  1. Thanks for that. We have the next scenario ready to go just in case things pick back up. For now we wait.
  2. Oh dear... The Wine God has dropped the mother of all hints on me. Better get my butt in gear...
  3. Bumping this one back up to the top. Still haven't heard from Cyberfox. I know von Lucke is still playing, but what about the others? Do we still continue with CMBB, or switch over to CMAK? What's the scoop, troop?
  4. Something went wrong with the download if all you got were operations. There are close to two dozen scenarios in the pack. You can either try to download the pack again, or e-mail me the list of what you did get. I can send you the rest.
  5. The second listing looks way off. The '44 rifle squad in CMBO was similar (one less K98) and had a FP rating of 161 at 40 meters.
  6. Manstein22, In the work around I mentioned each scenario is really a stand alone battle, even though they share the same map, forces, etc. That is one of the drawbacks of doing it this way. However, what you lose in continuity (if thats the proper word) you gain in creative freedom. You could factor in projected losses, resupply, shifts in the front line, etc. into each new scenario. If anything, it gives the players a new look at Operations.
  7. One possible work around is to make it a series of connected battles, rather than as an Op. This can be done by creating one map, then making one copy for each battle. You can then go in and customize each scenario in ways not possible in an Op. Want to bring in forces from the flank in the second battle? No problem. Airborne units dropping behind enemy lines in battle #4? Again, no problem. Fortifications breached and removed? Can be done. Granted, it creates more work for you, as you are in effect creating all new scenarios (minus the map), but also gives you much greater freedom to tailor each scenario exactly to your liking.
  8. Did you check to make sure the cruisers involved were the 6" variety and not 8"? Michael </font>

  10. The original beta version did not have the arty, but instead featured a company of Matildas as reinforcements. Fortunately, I was able to convince Rune that the Matildas weren't at Gela, and instead to put in heavy arty to represent the Naval support. Just another example of the hard work and attention to detail that is the hallmark of the beta test team.

  12. Just wanted to say this is one of the best urban maps I've seen. Clearly a lot of time and research went into it, and it shows. I've just sent my opponent my orders for T-3, so its way too early to tell how it plays, but so far the map, force selections and briefings are top notch.
  13. There is one already on the CD. Check out 'For the family honor'
  14. You have misunderstood the command. Pause only affects commands that involve movement.
  15. Michael, If possible, can you e-mail me the Op? I have an opponent whom is interested in testing it out. My address is in my profile. Thanks
  16. A few pics of the fort here And another one here
  17. The Cromwell wasn't deployed to Italy, nor the far east. AFAIK, only the British and Polish armored divisions in NWE used Cromwells. Edit: check out the first paragraph of this link [ January 01, 2004, 09:20 AM: Message edited by: Kingfish ]
  18. IIRC, One was used to guard a seaside amusment park near Hollywood, CA. It actually got into a long range gun duel with a Japanese sub. Unfortunately, the wooden pier it was defending from took a hit, and the tank dropped into the sea.
  19. Looking for an opponent to test this one out via pbem. Send me a setup, your choice of sides. Address is in my profile.
  20. Not sure of the scale, but maybe this will help
  21. Given the size of the map, and the dust clouds thrown up by so many vehicles, how could surprise be achieved even if the guns don't fire for XX turns?
  22. Leap frog your Australian infantry forward, while your Matildas provide covering fire.
