Why is it saved as a tourney version in the first palced? I have the same problem I don't get to pick sided. But oh well.

yo Subvet, Yea I am the ooponent. Like he was saying, this bug is terrible. I can't finnsh a single game. The last time I fiinshed a TCP/IP game was in MAY!!! But I don't play that often either. Maybe once a week. Still it the worst bug ever! What I've noticed though is I don't have to catch prisoners. Somethimes it happens. I alse noticed it happens mostly on the later turns like 20 and up. BTS better fix this because I aint the only one with this problem. I have heard the same story from so many people I can't even count them anymore. It is quite frustrating when you can't finnish your tcp/ip games.

I feel your pain Maximu, that's terrible terrain and trees and road and everything alse. Nice job with the Marder though.

They did fight to the last man and resist stubornly, but their tactics were primitive and still lacked radios. The Germans didn't expect the kind of resistence the Russians put up. The Germans were use to quick surrenders as on the western front and such. Yes the russians were a tough bunchm they held out as long as humanly possibly, other times they ran at the first sign of a tank. The level of defense varied all over the fronts.

Well most of this was true till mid 1943. By 1943 the soviets improved there tactics their C&C and others aspects. The Soviets recieved thousands of radios for their tanks, from the allies as part of Lend-Lease. So yes, 1941-1943(about June) the russians were still improving their C&C and tactics. They still had a long way to go as all of this is concerned. But they made good. By 1944 the soviet army was nothing like it was in 1941. It was totally different dynamic army, free of movement and it's generals had independce of thinking. Still Stalin had a word, but he let his commanders "try" to convince him, show themselves in battle. If they succeded, Stalin loosend his grip. By 1944 the Russian tactics were very dynamic and more flexible, tactically and strategicly. No more did the soviets try to reach for huge and impossible goals, i.e encircle Army Group south in the dniper bend or Kharkov, in a single operation. They Learned from their mistakes and improved upon them. When Operation Bagration came along June 22nd 1944. The Soviet army fielded 2.5 milion troops opposite the south of Army group centre and attacked. They broke the German deffenders and ahnilated or severly mauled the German divison in the Centre. The attack was launched from the Pripet marshes. This shows the soviet ability for improvasaiton and flexibility. Hope this clears it up a bit.

I say Tiger should take the mods with him, imidiately. Like I said I don't blame him one bit for leaving. Some people don't care if you take the mods or not other want you to leave them. some say you are worse than anyone alse for wanting the mods of the sites. But I say take them off. Maybe, just maybe some people will think twice, but that is doubtfull. Good luck, Tiger!

I don't blame tiger a bit. I don't think he left becuase of that one incident. People have been flming him before. For the mods he put out. some smart alec always came along and said the mods sucked an so and so. Tiger tried to improve it, but some people keep b*tching at him telling him the mods were poor. Most of the people saying this to tiger didn't even create mods. He got pissed and left and stopped doing mods. So when the "blood" thread came around I think thats what finnaly made him leave. that was the final straw, IMO. I don't blame ya Tiger. I don't have a problem with people DISCUSSING certain points of a topic. but some get carrid away and let their ego's fly and start calling other names.

You people need a fvcking life, go argue with your wife, girlfriend or your dog for that matter. Here we go again, the same ol' people arguing over the most insignificant subject. They spend and hour typing a post, trying to figure out how to make use of english words from the 1200's. They don't argue for the sake of the subject whatever the subject is, but try to make their post the most insulting to others. Note that most of these people are over 30 years old, yet they enganage in the dumbess debates and beat them to death, just like this one. They find the littlest and insignificant point in a post and argue over that, like it matters. And to top it off, they are sensitive as hell. Anything to do with blood or sex they start saying it's a discrase to WWII veterans, like those idiotic hamsters are not. Even though blood was, I dare to say it (LOL), part of WWII! I may spend my time here to, but I am way younger, and can afford. I don't have a wife or kids or a "real" job that I got to 8-6pm. (I do have a job but only weekends as I have college during the day, nope it aint fast food, thank god.) These people have full time jobs and wifes, yet they still spend at least 2-4 hours on this board a day arguaing over the dumbess and most simplistic topic. It's the same people over and over, it's getting old.

I also agree. It seems that some people here LOVE to argue and take the opposite side on purpose just to piss people off. it's freakin redicilous and getting old real fast. Manx had the same problem, some idiot Grog though he was so smart wanted Manx to shut his site down becuase some mods or scenarios were not historicly accurate. This is just sad. I betting that in no time we'll have one of these morons in here any minute calling US idiots and ignorant morons and what not. I just want to see who the first is. I don't care if Tiger left, that his problem, but I have a problem with people just arguing for the sake of an arguament. That pisses me off, when people want to argue to piss others off, even concerning the most basic and idiotic thing.

Hi, Sorry to intrude on your party guys, I really enjoye reading these AAR's. I have a question. Do you just set up quick battles and pick your forces or are the maps pre-made by treeburst or some one alse. Ii seems he makes them and he places the forces and poeple battle it out. Am I right. Or does treeburst make the map and the opponents pick the forces? Or is this simply a QB battle? Thanx for clarification! I wish I could of have been part of this tournament, although not the legal drinking age, I am sure my father would enjoye the wine.

Deanco is right, IMO the hamsters are the biggest disrespectfull thing ever made for CM. To me that mod is laughing in the face of WWII veterans. That mod is saying "you were all mindless animals". I found the hamster crap the most disturbing and people liking it was even more disturbing. I don't care what happens, if BTS does allow for dead bodies to be moded or not, I don't give a crap. Basicly this comes down to being ablle to choose what you want. Don't like don't use. Simple as that.

WTF does it matter if you add blood or not. Tiger want to be able to MOD it that is all. If you don't want the mod than don't get it. simple as that. I do not see the harm in moding little red dots on a soldier or an arm torn off. It's reality or something like that. Do you people get this pissed when you watch a war movie and guy is shot and you see the blood. Damn I can just imagine some of you at the theaters screaming "that is disrespectfull to the real veterans, how dare they put blood in that movie". Damn, must of been terrible for some of you to watch SPR. This is ridicilous, people arguing over if there should or should not be blood in the game. It's just a game, remember that.

I think I'll try it sometime, sounds like a good plan. When CM2 comes buy the Russians will have masses of arty which will be hard to counter as the Germans. The Russian arty isn't to flexible but once it starts going the Germans are in a world of hurt.

Well I think I will se my killies back soon since this operation has 2 battles a day, 1 day battle 1 night. I hope I get them next battle.
