  1. Not neccesarily. For a variety of reasons, not everyone ever gets the shipment confirmation email. Apparently the emails were being sent out without a proper Subject field filled out but I have requested that the warehouse use one from now on. With some ISP's and email systems, those emails were getting deleted as SPAM. Madmatt
  2. I am looking into this CDV version issue since I nor any of my testers can seem to replicate it with the original BFC version. I heard from a few Finns last week that were encountering a similar issue so we will continue to collect all the data we can to pin down what the problem might be. There should not be any difference between the CDV version and ours, but then anything is possible. Madmatt
  3. By the way, Gails HUSBAND might have something to say about all of this. As to emails going unanswered, Gail and the the warehouse staff have been busting their asses all week to get all the pre-orders and new orders shipped out, and I might hasten to add days EARLIER than planned. So I kinda doubt replying back to emailes is her #1 priority at the moment yet I know for a fact she has been doing that as well and putting in some really long hours. Rest assured, if there is a problem with someones order, we will get it fixed, you should all know that by now, so just be patient, chill out a bit and everything will work out in the end. Madmatt
  4. We get alot of order and shipment amd customer query answered emails returned for all sorts of reasons, mailboxes over qutoas, typos in the original addresses or peoples ISP that for whatever reason think we are sending spam. We do make every effort to contact people with the info they need to the best of our abilities. And hey Panzertruppe, if thats going to be your attitude, help yourself to a warm glass of "shut the hell up!" Hopefully your post was in jest, as is mine, but if it wasn't well then neither was mine. Madmatt
  5. Thats the Italian symbol for their armed forces as I recall. Steve dug that up although I personally never liked it. It was the same in CMBB. Madmatt
  6. I have asked her to add an appropriate subject field to those emails and to try and use the sales account when sending them out. We are not the only customer which that warehouse works for but we are the biggest and Gail is VERY good at working with us on issues. By the way, she just got the following reply to a order confirmation. "Gail, will you marry me" Cute...but don't make her mad! That woman is sitting on thousands of copies of CMAK and I wouldn't want to anger her. Madmatt
  7. Alt Tab always works, the alt-****f-; toggle turns on the Escape key function. Madmatt
  8. Shipment confirmation emails are something the warehouse began doing a few months ago. Madmatt
  9. Gail is our contact at the warehouse and is responsible for reading and sending emails from the sales account. She may on occasion email customers from her own companies email account. The emails are indeed real and shipping confirmations are something we started doing on orders a few months ago. Madmatt
  10. Ted, sounds like you tried everything I would have thought to do. At this point, the next logical step is to get you a replacement. Contact sales as directed above and be sure and let them know that I already worked with you on this issue otherwise they may have you try the same stuff again. Madmatt
  11. At this time, we have no plans to add any additional vehicles or models in a CMAK patch. If we do decide to change that position, the Mk 1 is one that I would personally like to see benefit from a new model. As to its useage, well someone more Groggy than me will need to comment. Madmatt
  12. Alt Shift ; Held together toggles this function on and off. Madmatt
  13. Yes, it is not uncommon for some CD drives to take close to (if not more) than 10 minutes to fully spin up and access the CD. Seems some drives do this on CD's with as much data as CMAK (just a tad over 650 megs). If it looks like the system is locked up, just sit back, be patient and wait, that seems to do the trick. Madmatt
  14. The phrase "senile old farts" comes to mind but since I can't stand to hear John and redwolf and Joe and you others running around and begging for me to change it, I have put it back to how it was... Where would the world be without my care and consideration???? Madmatt
  15. What was the exact error message? Are you on the BFC or CDV version of CMAK? What about your opponent? Can you reliably replicate the problem even with different battles? What happens when your opponent hosts the game, or vice versa? Madmatt
  16. And you switched to the folder *while* the installer was attempting to run as I said above? By the way, how much space is available on your hard drive? You will need at least 2.1 gigs free in order to install. If all else fails, contact sales@battlefront.com, tell them Matt sent you and you need a new replacement disc. Madmatt
  17. Basically I reduced the font size just to piss John off. Madmatt
  18. While that error is still on your screen, alt-tab out of the installer screen and manually browse to the install location. What files do you show there? Madmatt
  19. Before you contact sales asking for a replacement BE SURE and read through the full troubleshooting guide as I cover a lot of common install issues which can be easily fixed. http://www.battlefront.com/products/cmak/troubleshooting.html Madmatt
  20. I have just updated the CMAK Troubleshooting Guide with new info and workarounds regarding common installation issues some people have reported. CMAK is shipped on a disc with over 650 megs of data and some CD/DVD drives can have problems accessing such a large amount of data, but normally just being patient is enough to allow the drive to finally access the disc. With some drives, I have seen it take upwards of 10 minutes to finally see the disc, during which the computer would appear to be frozen but in fact the CD/DVD drive is scanning the disc. Be sure to check out the guide below for other common problems and fixes. http://www.battlefront.com/products/cmak/troubleshooting.html Madmatt [ December 05, 2003, 10:23 AM: Message edited by: Madmatt ]
  21. Actually, you should use the file linked in the troubleshooting guide as now its updated with better CMAK and CMBB support and you shouldn't have to rename the files anymore. http://www.battlefront.com/misc/Radeon_text_fix.zip Madmatt
  22. K. Lad, if it says Openplay.dll is not found than the installation is not complete. Also its not dozens of waves files you should have but THOUSANDS. Try and copy the complete Setup.exe file off the CD to your computer first, make sure you have at least 2 gigs free on your hard drive and then run it. Madmatt
  23. And thats a really great scenario as well! One of my favorites at this time! Madmatt
  24. If it makes you feel any better, I helped to MAKE the damn thing and I haven't gotten my production copy yet either... Madmatt
  25. You should have 2833 waves in the Wav folder so you are missing some it seems. Looks like you are missing some Polish and all of the New Zealander speach files. If you can access the COMMON.exe file, it is a normal winrar archive you should be able to open manaully and try and extract those files. Madmatt
