  1. I didn't do anything to adjust mine. It may be that those things can't be done to Admin accounts.
  2. Like and Upvote are pretty much the same. While poking around yesterday I saw that there were a lot of those kinds of things that can be enabled. I chose to only add the "Thanks" one because often someone will ask a question and someone else will give them the answer......So, I thought that was nice. I'm not interested in enabling any of the negative ones. I like to think of this forum as a happy place.
  3. The back end system is showing that it's still recreating the previous ranks and such but looking around the forum it seems to have finished. I've played around with the rank icons and I think I'll stick with what is currently up.
  4. The member numbers haven't been displayed in years. Like a lot of years ago. They were replaced by the "Joined" dates. I think that I was member number 134. There are over 40,000 members now. I was proud of my number and bummed when it stopped being displayed. The funny thing that I remember about the numbers was that Steve was like number 23. I always thought "who were the 22 people that joined before him?
  5. I'm rebuilding the data now. I'm told the process may take days to complete. We'll see what we have after that.
  6. I'll take a look. A lot of the controls aren't intuitive. If you ever need help changing a link or somefink drop me a note and I can take of it.
  7. Yeah. They had a big upgrade yesterday. I intentionally clicked the button to not change reputation points and stuff like that.....It must have been one of those buttons you click that get ignored. There are also badges, achievements and things like that that can be enabled. I wanted to look into them deeper before turning them on. I'm not sure how someone who has had an account for close to 22 years can be a Junior Member. Steve is Junior Member now too. I plan on spending time today gathering a list of grievances before contacting them.
  8. I don't know if I would describe it as "sitting on it". This is our first Steam patch. I have no idea of what happens between when we send it to Slitherine and when it goes on Steam. Slitherine could very well be testing what we sent them, as we test our "Battlefront" patches. They had asked us for updates on it before we sent it to them......so I don't think "sitting on it" (which I take as letting it sit in a virtual corner untouched) is how I would describe it. My post was only meant to say that we've completed our part of the process.
  9. Nope. This is our first patch that will be released through Steam. Automatic patching is still a Steam thing. Faster patching is something different. We send it off and it's out of our hands.
  10. The artwork is done for the DVD sleeve. Wanna see it or be surprised? (Actually...regardless of your answer I probably won't post it before it ships. But I heard a rumor that Bil wants to make a poster out of it. )
  11. Do you mean the physical disk or the download? If you mean the disk they will go out once the new PBEM system is finished. That should be around the same time as the Steam release.
  12. All CM demos have have full PBEM functionality (although you can only play demo vs demo). The Cold War demo will be no different. It will come with the new PBEM++ system attached to it. Which means that it will not be available until sometime after the Steam version is released.
  13. I download them to my Downloads folder. There is no need to download a patch anywhere near the game's directory. Then when running it the patch will install to the default installation location unless you "point" it somewhere else.
  14. You can try saving during the plot phase and see if it continues after installing the patch. If it doesn't then open a Help Desk ticket and I'll get you reverted back so that you can finish the campaign if you want) before patching.
  15. There is quite a long list of fixes in this patch: INFANTRY WEAPONS * The M72 LAW and RPG-18 are now stored with tube collapsed when on a soldier's back. * The M47 Dragon can now successfully guide missiles through smoke (it had a guidance system that allowed this, unlike TOWs of the time). 16. Here's what the points are in the patch: Attack: Attacker 22,500 Defender 13,540 Probe : Attacker 21,604 Defender 14,436 Assault: Attacker 23,396 Defender 12,644 Meeting Engagement : Both sides 18,020
  17. The Steam patch will be available very soon. It's already been made and delivered. Since it's our first Steam patch we don't know how long it takes from sending it over until it's release. I imagine everything goes through a process for Steam. Whereas we have the ability to say "it's done. Release it now". We'll all learn something with this.
  18. Surprise! Anyone see this coming? The v2.16 patch can be downloaded now here Here are some of things that the patch brings: ART AND MODELS * Corrections to BTR-70 and -70K vehicle dimensions: it is now smaller. USER INTERFACE * MT-12 and SPG-9 teams now use a more appropriate floating icon. * MT-LBM and MT-LBU 1V14 vehicles now use a more appropriate floating icon. * BRDM-2 vehicles now use a more appropriate floating icon. BUG FIXES * FIXED: Under certain circumstances, the ability to choose between different vehicle types in the editor could cease to function. * FIXED: Correct desktop tray icon was not appearing. * FIXED: An issue that could cause save game corruption from playing in TCP/IP Turn-Based mode.
  19. Exactly as mjkerner below you said (and as I said in my first reply). Have a unit that should have nearly unlimited LOS draw a target line and see how far out it goes. That will give you an idea of how far out your should expect to see through the darkness/fog/blizzard/etc. That's what I thought the OP meant when he was asking about visibility.
  20. Correct. Or....if you're installed through v2.01 Game Engine 4: 1) Download and install 2.11 patch 2) Activate the game using the Activate New Products desktop utility.
  21. Nope. The current full game download is patched up.
  22. It's funny. I thought this was what he was asking in the OP. That's what my reply was based on. "How far can I see in this fog/rain/night". It's something that I check the first turn. It lets me know the maximum distance that I expect to be able to see in the battle.
  23. There are 2 ways to gift someone the game. Here is what I guess is the "official" way: https://battlefront.mojohelpdesk.com/help/article/127848 Which is pretty much what you're already saying. The other way to pay us through PayPal and, once the payment is confirmed, I generate a Gift Certificate that your friend can use to purchase the game in his own account. Drop me a PM or open a Help Desk ticket for the details.
