  1. ...and I always thought that a Mac would implode as soosn as you install Windows on it...
  2. How destructable are the buildings? Can buildings be destroyed piece by piece? Would be to nice to see some screenshots of the terraine after the artillery...
  3. That infantry can not enter buildings sounds like a very big disappointment to me...
  4. Looks nice! You should consider to turn FSAA on for the next screenshots !
  5. Please excuse the missunderstanding, I didn't wanted to start a discussion if AA has state of art graphics, but how the CM:SF graphics compete with the AA graphics, which are looking at least noteably better than the CM1x graphics...
  6. I wonder how CMSF will look compared to the new graphical state of art game "Armed Assault"!? Please note that I have written 'look' - obviously the gameplay can not be compared, since AA is an action game with tactic elements.
  7. You are to kind! *bow and scrape*
  8. Maybe we should rename the topic to *Release date joke*?
  9. ...or CM1x maps. Or each damned map from any other source... *muahahahahaha*
  10. I have not encountered any problems with enforced AA and FSAA. I have a Geforce7900GTO and the Forceware 93.71 driver. But IIRC the Radeon GPUs have a problem with CM!?
  11. In the Blog is mentioned a drop of FPS because of the capturing software. I wonder how much FPS you have in the game and on which hardware you run it!? What's more essential for the game engine? CPU or GPU power?
  12. Sgt. Rock, my very personal and completly made up opinion is: since CM:SF is based on a new game & graphics engine, we should not encounter the same problems as we have in the CM1x games, which are based on a engine from ~1999 when things like AF & FSAA where not much more than wet dreams.
  13. Yep, the movement of the branches looks odd. I wonder if all the terraine is destructable: burning grass, splintered trees etc...
  14. Now let's compare a screenshot from CMBO Alpha with a screenshot from CMSF alpha: Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me there is indeed some minor progress visible!?
  15. Well, as far as I know, it's not allowed to show naked tits in the US free TV!?
  16. Yes, I know the difference, that's why I wrote "The swastika as used by the nazis..."
  17. LOL, swastikas as a sign for the freedom of speech. Seriously man, please think about it... The US goverment uses 9-11 like the nazis have used the Reichstagsbrand. The US invades foreign countries just on suspicions, lies and to save the worlds oil resources for themselves. This week has the President signed a law that allows even torture to save the lives of "US citizens", and what else is Guantanamo Bay as a KZ? You (the US citizens) should better take care that the Stars and Stripes will once not mean the same to the world as the swastika flag.
  18. Franz, indeed I give money to the volksbund frequently, and that's also how I became aware of the problem. Thanks for the offer, I'm just a wargamer, not a collector of militaria. Regarding the swastika question... To leave swastikas out is (IMO) historical not fully incorrect. Simple logic: The swastika as used by the nazis is - in simple words - a nazi symbol. Nazis are bad. I hope we all agree on this! All German armed forces has supported nazi politics and crimes in one way or another. Maybe it can be discussed how much they were directly involved, but what would this change? Option 1) So you can play the Germans in a game, just as a military force, and don't need swastikas. Option 2) You have the Germans in a game with swastikas, knowing that they are the bad boys, and you don't want to play them, because you don't want to play for the nazis. Option 3) You have swastikas in a game and love to play the bad boys, especially if they wear swastikas. Do me a favor and use your Luger or Walther and shoot yourself in the mouth. Option 4) You have swastikas in the game, but you don't have an opinion about it, or you see the whole issue from a neutral point of view. In this cas, you can also go back to Option 1. 19. Funny to see how hard people are fighting for the freedom to use swastikas. Must be some kind of cynical joke I don't understand
  20. That's bad news. I have seen very nice villages in the screenshots.
  21. What does it mean with 'no building entries'? Can somebody please point me to a threat about this? No soldiers in buildings sounds a little bit unrealistic, but maybe it's talking about something completly different.
  22. May I ask if this collection includes original German stuff from WWII? These items are known to be mostly stolen from soldiers graves on battlefields, and each original dog-tag means that a soldier - if he should be later found be an official authority - must be burialed as unnamed soldier. Just want to mention this...
  23. You can be shure I'm the first one to tell somebody where he can shove his politically correctness, but I wonder anyway why it is so important to some people to have swastikas in a computer game. If you really need them, hang a big swastika flag over your PC and feel happy (and try to explain your parents, wife, friends or whatever what's beautiful about it )!
