bodkin
One thing I would like to ask you, now we are talking about the necessity of knowing a certain point in time, albeit this knowledge won't bring you anything merely tangible: If you are ever so unlucky having to take the bus, do you look at the timetable on the bus stop (supposing your country has them)? I always find that a remarkable thing, people looking at the bus timetables even if they have not other option then taking the next bus and waiting in the same bus stop. 'Knowing' when something will come upon which you have no influence, won't make the wait any shorter. On top of that you are only more frustrated when said bus won't be in time according to schedule. Hence, the sorrow times I ride the bus I tend not to look at the timetable. Happily not knowing when the pool of misery will arrive to pick me up Similarly I don't really try to care about when CM:N is released. One day it will happen and it will be a nice surprise that day. Any energy invested thrilling myself about something to come is better invested in something I have in hand That way I can't really be disappointed either about any delays. A philosophical and poetic post that now has me doubting the point of my existence. I've never heard of commuter transport being called 'the pool of misery', nice.
lomir
From www.aviationweek.com on 2/16/2010: JSF - 13-Month Delay Is Official. Two official sources have now confirmed that initial operational test and evaluation of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter will not be completed before November 2015, 13 months later than the previous schedule. Subtle. That one before was an extremely subtle comment. Punks.
Migo441
There is some comfort in the wisdom of Lethaface: 'Knowing' when something will come upon which you have no influence, won't make the wait any shorter. It's true. However, if we extend the analogy, it turns out that I'm at a bus stop where the posted schedule says, "Next Bus = When it's Ready." Now I'm frustrated AND feel like a moron for waiting at such a stop. But I suppose at some point the schedule will be updated to read, "Next Bus = 90-120 Days from <date posted> (probably)." and that will be comforting. For now, I'm left with the conjecture and dour mutterings of the others at the stop. But there are limits to analogies. In the case of CM:N, when the buses finally do start running, at least you can't "miss" one, i.e., they will be leaving the station every instant.
LuckyDog
The lack of information on a release date is all a rather clever plan on the part of Battlefront. If we know when it is, then some people will check out until that date, leave the forum - the community will be less active and less attractive for new comers and returnees. If we don't know, we stay active (admittedly somewhat disgruntled at leathaface's rainy bus stop), keep the community together, provide suggestions and probably will buy the instant CM:N comes out. So we either don't mention the release date again (or the war ) or suck it up.

Lethaface
Don't look at the timetables! it's a scheme to turn people into mind numb zombies! I will silence myself before this thing goes out of hand Talking about schemes I just saw CCTV footage of the suspected murderers of this Hamas figure in Dubai. Some **** the dubai intelligence pulled of there. First time I have seen special operatives during a mission being unmasked like this. I am intrigued what will come out of this. And while the world keeps spinning, there is STILL no news about CM:N

noxnoctum
Meh, I recently got obsessively into IL-2, so I've got that to keep me occupied. So actually I hope they take a really long time, so that they can polish it up and have a great QB system and avoid another botched release ala CMSF. Check it out btw if you're remotely into combat flight simulators.
Lethaface
IL-2, isn't that the game I picked up from the bargain bin 5 years ago?
