Kieme(ITA)
Hello everybody! I'd like to present you my first CMSF scenario. Some notes: This scenario represents a US scaled and waving attack onto a fraction of a small Syrian military airport, along with a Syrian counter-attack. The map represents ideally some of the main types of buildings you may find in a military airport, although distances have been reduced for gaming pourposes. Actually this map is playable in multiplayer or Blue side vs AI (a total of 3 different StratAI plans have been set). Screenshots: Welcome to Assad Military Airport: Never ever drive drunk, even in the middle of the desert... I didn't do it! "I eat dust for breakfast!" It's a house! No, it's a bunker! No, it's a hangar! Well, you find what's that. Please feel free to comment, if you don't want to waste too much time you could help me filling this simple form with 0 to 10 votes: Map Design: Fun: General Balance: Units Selection: AI plans: Briefing: Thanks for playing, regards, Kieme [ August 11, 2007, 12:31 AM: Message edited by: Kieme(ITA) ]
Kieme(ITA)
Please tell me if the download link doesn't work..
Cameroon
I'll give it a try. Like the other scenario I'm trying out it, though, I won't be able to play it until tomorrow probably. Doesn't the office know I have better things to be doing?
Cameroon
By the way, the download works but that is definitely one ad-filled page, heh. Not easy to find the link amongst everything else, which I suppose is what they've tried to do.
Yardstick
Wow. That map is amazing! We Really need a "CM:SF Scenario Talk" forum.
ChrisND
Kieme, nice one, I gotta steal that hanger idea from ya for my airport, there are three hangers I should have done that to. I wish I had thought of that!
Pandur
lol! i give you 9.5 at least for your "creative" hangars, i think i know how all other "hardened aircraft shelters" will look like on other maps good one
Yskonyn
Nice! Testing it tonight!
Dowarisch
That hangar idea is great, damn genius.
Kieme(ITA)
Thanks guys, really appreciated! steal it as much as you can since I love those hangars too
rogue187
I tried to download your mission, but I couldn't get the game to recognize it. The file is a .rar file and all the battles are .btt I put your scenerio in the scenerio folder, but when I go to battles in game, it isn't there. Did I miss something?
Becket
.rar is a file compression extension. You'll need to unpack it first, assuming that you have something that can unpack .rar files.
Laptop
Will give it a try. Looks like a cool map. Tim
pad152
Thanks for the scenario Does anyone know how to get the map to be used for quick battles?
Kieme(ITA)
Sry guys I had to pack it up with WinRar since the plain format wasn't easy to upload, at least it seems so. Anyway you can get it unpacked easily. Oh by the way if you people like the map I'll try to set up some forces configuration for multiplayer only. Like pure armor or pure mechanized or light mechanized etc. We'll see, otherwise you can do it yourselves. I'll prepare more AI plans in order to get the map played by Syrian side too and more plans for the Syrian managed by computer... Have fun. PS: quick shot about how those hangars were made: [ August 09, 2007, 11:02 AM: Message edited by: Kieme(ITA) ]
Laptop
I just finished playing this map. It is amazing! One suggestion though would be to increase the time limit. I ran out of time at the end (was playing it RT). I would have loved to continued to battle for the airport but just got bogged down. Dennis50
Gosh ..am I allowed to be having this much fun? Thanks Kieme(ITA) ..it's a shame for all these scenario's to be scattered all around like this. Great stuff. Thanks again. Regards, Gunz
handihoc
Is there any way you can put this up in another format? I have winrar, but when I try to extract this it tells me the files are corrupt. So can't run it.
Molloy
Truly a great scenario Kieme(ITA). Very nice mapping and design generally. To be honest, I had more fun playing it than most of the official releases. Thanks!

It seems most are not experiencing file corruption, so it's likely on your end somewhere (BTW, I use and recommend IZArc).
Roter Stern
Very interesting map with very nice unqiue detail, well done. I'd love to comment on how the battle went, however in the 30min alloted I only got as far as the first few guard towers... perhaps for a map of this size 60 or even 90min time limit is in order?
Capt. Toleran
I think 45 min should do it, and allow the players a more controlled approach. If anything BFC stresses, it's to take things slow. Either that, or the tanks need to show up a heck of a lot sooner. Other than that, great scenario.
wolf66
I downloaded it, unzipped it and copied it in the appropriate scenarios folder as .btt file, but after starting the game it doesn't show in the battle screen ? am I missing something here ? The only strange thing is, when looking at the game via the file manager the names of files are given in german, but I installed it in English and it is only English when I'm in the game .... so the new battle file is the only one in english when now looking it up in the file manager ....
BigDork
That has got to be one of the 10 worst pages on the Internet. Okay I let the counter run down and then what? I can't find the stupid link. And if I try the website using IE it causes an error and IE crashes.
