  1. I don't know how realistic in-game supply would be for WWII. It would make sense for defenders in prepared positions.
  2. Shouldn't this be in the General Forum?
  3. To make weapons available in scenarios with no vehicles present you could have a "supply depot" that contains the extra equipment and ammo that would normally be available to a particular unit and let the player equip his troops from it at setup. Once the game starts the depot would disappear. You could either have a standard load-out available or the scenario designer could pick and choose what is included.
  4. It's going to be easier to survive on the battlefield, but it's going to be tough watching your Sherman's shells veer off course like a quarterback throwing off his back foot.
  5. Steve, we want the sales numbers so we know how many others are out there like us. The higher the sales the more comfortable we feel about not being the geeks we know we really are.
  6. It's going to be hard to go back to WWII when tanks missed a lot.
  7. I once toured a B-24, but not a B-17. Another B-17 is supposed to be in the area in April, and I am really considering paying for a ride.
  8. I was walking to lunch with a coworker the other day when I first saw it. I heard the unusual sound so I was scanning the sky. When I saw it was a B-17 I was shouting, "hey, look, it's a B-17!!!" My coworker kept walking. I asked her if she saw the plane and she said, "yeah, it's a plane. I saw it." I tried to explain what it was that she saw, but she didn't care. Girls.
  9. There's been a B-17 buzzing around my neighborhood all afternoon. I saw it earlier in the week, too. It must be flying in and out of the Van Nuys airport. It sounds so cool. It looks like it's the Liberty Belle, visiting the Burbank airport for the weekend. http://libertyfoundation.org/images/gallery-b17details/photos-b17.html
  10. He didn't say that BFC can only do WWII well, but he was disappointed in Syria as the setting, said the game lacks the charm of the CMx1 games (all set in WWII), and he said he wants panzers. From that I infer he would prefer a WWII setting. But he doesn't elaborate. I also want WWII, but I wouldn't knock CMSF because it isn't WWII.
  11. That would suck. BFC should stick to direct sales if the retailers are going to screw them over like that. I hope the number of physical copies shipped is a relatively small percentage of overall sales.
  12. Don't you sell it to them for a certain price no matter what they sell it for?
  13. I think BFC makes the same amount off each game whether you pay $5.00 or $50.00. It's the retailer that is losing out on revenues.
  14. I guess his complaint is that it is not WWII.
  15. Vehicles do block enemy fire, whereas they did not in CMx1.
  16. I am playing a battle where every (at least 5 so far) BMP-3 has had several secondary catastrophic explosions after being knocked out.
  17. Please just please don't link to the file I posted. It is a huge file and my ISP will probably shoot me if it gets linked too many times.
  18. Maybe he felt my response was sufficient.
  19. It can be a challenge, though, to fight off an infantry assault with nothing but TOW missiles. But I find it pretty annoying too.
  20. I didn't really like the command delays, but I understand and appreciate their purpose. What I hated most was the added delay when ordering a vehicle to go down a road that had several small turns versus going down a straight road. The order is the same - go down that road. You might want to reduce the speed a little to negotiate the small turns, but the additional waypoints needed to avoid driving off the road shouldn't cause the driver to have to sit there for an extra minute or so.
