learn them in depth). I simply play by intuition and from experience. Note: in 5th movie from allied side, look at the notorious spotter T-13, he's left targeting a patch of woods which is occupied by friendly troops, and spotting round fell damn close to squad and HQ unit (everybody does his share of mistakes, i guess ).

Great! Now i can enjoy for the second time, how i crushed my opponents in the first round.

Ok, and update. With redwolf we're at turn 3, discussing finest details of agressive defence but no shots are fired yet. Wreck is silently sending back turns at alarming rate (we're at turn 5), and he just killed my stupid X... The game with White4 is starting to get hot early, turn 5 that is. I just remebered that some time ago (when Soviet Union still existed) i was told, that the diameter of standart soviet vodka bottle was excactly 76mm ( i think i even measured that myself ). Coincidence?

Those orthodox crosses look funky thou. Looks like there is two doodads for one cross positioned at 90 degree angle. Why is that? Did BTS tried to give a 3D look to the 2D doodads?

Mmm, i see your point... To abandon the foxhole in the storm of enemy fire, when everyone and his mother is shooting at you... That means machinguns can run in the CMBB! As i side note, Maxims has those little wheels under them, do they get some kind of movement bonus because of that?
