2. Technically he was unbanned a while ago but he has declined to return. It's that hot headed Irish temper that gets the best of him, or maybe it's the whiskey? Who can tell? Jeff
3. Okay... Had to jump the gun here and start a new thread since Wincape hasn't yet. Besides I got a question for John Ketter. John, how and the heck can Fionn have a battalion of motorized infantry with support elements? The cost for that is over the 1500 point limit? Did I miss something? Jeff ARG! I spelt continued wrong! Damn my wretched, wretched fingers! UPDATE I have been advised by the powers that be that some people are taking quite a bit of liberty in the partial deletions problem discussed earlier. Therefore I wish to advise all my future opponents that the condition of my play will be that deletions beyond the neighborhood of 100 points WILL NOT BE ALLOWED in my games. I feel this is unbalances any battle and puts the more fair minded player at a consider disadvantage. Don't get me wrong... I am here to win but not at the cost of my principles, fuddled as they may appear. Regards. [ 07-18-2001: Message edited by: Shandorf ]

5. LORAK! Please be aware I have two postings for you... The losers JD - Tried and failed. Not sure if it was better than not trying at all. Bauhaus - His 105mm was as vicious as he rear probe attacks he is known for, but to no avail... The winner Why of coarse... me! Muahahaha! Die alot now.. gotta get my turns out and then hop onto WWII Online. I have found a new calling. Jeff
6. Attention. I will be in Las Vegas until Monday night fulfilling every carnal and depraved desire that rests in my hollow soul. So, no turns until I get back. As to those of you who wish raise my ire I use the immortal words of Peng on you. Feh. Jeff
7.
quote:
Originally posted by Banshee: you used to be able to do adjust off a TRP, BTS said it was a bug, thus you have the (dis) functionality that we have today

Yeah, but that was when people would just initially target a TRP and then target further and further out, all this happenning during just an orders phase. So when they fixed this, it caused the problem I am having. Oh well.. That is life. Jeff
8. I know what you are thinking, "Jeff? Are you crazy? TRPs rock!" Well, let me tell you something... TRPs suck in that once you are firing on a TRP with a spotter and then you try and adjust away from the TRP, BUT well with adjusting firing range, so that the time to fire should be small, your time RESETS back to the full time. This is a real pain in the ass, and doesn't make sense. Okay, done bitchin'. Jeff
9. Partial deletions is NOT going to work. The reason for this is that I can buy infantry platoons piecemeal at a discount. Remember, when you buy large groups you get a discount on the units in the entire company. Therefore I could blatantly buy an infantry company or a Heavy weapons company that has artillery attached and then delete the infantry or other units and keep the artillery units a cut rate. This IMHO is complete cheating and it should be disallowed. Jeff
10. Geeezus, Fancy Lad, some of us do have a life. Anyway, by my calculation there has been $.81 cents wager in Fancy Lads challenge towards me. I ponder the playing of him. Do I have time? Will he be fun to play? Do I care? As for his little ultimatum about me leaving if he beats me I have pondered this... How about this Fancy Lad? If I win you leave? And vice a versa. So what do you say fluff boy? Care to put you panties where your mouth is? [Note: I do this out of no loyalty to the pool or care for the denzens therein. I do this solely cause I wish no longer to read Fancy Lad's rambling post that have about as much presence and charm as a noisy refrigerator.] Jeff
11. Artillery is IMHO almost an unavoidable event when on the defense. All you can really do to limit it is to keep you infantry out of direct LOS from long range. Use cover and terrain elevation to conceal you positions so that your opponent has to close and manuver to bring to bear artillery or any other DF. Jeff
12. Gentleworms of the pool, I accept your nomination and your revulsion with thankless thanks and general aloofness. But I assure you I will do my best to bring dishonor and general loathing to the name of all Pooligans when I meet in arms against the out-boards and grogs. Fear not but I will go above and beyond the call of duty to sneer, belittle, berate, and bask in my, as Fancy-Lad puts it, chest thumping. Nay, I will show no favoritism when it comes to this task, because while you gentleworms are the lowest of all beings, they are the slime you tread about in while you go about your meaningless lives. For I will show them what it means to play a pooler. Bugger off, Jeff
13. Dammit! So close! Peng you are in trouble buddy boy! Prepare for setup to soon come your way! It is the only way I know how to punish you... And to think, I was going to donate my spoils to the lovely, wait... slime cover festoons of the pool. You know who you are... So be it then but I swear a blood hamster on all of you who opposed me. Maybe not tomorrow. Maybe not next week. Maybe not not, hell, ever! But I will have my revenge. Oh yes, I will... Muhahahahahahahahahaaha..ack! *cough* *sputter* *gag* Besides, if I would have come in here all dopey eyed like some sicken Oliver Twist whimpering, "Please, sir. May I have a nomination." You would of all turned on my like ravenous pack of merkats. Now Die A Lot, Jeff
14.
quote:
Originally posted by Elvis: I nominate jshandorf.

