  1. I'd add the following photo-journals, both by Concord: Journal of Armored Assault & Heliborne Warfare, & Special Ops. Journal of the Elite Forces & Swat Units. In particular, pick up Special Ops No 30, which provides an article on the Intirim Stryker Brigade.
  2. Can one squaddy 'run away'? I think that'd be a very good indicator of that soldier's morale state.
  3. btw I'll have to point out that my previous post was tasteless, but that's OK because my humour rating is 'Shock Jock' and thus I'm well qualified.
  4. While it's a terrible thing to do to the unwilling, I think I'd personally enjoy that. *takes off clothing, then dons a hood* *waits* *waits some more* *waits a bit longer* err...any young women pointing at me yet? I can't see out of this mask!
  5. Can't speak for you but I'm just as happy talking about the effectiveness of a Bushmaster 25mm rounds vs a T55 as I am talking about the effectiveness of a Pak37 round on a BT7, and I think others here would be as well. Besides a large proportion of the weapons systems that will appear in CMSF have been already proven in combat (GW1, OIF), so most of our discussion will be about how well CMSF replicates their 'real life' behaviour. btw IIRC a 1st AD Bradley penetrated the frontal armour of a T55 with M919 25mm rounds during GW1.
  6. I'll agree with Michael here. The only way to correctly simulate tactical combat is to be exact and precise with the modelling as much as possible, no matter the number of variables required to simulate combat. Fortunately, the CPU can take all the drudge out of the calculations reguired for that level of accuracy, and that's why Computer PC wargaming is probably at the forefront of wargaming in general.
  7. Find your own camel. Should be plenty of them around where you are?!
  8. Wow, followed he T to template mD.... oh, never mind.
  9. I'll have you know that Steve happens to mention my name frequently in the beta forums. That it happens to be mentioned along with 'idiot', 'ar*ehole', and 'completely feckin' useless' is however besides the point.
  10. Good. ...and reading the beer label can be considered educational?
  11. Well it does depend on how many drinks I've had. *shrugs*
  12. Awwwwww. Let's give him a big hug to show how much we care.
  13. Here's some more maps: Syrian 1:100000 Topographical maps Unfortunately maps aren't available for all of Syria, but at least it seems to include those of the most populated centres, including Damascus.
  14. Yes yes, great respect, whatever. Now go start a new MBT thread, it's about your turn.
  15. Perhaps you should sign up for Gyrene's forum: www.dosomefink.com? Hey wait on a minute. See this: *displays shoulder patch* It says 'Sheep shag...' oh wait, wrong shoulder It says 'Seniour Kinniget' It's you who should be amusing me and sending ME a setup. And don't be using your Defence sponsored Tactics 'wat you learnt in the military' on me because that would be gamey!
  16. I think theirs, if any, pales to insignificance when compared to your own level of whinging, Pheasant Plucker. Would you believe quite a few us actually want to see this game? The again, I want to see what the CMx2 system offers in it's entirely and look forward to future modules as well.
  17. IIRC The Stryker is one generation further out in the development path that started with the Canadian Bison. Auslav is 2nd generation. Also I believe the Infantry carrier version of the Stryker is slightly larger than the Auslav and can carry more troops (9 men, as opposed to 6, latter to be confirmed). As for an Aussie Mod, I guess if we can convince Rob, who works for the Australian Defence Simulation Office, that its development is worth taxpayer's money and a benefit to Army training then we may get to see an Aussie module.
  18. Years of government service has honed the mongrel in me, and since you publically aired the one thing really annoying you at the moment, I went for the jugular (as a good government worker does) Well if RR ever brings you down here, allow me to buy you that first drink, and we'll toast US/Aussie fiendship (r left out intentionally) together. cheers, mate.
  19. Yep, put me on the Happy list (although I'm also looking forward to the subsequent WW2 release as well). Fegg it, I'm easily pleased.
