Sergei
By the way, by court's decision this is legal in Germany: I'm sure that Seanachai is delighted.
Cpl Steiner
Calm down everyone, has no-one here ever watched "The Producers"! You don't tackle Fascism by banning its symbols. You tackle it by confronting it head on and ridiculing it. Let's all lighten up, please.
Elmar Bijlsma
Calm down? I don't think anyone isn't calm. Tackling fascism is hardly the point. Public perception is. In the age of the soundbyte, it's just not wise to joke around like that.
MeatEtr
All the European released stuff was de-Nazified because CDV is a German company. They couldn't warehouse the product in Germany if it had naughty bits in it. Therefore, it didn't matter where you bought it within CDV's European territory. I can't remember if CDV USA used the de-Nazified version or not. Probably did. Battlefront's product, on the other hand, was brimming with full National Socialist love of evil symbols. Heck, we even put on the box "Battlefront explicitly endorses the views and policies of the NSDAP and denies the Holocaust. A portion of the sale of this product will go to help rebuilding the Chicago Nazi Party, which is still recovering from the Untermenschen Blues Brothers' cowardly attack funded by homosexual Communist Jewish bankers." In fact, it was BF.C policy that after each post on this Form that posters were supposed to say Heil Hitler or have their accounts "resettled". However our requests never caught on, like arguing about Bren Tripods, so we eventually gave up on it. So I guess the German government is right... a correct and appropriate historical use of relevant Nazi symbols does indeed make you lose touch with reality and have an irresistable urge to invade Poland. Steve For the love of beer, aren't you suppose to be working on the next Normandy bone Steve? Hopefully this time with more meat on it. We'll forgive you for no info this time, in order to rest your carpal tunnel syndrome hands. We'll just take more screenies please! I'll even buy ya a beer, hows that grab ya? ENJOY!
Battlefront.com
Elmar, Public perception is. In the age of the soundbyte, it's just not wise to joke around like that. It's not wise to make wargames either, yet I do that as well Seriously though, freaks, morons, whackos, psychos, axe grinders, and even a couple of legit neo-nazis and more than a few who think the Soviet Union was just a misunderstood paradise have come here and done all kinds of "interesting" things with what others have written. And not just my word either. If someone has the inclination to be detached with reality, they will be. What I, or anybody else says, won't influence that in the long run. Even when I carefully manicure every word I say, someone can (and too often has) take it out of context, misquote it, or spin it the way they want. If I worried too much about the possibility of some nutjob getting their panties or boxers in a twist about the stuff I wrote I don't know how I could possibly handle being scrutinized by LITERALLY tens of thousands of people year after year. Getting bent out of shape about the rare screwball who shows up here trying to self medicate themselves would take all of the fun out of this gig. But perhaps I shouldn't say that either since I might get misquoted Steve

Michael Emrys
Okay, time to lock this one up before it gets out of hand. Oh damn, I can't do that! It's a little like being tied into a chair in front of a tv running reruns of I Love Lucy 24/7, isn't it? Michael

Steve Brilliant Stuff, although for obvious reasons the German govt might not agree with you and I can see where they are coming from. For the rest of us though, it shouldnt affect us.
