  1. I thought that I was "very close" to viewing them.
  2. I'm getting a video not available message with all 3 links.
  3. I wasn't trying to be anal or show off my low grade OCD....I just didn't want someone pulling their hair out searching for a file that doesn't exist.
  4. That appears to be the case with CMRT. The other titles don't appear to have a problem moving saved copies from before the patch to the patched version. But there seems to have been something that changed significantly with CMRT that causes a conflict with previous versions (my guess would be a TO&E change/conflict). I have a PBEM with Peng and we're about a third of the way into a long battle and I'm in the same boat. Our CMFB game advanced just fine. While it doesn't happen often that patching a game can't advance pre-patched saves it isn't unprecedented. The 2 options are: 1) Install a non-patched version and run with 2 installed versions until you've completed the battle(s) 2) Revert the version to the pre-patch version and then patch up when the battle is finished. To revert your version, simply re-install the 4.0 Upgrade.
  5. In your 4.0 link you will see 4 download options. 2 Mac and 2 Windows. for each platform one is just the 4.0 Upgrade and the other is the full game installer.
  6. Every game using the Game Engine 4 (and 3 for CMBN) have all-in-one full game installers which install everything through the most recent patch. Never drive yourself nuts with the step by step installation again.
  7. Here is a link to an article about Error 501. It should be helpful https://battlefront.mojohelpdesk.com/help/article/128015
  8. Thanks, Frenchy56. This has been confirmed internally and a formal bug report has been filed. Thanks again.
  9. There is no charge for the patches. If you are referring to the 4.0 Upgrade it will be required for future modules and not included with the modules.
  10. Oops.... Double checking and reporting. Thanks for the catch.
  11. Yeah. It will be a few days probably. I had the choice of assembling a list something and then releasing or releasing right away. Perhaps I made the wrong choice?
  12. My memory is very blurry on the "why" but that does sound right(ish).
  13. Not yet but the will soon. The builds are ready and are on the servers. They have be setup to replace the existing links in everyone's account. If you purchase something private message me your order number and I will give you a link. Otherwise use the current download link and add the patch. Not as cool but still beats the heck out of the old step by step installation.
  14. They shouldn't. What you do is open the PBEM in the pre-patched version. During the plot/command phase save the game. The apply the patch and opened the saved PBEM game and finish your PBEM turn. If your opponent has the patch installed you will be able to proceed. If not they will need to apply the patch and then move the game forward.
  15. Hee hee.....Next time there is a release of some kind toward the end I will just make a 2 word post with no explanation "very close". And everyone who saw this will know exactly what I mean.
  16. I'm not sure if it is documented anywhere. I remember the first time I got a ticket for it on the Help Desk, years and years ago. I pulled my hair out for days before finally asking Martin about it. He told me that is what he thought it was and added "but who would not know they shouldn't do that?" My reply to him was something like "um....everyone? Who would know it would cause a problem is the bigger question". It has been an extremely long time since I've had a ticket on it (I remember it easy enough because of my exchange with Martin at the time) but, now that I have access to do it, I will create a Knowledgebase article about it.
  17. HHmmm...There was nothing new released for CMSF2. The infinite loop happens when the download is run from the only place on your computer that will cause a problem. Inside the game's main directory. Move the download to any location (I normally just use the Downloads folder) and run it again.
  18. Yup. Definitely. Wherever you have that installer pointed is where the new exe and brz files will be placed.
  19. Both. CMBN is the only one of them that has the Documents folder as the default installation location. All of the others have theirs in directory in Program Files x86 If you installed it somewhere then definitely point it to your installation.
  20. You have no idea how close you came to being wrong about this.
  21. I didn't have nearly as much fun with that as I should have. I should have said something like "I know we have missed deadlines before but I promise they will be out in May 2019" And then let that sit there for the last half hour that I finished things up.
  22. The highly anticipated patch for the 4.0 Upgrade is now available for Combat Mission games Battle for Normandy, Red Thunder, Fortress Italy, Final Blitzkrieg and Black Sea patches are all available for download.
