1. I tend to agree. The only documented cases I've read have been acts of desperation: Firefly vs King Tiger in Normandy, and T34/76 C vs Tiger during Kursk. In both cases IIRC the rammers had suffered some sort of damage that prevented them from firing, and in the case of the T34 the majority of the crew had already bailed, the tank was on fire, and the driver obviously was sick of living. After the ramming all involved AFVs were no longer in battle worthy conditions.
2. Then wtf are you doing here? Btw it's always great to have one of the old-uns' post here, especially after an extended absence.
3. And the world celebrates as Axe is left speechless. Perhaps, the world wonders, this will be a permanent condition?!
4. I'm still playing Sabbath Bloody Sabbath! Glamour trip so soon to slip Easy come but oh how quick it goes Ten foot tall but what to fall Hard to open yet so easy to close Front page news but so abused You just want to hide yourself away Over-paid, but soon you fade Because you're only looking for today Looking for today Fairy boots indeed! *HARUMPH*

6. That's sort of like: Which one's the better of the two: poo or feces? Answer: Neither. They both stink to High heaven (and so do those two songs).
7. It's an issue about how a beauracracy works. Someone in the German tank procurement arm made the decision that a new version (Ausf) for the Panzer IV would be registered and a production order issued, even if the specifications between the new version and older differed only slightly. Of course the Ausf G had changes made during it's life time (I only gave the initial changes between the F2 and the G) The full changes during the lifetime of the Ausf G included: i) Vision ports deleted ii) Different muzzle break (1942) iii) repositioning of smoke dischargers (1942) iv) Schurzen (1943) v) new format, drive and rear sprocket (mid 1943) vi) relocation of radio antenna In addition, as mentioned above some G's had bolted armour applied to the hull front. Obviously, Battlefront thought that enough difference existed between the two versions to justify both their inclusions in the game.
8. So how much do you pay them? $20 a head? And you post FIVE TIMES more than we want you to.
9. The F2 was almost identical to the F1 but featured a longer 75mm (L43 c/w L24) and minor changes to ammunition storage. However, some of the vision ports from the turret sides and the vision port on the loader's side of the turret front were dropped in the G version. So the differences between the F2 and G are noticeable. [ September 12, 2005, 03:42 AM: Message edited by: Mace ]
10. The only mention of a 25 pdr portee I've found is here. It mentions the: Ford Portee - 25-pdr based on Ford 3-ton 4x4 chassis.
11. Andreas getting hitched huh? We'll here's to a long and happy marriage for both.
12. Let's see. Who knows Elvis? Actually, who admits to knowing Elvis? Hmmmm Peng, but he's married. Hiram? Don't tell us Hiram and Moraine are getting hitched?!!! Crikey.
13. Noba, You'll keep. Especially if the Weagles fail at this year's grand final. Then you won't know what hit you. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... *wipes away a bit of evil laugh spittle from the corner of his mouth*..AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
14. Yeh it is nice. However the highlite is raising the expectations of assistance to members of the public, only to dash it by telling them they have to complete in Swahili a phone-book size application form. Of course, any error made invalidates the application, and requires them to redo the application along with a 'I made an error' form. I love that!
15. *sniff sniff* Why do I smell stale porridge? Oh! It's OGSFABCD
16. Right! This is a travesty and thus we're left with no choice but to hold a hearing! Call for the judge, but especially call for the stenographers!!!! Let's see, if I sit here...and the stenographers bend over to set up there...I should be in a prime viewing position!
17. Hey, I'm frugal!* * Aussie for tight b*stard.
18. So let's see....this suggests that the variation between height elements is 1m....so the map builder nominates the contours (which vary by 1m each) and the CMx2 terrain engine then renders the slope in 3D between each. Taking this further, rather than nominating a 'height per tile' as per the CMx1 engine, the map builder simply draws in the 1m contours using the 2d map editor? If so this would be done by a free hand vector? Which of course leads to another question......if there are contours of 1m variation, What's the minimum distance between contours allowed in the system? [edited to add...reading above it looks like the minimum is 1m per 1mx1m 'tile' so that's a slope of 45 degrees maximum?) OOOOH. With all the possibilities I think I just wet my pants as well. Must ask Mord for that depend back.
19. ...and I'll help make sure that there's a round in every chamber, because basically that's the type of helpful chap I am.
20. Speak for yourself pal. I ain't heard no complaints lately!
21. No you daft nong bastage! Read what Peng said! He's a bloody pod! Ergo, he (and his twin sister) looks like a giant green corn cob with legs and arms! And clean that slobber up!!!!
22. I'd just like the opportunity to mention "football", "soccer", and "footie" just to show my healthy disrespect for authority. Thankewe.
23. Couldn't be bothered, so I watched them win instead. Wonder if we'll get to stuff that Eagle again?
