panzermartin
I love the shots in this entry... http://www.battlefront-newsletter.com/Blogfront/tabid/55/EntryID/81/Default.aspx Some AA/AF filters at last
ChrisND
Those unnaturaly long index fingers creep me out.
Sgt Joch
The terrain is coming along really well, you can see dust stirred up by the explosion, a telephone pole, debris (tires, barrels)...
panzermartin
love the lada and the pick up..I see something like a recoiless rifle on it? First time I see some low sun illumination effects, for dawn/dusk. Looks good!
JaguarUSF
No sir, Mr. American. My pickup with a mounted machine gun is perfectly normal. You don't need to see his identification. These aren't the droids you're looking for. He can go about his business. Move along.
panzermartin
Will the Lada come equipped with radio/cassete player/bas boost? Arab Rap/Hip-hop will be a serious unconventional asset in the hands of an experienced player.
Dirtweasle
A couple questions just to make sure I have this right; Specialists (the stealthy spies) cannot pick up or use *any* weapons? Specialists cannot trigger IEDs or direct any other fire save giving direction to "trigger pullers"?
c3k
AAAHHHH!!! My neck hurts just looking at those poor SOB's. Whose head really sticks up like that when they're on their belly? I mean, whose UNBROKEN neck can flex like that? Or is that flexibility something that's demanded by Syria's military? Ow. Ken
JaguarUSF
There is a specified trigger person for each IED. Think of specialists as scout that aren't supposed to pick up weapons. If I saw a civilian picking up a gun, I'd be mighty suspicious.
Steiner14
Instead, unconventional units are simply hidden from the US player until his units have reason to “suspect” there is a hostile unit, at which point it is spotted and targetable. In game terms, some units have a “stealth rating” that other units lack.Wow. Here we see another example, why BFC is the leading developer in the genre: from the deep understanding of the problem, the effects of the real thing, they conclude what they need and what they don't need to get it done and then they decide how they implement it instead to follow the simplest solution. What i would like to ask Steve is, if they follow structured formal procedures, to get things analyzed that well. I assume so, since the outcome is always of such a high quality and he never seems to make any mistakes or oversees something. Yea I get that the action could / would / should unmask the specialist as a combatant. My question though is if it is even possible, not the consequences.
Pvt. Ryan
Damn, I was hoping for CMSF: Vice City.

Ken It's part of the militants training, they snap your neck so that you can do Exorcist impressions. True story.

ChrisND
It's just like Ugly Bob - has to wear a mask to score with chicks because he is so hideously ugly (and he scores with Celine, so it MUST work.)

The reason they were hoods is not because they're ninjas, it's because they have flaming skulls that float above shoulders instead of heads.
Cpl Steiner
In all the nitpicking no-one seems have to have mentioned the really nice thing about the irregular units. They are all unique, with slight differences such as the colour and style of boots and clothing. Loving it!

Then you're gonna love the feature that you can link the game with Sims 2, create a character in a Damascus neighbourhood, go shopping for cool clothes, weapons and cars, and then lead your friends against invaders in CMSF!
bitchen frizzy
They're fabulous! Especially the guy in front with the blue blazer - fighting in style. Is that an Armani?
mPisi
Far too good trigger discipline for irregulars. But I guess with a 6" index finger you have to be careful. Uncon rules sound very interesting, but I would like to see some with weapons. Small arms ambush from vehicles, or on foot from behind (un-modelled here) crowds.
Axel
I have no idea if you people are serious or not, but if you are you are nagging bastards!
