There are many ways to go here. From a serious perspective : I wonder if that comment in the manual was supposed to be for the M1918 BAR and was put under the wrong description. I haven't seen a BAR with a semi deploy option, but firing from the hip might be what it is referring too. On a more modern practical note: I would take the extra time to get it fully deployed before you think about firing your gun

You could go to metacritic and post a review yourself. I am know I am planning but it but I wanted to let the game soak in some more. The game has its faults but it also has its prasises. I would probably rate it 7 or 8 in its release state. Of course that is subject to change by the time I wirte something.

I like the package. We know the whole thing couldn't be steal because that would probably damage the physical media of the discs at risk. It seems a pretty good compromise to me and for one have no complaints.

The front and back are steel. The sides and spine are plastic. It beats the box that CMBO came in!

I got mine today as well in Raleigh. I don't recall the post office ever being this quick. It usually takes about 5 days from something out of town here.

I spotted something earlier in the tech forum about someone who couldn't reduce trees (Alt+T) and another alt command, but I don't remember the 2nd one off hand. It does make me wonder with 2 people possibly having an issue. On my G19 everything is fine.

My status says "confirmed" so I assume its not shipped yet. They could be going alphabeticly in that case I am an S. I guess we'll see in a day or 2.

I ordered mine on March 12th and I have yet to receive anything saying it shipped. Given the fact the pre-orders began being accepted on March 10th I thought I would be one of the first to be shipped, but who knows.

Surprisingly the speed is pretty good despite the word getting out. Been going between 750 and 680KB/sec.

It won't be out this week I don't think. There is mention on another thread that the MAC crash would be fixed in the release version and in the updated demo. That was posted today so that would require further testing if that is true.

I wouldn't be surprised with a Tuesday or Wednesday release. They got the demo out Friday and probably took the weekend off to enjoy the calm before the storm.

Its been a while since I have done anything on the forum but I have trolled it for years. I guess have a new CM on WW2 was what it took for me to get more interested since CMAK. I never got into CMSF because my system at the time couldn't handle. In the past year I did get a new system and CMSF along with all 3 modules recently in anticipation of the new game. Hope to challenge some of you soon online.

I just purchased the Paradox version of the game today. I downloaded CMSF_v110_Paradox_Patch and applied and then did the same for the CMSF_v111_Paradox_Patch before I started a game. According to the manual there should be a Yakima Training Center and a Task Force Hawk campaign. The only one displaying is one called Task Force Lighting (I am going by memory on the name of that one). I checked the campaign directory located at D:\Combat Mission Shock Force\Game Files\Campaigns and only had one in there. Was the Hawk campaign renamed? What happened to the Yakima Training? Could some mirrors have the incorrect patch? Any info would be appreciated. I'm not too concerned about the training campaign but I am concerned that if a campaign is missing how many if any battles am I missing and why? Thanks

I have to say the screen shots look amazing. They look so good I am worried if my system will be able to handle it. What are the system requirements looking like? What card did you use for those shots? I want one.

Its hogwash. Don't be fooled into believing the "scientific" explanation. It was really the new F-x51 beling flown by the military. The F-x51 was a joint US/Alien designed plane made at Roswell.

Won't work. They would have to use a base exe such as whats in CMAK and code in all the rest of the units. Not to mention changes to game play resulting from the new code. It would take a long time to do and a long time to test.
