Cpl Steiner
Hi, We know that PBEM has made it into the game at last (hooray). However, I seem to remember some talk of having the option of playing some Blue on Blue or Red on Red battles. Did either of these options make it in? I'm hoping Red on Red is in so I can do some battles such as Fatah versus Hamas or something like that.

From what I remember reading, I think that capability was already built in.
aka_tom_w
I didn't think there was ever any question... (but I am just speculating, but if I was betting, I would bet that its in) -tom w
Battlefront.com
Nope, there was never a question about this. The reason it wasn't possible in CMx1 was simply because it wasn't part of the initial code design. It was for CMx2, so not a problem at all. Michael Dorosh
But can we use one set of skins for Blue 1 and another for Blue 2?
Battlefront.com
Yes, one side is skins and the other is shirts. Steve
Madmatt
You guys need to read more carefully... From the CMSF Features page, right under the first screenshot: Red vs. Blue (Syrian vs. NATO), Blue vs. Blue, and Red vs. Red play options Madmatt
Dr. Zoidberg
Matt, I think this was asked shortly before the website was released to the public.

benpark
Just to resurrect the question of whether or not there will be the ability of having two sets of separate graphics for blue on blue combat. I'm imagining an Iran vs. Iraq scenario pool if possible (minus the messy gas attacks).
NoxSpartana
Just wondering but will the game ship with scenarios with blue vs. blue etc...? Or do we have to make our own? Or can we simply use an existing map and place blue and blue or red and red units down on it? IS there still a "buy units" options in the game? Sorry for all the [badly worded] questions
SGT_56M
I'll have to recheck the finalized scenarios (or let Rune answer) but I don;t think I remember seeing any RvR or BvB scenarios. QBs on the other hand are ready to be played as Red on Red or Blue on Blue if the player wishes.
Moon
Actually at least one Red on Red scenario was made ("Strength and Faith"), and I'm 90% sure that it's included in 1.00. Martin
rune
Yes, there is one red vs red scenario. No Blue vs Blue. Rune
Sergei
Also, it is possible to have a red and blue, or violet, force. So you can have red vs. violet, blue vs. violet and double violet.

Sergei
Heh, only trying to say that you can have a mix of US and Syrian forces on each side. Eg. one side has Abrams and BMP's, the other T-72's and Bradleys. It also allows the designer to give the Red side air support.
Dook
You know, by the time all the modules come out, you will be able to come pretty close to creating the much-requested and much-refused US-USSR Cold War game, albeit a few years later than some might like. Highly capable AFVs and air support for both sides and, if the accounts of a Ft. Lewis-like setting available for CMSF are true, terrain that might simulate central Europe. Plus, the ability to mix and match at will. Who said BFC would never do a hypothetical conflict?

That would open up all sorts of modern war possibilities.