Ahhh...He is wise. For that I may go easy on you the next time we meet in battle. That is, if you ever can stomach the pure pain and agony it is to play me. Just ask Shaw he knows.... Once again I will fail to notice Geier. Jeff
15.
quote:
Originally posted by PzKpfw 1: The only problem i see with this is CM covers battlefeild actions. I doubt very much anyone was going to risk loseing 2 tanks & crews by attracting the fire of every OPFOR wpn in LOS when they notice whats going on . 16.
quote:
Originally posted by Panty Liner: I think i can speak for the pool when I say that Jizonhandoff will NOT be representing the Mutha Beautiful. [ 06-12-2001: Message edited by: Panzer Leader ]

When did we make you our spokesmen? As I said before, shut your pie hole you whiny little twit! Or am I gonn a have to hold you under the cess until you say Jefe? Don't push me Panty Leader. [ 06-13-2001: Message edited by: Shandorf ]
17. Damn, all of your lice ridden, leasion infested hides! You all suck so much, you suck the filth from a bloated mule's ass! Time is running out! If I am going to get another shot at the Galic spewing, ballywog of a pathetic drunk named Fionn I need to be "nominated"! You're all a bunch of prissy, drug-addled whores fighting over the last dildo, if you ask me! But you won't! Do I care! No! But dammit I need some sort of "go chew on thier stumpy legs Jefe" before I can get in. So give it up and let a little sewage out of those bloated egos, and just say YES! Your wives and GFs do, and they can grin and bear it! Why can't you? Peng while I am always welcome your jovial and witty banter you cannot be serious.... Hiram? He couldn't command his way down his GF's pants let alone troops on a battlefield. Unless one of you really think you got the stones I really think the choice is obvious. Bah! 18. LORAK! My goooood man, or else... Please record the following victory for me. ME - WIN! Mensch- LOSS! You missed me again last time. Heeeey, keep your smart ass comments to yourself. I heard that Hamster huffin and puffin up there in that hollow gorde you call a skull. Jeff
19. Well, then... Getting back too POOL business... LORAK!! You oaf! Please enscribe the following... ME: WIN! Babbling Mensch: LOSS! Score was like 74-22 or somefink like that. The greatest part was when my STUGIII took out his super Pershing from like 750 meters. That was reeeeeeal nice. Jeff
20. I am gonna see how these piss boys shake out, (pun intended) cause the last thing I need is some groveling, butt kissing, toadie that couldn't win a game if Kitty held him at scissors point. (Ouch! Just hurts thinking about it) I have finally succeeded in goading Joe Ma into a game. He will die now like all the rest of you sniveling snot noses. Also.. I assume the gathering of 2 half-wits and an intellectual is still on for Tuesday the 27th at Kieran's? Hmmm? Is that right? Seanachai? Teke-torch? 21. Elvis, That is what I am talking about. There is a minimum range for the HE ammo of most AFVs so that they WOULD NOT hit something accidentally to close and kill themselves. Hofbauer, I am specifically talking about Panzerschrecks in my example. Jeff
22. Hey, BTS. I have noticed that this is not incorporated into the game. For instance... Most, if not all, HE rounds (artillery and DF) have a timer for arming the warhead. Most of the times this was done with a centrifugal timer or by fuse. Therefore there was a minimum range the projectile HAD to cover before the warhead would arm. Take for example the Panzerschreck: "(...) We had a minimum range of 50 meters since the RR80 round fuse didn't arm itself before 15 meters, and there must be at least 50 meters between you and the target in order to survive the engagement. An exploding tank is not the safest thing to be near to..." Here is told that the warhead WOULD NOT arm before 15 meters, but on several occasions I have seen Panzerschrecks engage at MUCH LESS then 15 meters. I know this situation also applied to HE rounds fired from AFVs. This was so that the AFV didn't kill itself which happens now and again in the game. 23. Ya know, Joe. If I wanted any comment out of you I would pay more attention to your ass, since that is the primary source of your knowledge. And since your ass hasn't said anything interesting I am attempting to ignore that "other" hole, which apparently is the true producer of crap, but is located in a much uglier area of your body. 24. Why don't you just stick in a sock in that pie hole of yours and do us all a favor. Jeff ------------------ "It's takes a big man to cry, but it takes bigger man to laugh at him." - Jack handy
25. LORAK!!! Please note: Berli - Total and utter loss. jshandorf - Hail to the King, baby. Win. In the last turn Berli's troops where litterally running off the map. The score was like 91-6, I think. I don't get CM games out like some CM whores around here but I like to feel that my victories are more qualitative than quantitative. [Rowsing applause]. Oh please, don't. You're too kind. Sit down, please. No, really. I don't know what to say... Well, then... I'd like to thank the academy...
