flamingknives
That would be a Jackal. Also referred to as an MWMIK (Mobility Weapon Mount Installation Kit). It's based on the Supacat HMT 400.
Lampshade111
Nice, we will see Challenger 2s with different armor kits? That one has the ERA on the lower front hull and additional side armor but a new kit is due to enter service soon.
Meach
I almost fell off my chair when I saw the video. I was thinking...when did the USMC start using Warriors? Brings back memories seeing those things in desert custard yellow.
flamingknives
They seem to have acquired better paint since Op Telic 1.
Meach
That's just Army custard poured over the vehicle. Nothing can penetrate that. Laugh in the face of RPG's in your pudding armoured Warrior.

sdp
It will be interesting to see if BFC will include the Bulldog in the British to&e. Here are some brits talking about their experience of the vehicle; And here's some more info; http://www.armedforces.co.uk/army/listings/l0035.html /sdp
flamingknives
Considering that you can't have mechanised battalions without them, it's unlikely to be left out, IMHO. Besides, it's properly Establishment, not TO&E, which is an American term. Look on Wikileaks for more info on them.
sdp
Thanks for the tip! So, from what I gather, the Saxons in the mechanized battalions will be replaced by Bulldogs? http://www.armedforces.co.uk/army/listings/l0030.html /sdp

Sequoia
So the Marines Module had Gunny Huntaar as the insider expert beta tester, who fills that role for the Brits?

sdp
John Kettler; Yes, I've already read that MoD study - excellent stuff you found there, thanks! Also enjoyed reading the UK Army Field Manual for Desert Operations! http://wikileaks.org/wiki/UK_Army_Field_Manual:_Desert_Operations_2003 /sdp

flamingknives
sdp, AFAICT, both the Paras and the Commandos definately use the Jackal. I'm not too sure which other units use them, although there is some suggestion that people with black masking tape across their eyes use them as well. There has been additional procurement of Jackal above and beyond the numbers needed for the patrols platoons, so that might indicate that other units will get them to replace land rover WMIKs in recce or fire support roles.
sdp
Ah, so -just speculating -this might, just might, mean that we will get paras and/or marines in the British module? And then again, perhaps not... /sdp
flamingknives
Well, the difference between Paras, Marines and any other infantry is only the organisation and maybe one or two bits of kit. There's no reason that the Paras or Marines wouldn't be included, AFAICT.
