  1. I added a new sound for the incoming rockets. Look on the 'Guns' page. If you like it, praise my name. ------------------ Keine Gefangenen! Visit my Combat Mission Sound Mods site! Scipiobase Join the Blitzkrieg Wargaming Club [This message has been edited by Scipio (edited 02-15-2001).]
  2. The IMO most useless artillery units are the german rockets. I count usually less then 20% of hits in the closer target area. And if fired 'blind', they kill more of my own men then enemies. ------------------ Keine Gefangenen! Visit my Combat Mission Sound Mods site! Scipiobase Join the Blitzkrieg Wargaming Club
  3. Thanx to all. One more thing learned ------------------ Keine Gefangenen! Visit my Combat Mission Sound Mods site! Scipiobase Join the Blitzkrieg Wargaming Club
  4. I can purchase 105mm Artillery and 105mm VT artillery. The VT is more expensive. What is the difference? They have both 100 shells and the same blast range. ------------------ Keine Gefangenen! Visit my Combat Mission Sound Mods site! Scipiobase Join the Blitzkrieg Wargaming Club
  5. A simple wisdom: if you move into a battle, be prepared to see the worst possible enemy. If you want to avoid bad surprises, declare your 'extra-rules' BEFORE the battle starts, or keep mum forever. And IMO, tanks - both the large and the small ones - are much to overestimated. One shot can take them out. I've already seen a Panther blown away by a 60mm Mortar shell. ------------------ Keine Gefangenen! Visit my Combat Mission Sound Mods site! 6. Steve, some time ago I suggested something like a briefing screen for Quick Battles, so we don't have write down all setting everytime for the opponenet and ourself (if we want to proof something). The answer was: yes, this a high requested feature (I'm not sure, but I believe it was an official BTS statement, too). I guess it won't make it into a CM1 patch anymore? ------------------ Keine Gefangenen! Visit my Combat Mission Sound Mods site! Scipiobase Join the Blitzkrieg Wargaming Club
  7. Got it, thanx a lot!!! ------------------ Keine Gefangenen! Visit my Combat Mission Sound Mods site! Scipiobase Join the Blitzkrieg Wargaming Club
  8. I could swear there was a post about a PBEM manager tool some days ago...can't find it. Someone can help? ------------------ Keine Gefangenen! Visit my Combat Mission Sound Mods site! Scipiobase Join the Blitzkrieg Wargaming Club
  9. Hannibal (yes, the one with the elephants) was one of the best strategists and armyleaders of the antique. Scipio defeated him. And I like how it sounds. ------------------ Keine Gefangenen! Visit my Combat Mission Sound Mods site! Scipiobase Join the Blitzkrieg Wargaming Club
  10. Sorry Mike, you're right. I will keep in mind next time. To some others: Excuse my bad English. I wouldn't justify something or someone. I'm sorry if I should have something that isn't true. [This message has been edited by Scipio (edited 02-13-2001).]
  11. On Feb 13, 1945, a fearless fleed of 772 British and 311 American bombers managed to flatten the worthless city of Dresden/Germany. Approximately 70000 enemy civilians and fugitives was terminated during this war decisive operation. Hail to the Commander of the Bomberfleet, Air Marshal Sir Arthur Harris. Let's remember the crew of the five Aircrafts that was shot down by Nazi AA during the attack. ------------------ Keine Gefangenen! Visit my Combat Mission Sound Mods site! 12. I found an old PBEM turn, played with version 1.05. A US-Halftrack was missed from close range by a Faust, but taken out by the FIRST thrown handgrenade of a Veteran SS squad. ------------------ Keine Gefangenen! 13. Okay, I had a look on the current CM1: I can't find a problem. There are no Hakenkreuz, and their are no Sig-Runes. The Waffen-SS is simply shown as Waffen-SS, not in political or glorified context, only as one of different possible armys. Nothing that I haven't seen in other games which are in the store without problems since years, like the CS-games, the Steel Panther series, the Art of War and a lot of other strategy games. Also, their is no kind of violent graphics, no blood and guts and heads flying around. Things like that would result in problems with the BPS, but violence is only shown in an abstracted way. The German cross, how it's currently shown to mark German units, is allowed (and still in use by the Bundeswehr), also the term 'Waffen-SS' isn't a problem. ------------------ Keine Gefangenen! 14. Yeah, Helge is right. BUT : it's a question how you want to sell the product. If you sell like now, direct order in the USA, our Goverment can't handle it. If you want sell it in retail-biz, you better avoid all kind of runes and Hakenkreuzsymbols. In Germany is censorship a good old tradition that survived Third Reich. Counterquestion : do we need such symbols in the game? ------------------ Keine Gefangenen! Visit my Combat Mission Sound Mods site! Scipiobase Join the Blitzkrieg Wargaming Club
  15. Same problem here. I already stopped infantry assaults on tanks if they have no AT-weapons left...and by the way, where are the infantry close AT-weapons? Where are hollow charges or AT-Wurfminen (don't know the English word), and how about Molotow cocktails? All VERY usual weapons! ------------------ Keine Gefangenen! 16. Your body will be revised next. Your eyes get insensitive to all kinds of radiations, your ass get some flap for sitting on all grounds, you're able to sing Sunzis 'Art of War' forward and backward. Also, your tongue will grow up to 8 m, so you can get food from the fridge without leaving the computer or catch something that flys/runs around - be carefull with your children - and BTW, you will be able to reproduce yourself unsexual. ------------------ Keine Gefangenen! 17. Don't panic. Your brain is only preparing to change you into a standart CM-zombie. Call it evolution.
  18. Time is a good point, but if they panic and leave the gun, they don't leave the map. They run usualy to the next cover. But if they recover after some minutes, and the gun is still useable, it would be logic that I can order them to return to their post. As I said - a vehicel will be abandoned because of damage, that can't be repaired within scenario time, but a useless gun only cause the crew leaves their post??? That's not good. ------------------ Keine Gefangenen! Visit my Combat Mission Sound Mods site! 19. As far as I know: when a gun is kaputt, it's knocked out. When the crew ran away, it's abandoned, but still usable, or it would be knocked out. Well, I can understand that a tank crew leaves a damaged tank and won't return. But why can a gun crew not return to their gun? ------------------ Keine Gefangenen!
