  1. Possibly your best chance of getting an answer to your question would be to email Rexford (Lorrin Bird) with your query. I'm assuming his email address is in his profile although I don't know it offhand. No-one comes close to him in terms of pure grogdom. Regards Jim R.
  2. Roger that. Reichmann out. Why do I get this feeling I'm in some sort of B grade war movie with this form speech?
  3. G'day John. I have sent you a confirmatory email. BTW, please call me Jim. Regards Jim R.
  4. The accuracy of guns in Combat Mission is very much a function of its muzzle velocity. Hence, you get greater accuracy, all things being equal, from a Honey tank with its higher muzzle velocity 37mm gun than you do from a Tiger with its 88L56 gun. That's basically how the game works with some minor tweaking at longer ranges due to the Germans generally superior optics. Regards Jim R.
  5. Did Rodger MacGowan model that Pommy with the balaklava on a young John Cleese? Just doesn't seem right. Regards Jim R.
  6. Michael...this is a Rumblings of War thread and not a Repetition of Wank one! Regards Jim R.
  7. I'm making an assumption here not having played that scenario but if you were the defender and had fortifications such as wire, roadblocks and minefields their point cost counts as casualties against your score. It's a bug with 1.03 of CMBB and it appears it wont be corrected by any subsequent patches. Regards Jim R.
  8. Well he could if he had a time machine and the ability to generate electricity when he's back there. Regards Jim R.
  9. Moon, I hope you got Madmatt to extract that definitive answer from Charles. It was his turn to run the gauntlet after all. Regards Jim R.
  10. I agree! Would be interesting to see how the CM "god" would perform when he doesn't get to cherry pick his forces. If he does decide to enter I want first dibs at being in his grouping. Regards Jim R.
  11. I'm with you on this Sergei as I seem to recall reading that the changes to airpower from CMBO to CMBB were that it would always turn up but could be delayed for various reasons. I'm assuming this part of the code from CMBB wasn't tampered with when CMAK was created. Regards Jim R.
  12. Adding comments to such a site might be useful but I can just see such an attribute being abused along the lines of "you bloody imbecile...I would never have moved that platoon of Shermans over that ridge because I'm a super CM god". If it could be kept abuse free and monitored to be for contructive comments only then it would be great. How you'd do this and who would have the time for it I've no idea. Regards Jim R.
  13. Is it just me that thinks that the big white star the Yanks used on their M10's was basically saying AIM HERE! to the Germans? Why not make it a gigantic crosshairs just to make it bleedin' obvious. What were they thinking! BTW, superb mods Gordon. Will look forward to downloading those when ready. Regards Jim R. 14. Hey Kitty! You're old punching bag by the name of Kiwi Joe has returned. How about challenging the self professed CM guru to another game to squash his ego just one more time for old times sake? Regards Jim R.
  15. Freakin' double post! [ January 29, 2004, 06:09 AM: Message edited by: Kanonier Reichmann ]
  16. It's an interesting contrast to the CMBB Soviet Maxim MG's which had virtually no hope against German halftracks and even when firing onto their sides it was extremely marginal even at close range (under 100 metres). I guess I'll have to be careful with halftracks again in CMAK. Regards Jim R.
  17. And let's not forget that John Kettler took the prize for the most entertaining AAR's by far! Regards Jim R.
  18. Alfatwosix wrote: The way that it reads it seems to be saying that De Gaule was the leader of the Vichy French puppet government! I'm sure you didn't mean that but just to set the record straight it was the former general of WW I fame, General <strike>Focker</strike> Foch who led the Vichy government. Regards Jim R.
